Right at Home staff are a perfect combination of professionalism and friendliness, always happy to help out with small tasks, assist with shopping, medication and paperwork but, most importantly, they provide invaluable and genuine companionship, particularly welcome in this time of social distancing.
My aunt always speaks highly of each and every carer who visits her.

The carer assigned to look after my mother is a fabulous fit for her. As well as being highly professional she is the ideal personality type to look after her, they get on extremely well together and genuinely enjoy each other's company.

I have been using Right at Home for almost a year, and throughout that time they have been most efficient; the carers have always undertaken their tasks in an efficient, caring and sensitive manner. Recently a crisis arose and the live-in carer and office staff managed the situation; the swift action

Right at Home have been tremendous with their support for my mother and enabled us as a family to continue caring for her as we would all wish to be cared for in older age. The team are extremely competent, very nice, caring and always on time. Right at Home have never let us down and recently went
the extra mile to help us out as a family at short notice when one of us had an injury and could not do as much as usual.

We found Right at Home to be professional and competent in all our dealings with them. Not only this but also very caring and compassionate. Nothing was too much trouble for them. All the carers were of first quality. They nursed our mother until she passed away at the end of July. After this, the manager
came with me to the funeral director's and doctor's which was a great comfort as well as a practical help when I was still in shock. The carer remained for 3 days and helped me tidy and clean the house. This was again an invaluable service.
All the carers were very well trained yet also used their own initiative. I learned a huge amount from each one of them.

Super care provided for my mother who suffers from Alzheimer's related dementia and has been living at home with 24-hour care. This care has suited her particularly well as her dementia has progressed. The carers have been proactive, communicated well via Whatsapp and enabled my mother to have structure
and stability, particularly as she has been facing the upheaval of moving to residential care near me in Sheffield a long way from home.

My Grandmother has been receiving care and companionship from the team here for a few months now. Everyone is so friendly and the ladies that care for her are more like friends. I have no hesitation in recommending Right at Home GF - the care provided has exceeded expectations. Mum has daily care visits and is also accompanied to medical appointments; on occasion, additional visits or outings have been accommodated, often at short notice as a result of unexpected circumstances.
I live at a distance from Mum and we have come to depend on the reliable and friendly efficiency of the CareGivers. I sense that the team know Mum as an individual. She is treated with kindness and warmth and feels comfortable with the CareGivers, even at medical appointments. The communication between team members, and with me, is excellent. I am kept well-informed about any issues Mum might be facing and that enables me to better support her. I am confident that Mum’s well-being is the CareGivers’ priority.

Cannot recommend Right at Home highly enough. Always provided excellent support at my grandmother's home where she is always treated very well and with dignity. But when she was taken into hospital recently Right at Home were unbelievably flexible in accommodating my grandmother's increased care needs.
Just the sort of people you need at this time when you have a vulnerable person being discharged home. Brilliant!

Mum is always kindly spoken to and treated with courtesy.
They are outstanding at treating mum with dignity and respect, always giving her choices and allowing a 'NO' response. She always looks cared for whenever I drop by.
In times of snow or sickness, they work together to make sure Mum is safe
and has her visits as scheduled.
The team are very knowledgable and quick to pick up a change in behaviour whether through infection, etc.
I feel Mum is cared for as if she was any of the teams own mum.
Mum is not always compliant but the team are incredibly skilled at engaging with her and gaining her cooperation.
I am kept informed regularly and together we are making a real difference to Mum's quality of life and daily living.
Care in the home is expensive but it is the quality and independence that it gives Mum and the satisfaction it gives me knowing my much loved mum is so well cared for is worth every penny.

I have been overwhelmed by a very kind member of staff who gave up two days of her holiday to take me into hospital, bring me home again, stay the night to do the dressing, cook breakfast then go home to her family. What a wonderful thing to do and what a wonderful team of staff. Then on Wednesday 19th
December 2018 the owner of the agency, dressed up as Santa and brought a gift with him. They deserve an award for their kindness and time. Wishing you a very happy Christmas.

All staff in the office/admin were charming, helpful, clearly spoken and all totally efficient. The carers were superbly matched to my mother's needs and we came to love them both in extremely short time. Quite amazing. I just wish the relationship could have gone on longer!

Rhys Bailey

Job Title: Business Development & Marketing Manager

Liz leads both Marketing and Recruitment, bringing a wealth of experience to the table. Since joining Right at Home a few years ago, she has become a valued member of the leadership team and an incredible asset to the company. Liz is actively involved in the community, whether at recruitment fairs, organising events at HQ, or participating in local community gatherings to promote Right at Home and represent the company with a friendly face. Her dedication never goes unnoticed, and she is truly the glue that holds her team together.


Can you share a bit about your background and what you did prior to joining Right at Home?
I have worked in a marketing role for 20 years, the majority of which was in the promotional merchandise industry. Before this I was at university studying Art History!


What inspired you to join Right at Home?
I loved the Right at Home company values which are strongly aligned with my own and that it is a growing company which genuinely wants to do good things for people whether it is the clients, their families or the carers!


What does a typical day look like for you?
I feel like there is no typical day for me! My role is so varied which I love!! I can be doing anything from working with my team on recruitment or marketing strategies to making calls to carers to check in on their well being. I work a lot on our interval and external communications and generally aim to make Right at Home the best place to work for everyone!


What do you enjoy or find most rewarding about your role?
All of it. I love my team and I love seeing carers and clients and when they are happy - I am happy.

Kelly

Kelly Baker

Job Title: Senior Care Coordinator

Joined: 2016

Kelly has demonstrated many years of dedication to Right at Home since joining in 2016. She is a much-loved team member and an inspiration for both her work ethic and loyalty.


As a Senior Care Coordinator, Kelly is "responsible for ensuring that all schedules for all areas go out in a timely manner, overseeing the coordinators for all areas to ensure that every area is working the same way, having weekly meetings with all the coordinators." Kelly adds that she is "responsible for ensuring that all new care enquiries are called and the information is uploaded and assessments are booked." Additionally, Kelly keeps the management team informed by sending various reports and analytical information each week.


For Kelly, "building the relationships with the carers, clients and families" is what she finds most fulfilling.

Job Title: Care Manager

Joined: 2017

Lynsey came to Right at Home in 2017, where she quickly became a credit to the company.


As the Farnham Care Manager, Lynsey's job role consists of "managing a team of carers and clients to ensure that we are providing a high level of care and support to both carers and clients."


Lynsey continues to explain that the most fulfilling part of her role is "helping people remain living in their own homes for as long as possible."

Adriana

Adriana Mendonca

Job Title: Registered Manager - Guildford

Joined: 2014

Adriana made a significant career change when she became a carer, she initially joined as a CareGiver, where her outstanding hard work, recognised by everyone, led to her promotion to Guilford's Registered Manager. No one deserved it more.


"As a registered manager I am responsible for overseeing home care services provided to clients in their own homes. Key responsibilities include: supervising and supporting caregivers, and performance management to ensure high-quality service is delivered." Adriana then highlights that she "ensures the services comply with regulatory standards and requirements, maintaining accurate records, and preparing for inspections"


For Adriana, the most fulfilling aspect of her job is "making a difference" and "knowing that our efforts help clients maintain their independence and live comfortably at home". She explains "enabling them to achieve their goals is both powerful and motivating".

Vicky Parker

Job Title: Care Coordinator - Guildford

Joined: 2020

Vicky has been with Right at Home since 2020 and during this time, she has become a valued team member, consistently putting the team and her work before herself.


"As the care coordinator and care supervisor, I schedule the visits for the clients and carers. I liaise with clients and their families, from initial inquiry and throughout their time with us." Vicky continues to explain that she also "carries out reviews and helps to keep support plans up to date, making sure clients get the very best care from our team. I support the team daily, always on hand if they need help."

Hayleigh

Hayleigh Jennings

Job Title: Recruitment Executive

Joined: 2020

Hayleigh has been in the care sector for over 15 years, she started off as a carer and fell in love with it on her first day! Due to her astonishing work ethic, she was promoted to a care manager which led her to her current role of Recruitment Executive.


Being the Recruitment Executive for Right at Home, Hayley's job consists of "managing all UK-based recruitment over all four offices and live-in." She is also "responsible for the onboarding, safe recruiting, probation sign off, initial calls to applicants applying for jobs, filtering and sorting of applicants. Working with colleges and job centres, attending recruitment fairs, job Posting on various platforms, and liaising with all applicants coming through on all platforms."


Hayley states that the most fulfilling element of her job is that she " loves to see people flourish within their roles throughout the business."

Carrie

Carrie Addison

Job Title: Recruitment Marketing Onboarding Executive

Joined: 2019

Carrie initially joined her career in Care as a compassionate CareGiver, and she then flourished into a Recruitment, Marketing, & Onboarding Executive for Right at Home. With years of experience within the sector, she is the perfect fit for being the Recruitment, Marketing, & Onboarding Executive, which she helps ease new CareGivers when they first join.


Carrie explains that her "role varies" but she would say that she "supports the Recruitment and Marketing team by putting out Job ads according to the needs of each territory, onboarding caregivers into their new role and seeing them through their probation periods." Carrie also "looks after all the caregivers who are part of our sponsorship team" and is tasked with sending out the Gem wards.


For Carrie the most fulfilling element of her job is "sending out the Gems awards, I know it sounds silly, but reading what amazing things our caregivers do, always makes me proud of them."

Hayley Thaysen

Job Title: Trainer, Community Groups and Befriending Coordinator

Joined: 2020

Hayley joined the Right at Home team in 2020 as our wonderful Trainer, following several years of experience as a Caregiver.


"My role is to train new candidates and current carers in face-to-face training, ensuring all team members are fully equipped to provide outstanding person-centred care, feel confident in what they are doing and are given access to further training opportunities through diplomas and specialised training." Additionally, Hayley delivers "Love to Move" seated exercises in the community and runs the Farnham, Sunflower cafe.


Hayley describes "being able to share" her "enthusiasm for delivering excellent person-centred care" through her training as the most fulfilling aspect of her job.

Ella Seys

Job Title: Live-In Care Coordinator

Eve’s return to the care industry in the winter of 2024 led her to the role of Live-In Care Coordinator, where she has naturally flourished; her journey with Right at Home began in 2018 when she joined as a CareGiver. After a small break, Eve returned to join the office team, embracing the opportunity to continue giving back while overseeing the Live-In CareGivers. With her firsthand experience as a CareGiver and her compassion, there is truly no one better suited for this role.


Please provide a summary of what you do in your job role:


As a Live-In care coordinator I schedule visits for our Live-in clients and carers. Carry out reviews with clients and their families to ensure we are providing them with the relevant care, I update support plans to echo this. Carers are carefully selected for their clients so we have a good match of personalities and preferences.
