Bluebird has been looking after my dad for 9 months and were especially supportive switching to care for my mum when dad went into hospital for a short period. Then more recently when dad returned home but mum (his main carer) went into hospital. The team always kept us aware of the visit schedule,
with the same key carers at each visit, were prompt, very caring and always listened to what my parents needed.

Excellent! Office staff are amazing, go above and beyond for my dad and us, the family, very supportive, excellent communication really couldn't ask for better.
Carers are amazing, very patient, always make sure Dad is ok and has everything he needs before leaving, will always do as much as they can
with times allocated.
I would recommend this care company, it certainly is one of the best I've known.

Both carers were excellent supporting my Dad with toilet, dressing and washing when he came up to stay over Christmas.
Both arrived slightly early and both were caring and considerate.
Very happy.
One member of staff in particular deserves a mention as well as she arranged it all on very short
notice.

Would highly recommend Bluebird Care. They have been looking after my nan for the last 10 months and they genuinely care about people and go above and beyond.
From the first contact I've had with Bluebird, I've felt like my nan has been cared for incredibly. Everyone who I've spoken to from the carers,
management team, out of hours, everyone has been helpful, supportive, friendly and efficient. Nothing is ever too much trouble.
Everyone at Bluebird is kind, caring and compassionate and my nan felt understood and respected throughout. It has been a huge relief for me to know that nan was being looked after by such amazing, caring and understanding people. I really appreciate everything they did and I can't thank them enough.

My mum has used Bluebird Care for convalescence after her operation. One member of staff was so kind, caring and compassionate on our first meeting that I knew this was the right option. Mum had two or three different carers over the last two months and they were all incredibly professional, kind, considerate
and friendly. She is now back on her feet and no longer needs the support from Bluebird but we wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Thanks to the team, absolute angels.

Bluebird carers have been looking after my mother and my father for quite a few months, they are polite, helpful and their customer service skills are excellent. The office staff are extremely helpful and will always give advice and help when needed. I cannot imagine life without them and I would recommend
them to anyone who needs help with their elderly parents. Absolutely great service.

We are very satisfied with the care and attention received both by the administration team and the carer who visits. Time-keeping is excellent, my father is treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. Patience is shown throughout each visit.

Three months ago I needed to find a local care provider for my 92-year-old dad. After researching local Facebook groups for recommendations I contacted Bluebirds. The managers were immediately friendly, reassuring and helpful. They kept in regular contact, came out frequently to see me and my dad. The
care workers are amazing. They arrive on time, are willing to help with anything needed. They formed a great report with my dad and treated him with great dignity, warmth and humour which he really appreciated. I cannot recommend Bluebird Care highly enough.

Overall, a brilliant service. All the girls I have dealt with have been polite and friendly always making me smile which is good for someone with my conditions. Totally professional with what the staff do I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I have been receiving care from Bluebird Care for over seven years since I had rods inserted in my back to straighten out my Scoliosis. I find them all very professional and very cheerful when they make their daily visits to me.
They help me with personal care - showering and getting dressed. I do
the things I can do, and the carer helps with the things I can't do, like washing and drying my lower legs and feet and washing and drying the middle of my back. They then help me to dress; assisting again with the lower part of my body with underwear, trousers, socks and shoes. I am then set up for the day.
I would readily recommend Bluebird Care. The carers are very reliable, well-trained and always bright and pleasant. The management has my respect because they have all been my carer at some point over the years and fully understand what is needed.

Hayley Plaster

Job Title: Registered Care Manager

Joined: 2013

I started working for Bluebird Care in 2013 as a care worker with no experience. Previous to this I was working in bars and cafés as a bar attender / kitchen assistant. My mother suffered with M.S and had carers visiting most of her adult life, right up until she passed away at a young age of 48, I felt care was a great industry for me to get involved in and wanted to be able to make a difference.


As soon as I started as a care worker, I felt the values of Bluebird Care were very close to my heart. Roughly a year later I had completed my level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care and was promoted to Care Supervisor. I really enjoyed being support for the team and our service users. I was in this role for around 5 years, after completing my level 3 in Health and Social Care, I was then promoted to Care Coordinator. Coordinating care is not an easy task but I feel the team responded well to me and saw me as a role model within the company.


Since May 2023 I have been Care Manager for both teams (Watford & Three Rivers and Chiltern & Dacorum) – receiving my registration in October 2023. I am currently completing my level 5 in leadership and management. I very much enjoy my role and challenges that come with it. I am always looking for ways to expand my professional development.


In my own time I enjoy reading a good thriller / mystery book and spending time with my family and friends.

Job Title: Care Coordinator

Joined: 2019

My grandfather was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2018, after witnessing his daily struggles and assisting him with his personal care, doctors/hospital appointments and shopping I thought I would try a change in career. I joined bluebird care in 2019 as an inexperienced carer, very quickly into my new role I realised I had found my passion. Caring for those who need it the most. Some days I would be the only person our customers would see, I found great joy in putting a smile on their faces whilst I was visiting. My confidence greatly improved with the amazing support I received from not only my care team but from the office team too. I was then given the opportunity to join our emergency on call team, the responsibility of this position helped my confidence and knowledge grow further. I gained my Level 2 Diploma in Adult social care whilst working in the community and performing my on-call duties. In 2023 I was given the opportunity to cover some maternity leave within the office as Care Supervisor.


Shortly after I was promoted to Care Coordinator for the Chiltern and Dacorum team. I am currently completing my level 3 diploma in adult social care. I have also gained several qualifications surrounding Dementia and recently became a dementia friend.


I enjoy spending time with my family, playing mini golf, board games and watching movies. I love going to the theatre and so far, my favourite production has to be Matilda. I’m also a collector of monopoly’s I currently have 32 different versions and growing including one from the 1940’s. I am also a fully qualified swimming teacher.

Becky Hennessy

Job Title: Care Supervisor

Joined: 2017

I started working for Bluebird Care as a care worker in July 2017. Previous to this I worked in a residential home, due to working in different care environments I now know that I prefer homecare due to the care being more person centred and less institutional.


I worked for the Watford & Three Rivers team for 5 years before I was promoted to Care Supervisor for the Chiltern & Dacorum team. I absolutely loved the job right from the start. I feel like I have achieved so much working with Bluebird Care. I enjoy meeting the new customers and being support for the care team and existing customers.


I have completed both levels 2 & 3 of the NVQ in Health and Social Care. I am very happy in my role and loving every minute of it. I have recently come back from maternity leave; I enjoy swimming with my son and spending time with family.

Elaine Kyne

Job Title: Care Supervisor

Joined: 2014

I started my career in care 7 years ago when I joined Bluebird Care, before that I worked for a distribution company for 20 + years in HR/Payroll. I decided I wanted a change in career, after speaking to a friend who also works for Bluebird Care I was convinced this was something I needed to pursue.


When I started my career as a Carer it was very apparent very quickly this was absolutely the right choice. I really embraced my role as Carer and became more confident each day with the lovely customers I would visit and the great team of Carers I worked with. I gained my Level 2 in Health and Social Care and started to support the office team with admin tasks when needed whilst still working in community as a Carer. I then had an amazing opportunity to cover some maternity leave in the office as a Care Supervisor, during this time I completed my Level 3 in Health and Social Care which I am so proud of.


I am now a permanent member of the office team in the role as a Care Supervisor for the Chiltern area and the Live In Care team. I really enjoy my role as I still have contact with our Customers and all the Carers, as well as starting up new care packages. My move into Care has been so rewarding and the best decision I made 7 years ago.


In my own time I enjoy spending time with my Husband and family and enjoy holidays and social outings!
