With over 18 Years of experience I have been able to bring my knowledge and experience to Thames Care and have a great input whilst working alongside the Registered Manager. My role as Care Manager, involves me meeting potential new clients in their homes or hospital settings and to assist them to be actively involved when setting up a new care package to suit their needs and wishes, allowing them to remain in their own homes whilst maintaining their independence. I have worked for Thames Care since February 2019, having spent 14 years working for Thames Valley Police I felt a new challenge and change of career was due.
When I joined Thames Care I worked as a domiciliary care assistant until I started working in the office as a Care Co-ordinator. Then in September 2020, I took over responsibility for overseeing the Live-in care packages, being promoted to Lead Care Co-ordinator. Working in the office is a busy and demanding role, however, doing this alongside such a good team makes every day satisfying. We all work as part of a team that together provides a committed service to our clients. Assisting people to improve their quality of life is very rewarding and I go home every day knowing I have made a difference.
