Dad's carers have built up a very good relationship with him, gaining his trust and understanding his needs. They encourage dad to be independent and praise him for his efforts. Excellent service from all the care staff, they go above and beyond. They become family, I love the interaction with my son. I do believe if it wasn't for the amazing care they give, my son wouldn't be where he is today. Excellent service. If we have any problems, I ring the office and they sort it
as soon as possible. Brilliant service, highly recommend Bluebird Care.

Bluebird has been very proactive in reacting to changes needed in my mother's care. A package has been in place for some months and the care has been very professional and consistent. I would recommend the company as the staff are exemplary and very caring.

We could not have wished for a nicer team of carers to look after my brother. They always treated him with the utmost care and respect. We even enjoyed lighter moments with them, which was just what myself and the rest of the family needed to help us through this really difficult time. Thank you all

My husband had the best care with Bluebird carers. They were so kind and thoughtful. They made sure he was always clean and tidy and made sure he was happy to take his medication for them. They were always happy and cheerful and made us laugh a lot which was good as my husband had a great sense of humour.
We looked forward to seeing them. I can't praise them enough and will miss them very much. I will recommend Bluebird to anyone who needs carers. Thank you so much for your help.

What can I say, other than amazing!
My sister was nursed at home for ten months, four times daily by the girls that work for Bluebird.
They are very caring and kind.
Absolute angels is all I can say.
We had mainly two carers who worked together quite a lot.
Such caring girls and very thoughtful.

would not hesitate to recommend this company.

The standard of care that my mother receives is excellent. The carers are always polite, professional, smart and appear to be well trained. My mother's behaviour can be challenging but the carers are always understanding and remain good-humoured. Generally, the carers arrive within fifteen minutes of
my mother's standard care times but there are occasions when the rota can change without warning. This can be frustrating and upsetting for my mother who needs routine and certainty. The care is extremely expensive, so not affordable to many.

My terminally ill wife required the support of carers.
A short time ago, Bluebird care was required to provide care to my terminally ill wife. As you can imagine, this was a very difficult time for me, and the support of carers was very much appreciated. What I don't think I appreciated was the very
high level of genuine care and support we actually received. All the carers were highly professional in all they did, but more important to me, and my wife, was the kindness they showed on every visit. They managed to make her laugh, and feel that she was important to them. When she passed away three weeks ago, some of the carers cried, and I was so touched that they thought so much of her. It has been the most difficult 3 weeks of my life. But I would like to take this chance to give my heartfelt thanks to all the staff and carers at Bluebird. I won't forget their warmth and kindness.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care received by my uncle from the Darlington Bluebird Care team. He had visits four times a day from a small group of carers, who got to know him very well. They built up an excellent relationship with him and enabled him to spend the last months of his life at
home, where he wanted to be. My uncle was treated with dignity and carers frequently went beyond the call of duty to ensure he was cared for in a way that suited him. I was particularly impressed by the calibre of the carers - I felt confident that my uncle was in good hands and extremely grateful that they were able to respond appropriately and swiftly when they noticed that something was amiss with his health. I also very much appreciated the level of communication with me and the support I received, personally. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Bluebird Care, Darlington.

David Haswell

Bluebird Care South Tyneside is led by David & Kelly Haswell. David & Kelly started delivering homecare in South Tyneside to help support customers in the area to receive homecare and support while remaining in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Delivering the highest quality of homecare and support is David & Kelly’s absolute goal and the team would be delighted to hear from anyone who is seeking homecare for themselves or for a loved one, or would simply like to talk to someone about the services we provide.


David has gained a BA in Economics and Accounting and a Masters in International Business Management from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Previous to setting up the company, David's work roles included Business Development, as well as Product and Marketing Management.


John

John Nesbitt

Job Title: Registered Manager

John has worked in the social care industry in various roles since 1998 and worked his way up from the very bottom to my current post. He has experience in many areas including adult social care, learning disabilities and complex physical disabilities, complex clinical services as well as older peoples and youth sectors.


John will be working closely with the two deputy managers in the branch, Amy and Kayleigh to ensure that they support everyone to deliver the highest quality of care to our customers regardless of if they are End of life, Complex or domiciliary packages. Rob Mackins

Job Title: Quality and Compliance Manager

Rob has been working at Bluebird Care Newcastle and South Tyneside officially since December 2022, where he takes on his role as Training Compliance Manager across all franchises. Rob's role entails everything training, whether it be overseeing all quality and compliance across Bluebird Care Newcastle and South Tyneside or training staff induction training and mandatory training. Rob ensures all staff have the correct training provided to start their career in care. As well as being involved with the training, Rob also designs all the training across all franchises, this will be for Newcastle, South Tyneside, York, and Darlington. Over the years, Rob has always been heavily involved in care, accidentally falling into the role, however, would not want to have it any other way. The most rewarding thing about Rob's role is that he likes “seeing staff come out feeling confident and ready” when starting their journey in care.


In Rob's spare time, he volunteers for the sea cadets and teaches watersports in areas such as canoeing. All about the camping life, Rob is currently renovating his campervan, where he hopes to visit all around England and Wales.


Kayleigh

Kayleigh Simpson

Kayleigh has been working at Bluebird Care Newcastle and South Tyneside since November 2021, where she takes on her role as Deputy Manager. Kayleigh was previously a carer and has been in the industry for 15 years, being in care allows her to continue helping and supporting people. Within her role as Deputy Manager, she oversees care staff and supports them in their future of care, Kayleigh wants to make a difference to the customers and help provide the support needed to the care staff to do so. The key responsibilities within Kayleigh's role include interacting with care staff and helping them excel in the world of care.


In Kayleigh's spare time, she likes to go camping in her campervan, whilst spending time with her family. Also, Kayleigh previously had a business where she created personalised items, this was a hobby that consumed a lot of her time but loved getting involved with crafts.
