We have been using Right at Home for both my wife's personal care and companionship so that I am able to continue with my own interests. We have been with the company for just over two years and all the front line carers we have had for my wife have been excellent with their support, care and encouragement
for her. The minimum one hour visit makes all the difference as it enables carers to pay attention to detail and fulfil their personal care tasks.


The backup management and office staff have always been only to happy to help with our requests and needs.


The care is excellent with Right at Home GF.

The carers who look after my wife are unfailingly patient and considerate. There is never any criticism or complaint from her - and to me, they are now good friends. My favourite comment from them, as soon as I returned from the morning dog walk was "how would you like your eggs this morning?"

Following the 'mixed' experiences of a former care provider for my father, I have been delighted with Right at Home's services since they commenced Dad's care in November 2017. In a sometimes challenging environment, they are very approachable and have been particularly flexible with Dad's scheduling

My mother is 91 years young and wants to stay in the house she's lived in since 1969.
I live 3 hours drive away so it is fantastic to have a service from Right At Home that I can rely on 100% to provide sensitive and caring support for my mother, completely reliable and trustworthy. The training and
review system is also good. I like the philosophy - promote independence at home.

Right at Home have been supporting my mother with visits two and latterly three times a day for the last four years. The team of carers, as well as the management team, have been exemplary during the whole period. Descriptions that come to mind are kind, willing, lively, flexible, professional, supportive,
encouraging and "going the extra mile". My mother passed away over Easter and the carers were with her all the way. I am most grateful for all the help received for my mother and for myself.

The provider attends daily and arrives as scheduled. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and aware of my mother's particular needs and interests. They always make a particular point to engage with my mother socially and she looks forward to their visits.

So pleased that both my parents received such wonderful personal care from the team in Farnham - the staff were all so lovely and patient and nothing was too much trouble. It give me peace of mind to know that they were visiting as I live over an hour away and could only visit once or twice a week -
they did everything I would have done and always with a smile. If they was anything they were unsure about then they would contact me straight away.
Sadly my dad died recently and my mum later had to go into a care home as her physical needs and dementia became too severe to be managed at home. Really glad I found them and I would definitely recommend them.

The carer that visited mum every week gave her so much happiness and friendship and mum developed a very close bond with her. She looked forward to her visits eagerly and the admin staff were fabulous too. The companionship visits really brightened up mum's day and opened up her fast diminishing world
and also gave me a break without having to worry.

Initially, we involved Right At Home on a basis of befriending and companionship, with a view to providing assistance to my wife with personal care. My wife had rejected assistance from myself so it was a tricky and sensitive situation.
The carer came in and gradually won over my wife's trust and now
visits on a regular basis, this also gives me a break.
We envisage increasing care as necessary in the future.

My mother needed additional support to remain at home on discharge from the hospital over 2 years ago. We chose Right at Home because we were impressed by their commitment to one-hour calls, and to shaping care around her individual needs. She has just moved to residential care due to increased support
needs, but her experience of Right at Home Care Givers over the last 2 years was very good. Mum developed excellent relationships with the steady group of Care Givers who supported her, and we were all greatly impressed by their compassion, humanity, humour and commitment to accommodating mum's needs. The care and support she received were fundamental to her being able to maintain a level of independence in her own home. We were also appreciative of the efficiency of the office and admin staff, and the interest and commitment of the management to discussing ideas and concerns. More broadly, Right at Home seems to have a genuine commitment to the well-being of its clients.

The care that has been given by all the staff we met from the Right at Home team was outstanding, from the management team though to carers who provided the actual support. The carers came for an hour each day to cook lunch and helped the client take the correct medicines, in the correct amount. They used their initiative but did not override the wishes of the client. They communicated well with the family of the client and any problems or concerns about the health of
the client.
The carers' management were easily contactable and were aware of the minutiae of the client's case.

Job Title: Business Development & Marketing Manager

Liz leads both Marketing and Recruitment, bringing a wealth of experience to the table. Since joining Right at Home a few years ago, she has become a valued member of the leadership team and an incredible asset to the company. Liz is actively involved in the community, whether at recruitment fairs, organising events at HQ, or participating in local community gatherings to promote Right at Home and represent the company with a friendly face. Her dedication never goes unnoticed, and she is truly the glue that holds her team together.


Can you share a bit about your background and what you did prior to joining Right at Home?
I have worked in a marketing role for 20 years, the majority of which was in the promotional merchandise industry. Before this I was at university studying Art History!


What inspired you to join Right at Home?
I loved the Right at Home company values which are strongly aligned with my own and that it is a growing company which genuinely wants to do good things for people whether it is the clients, their families or the carers!


What does a typical day look like for you?
I feel like there is no typical day for me! My role is so varied which I love!! I can be doing anything from working with my team on recruitment or marketing strategies to making calls to carers to check in on their well being. I work a lot on our interval and external communications and generally aim to make Right at Home the best place to work for everyone!


What do you enjoy or find most rewarding about your role?
All of it. I love my team and I love seeing carers and clients and when they are happy - I am happy.

Kelly

Kelly Baker

Job Title: Senior Care Coordinator

Joined: 2016

Kelly has demonstrated many years of dedication to Right at Home since joining in 2016. She is a much-loved team member and an inspiration for both her work ethic and loyalty.


As a Senior Care Coordinator, Kelly is "responsible for ensuring that all schedules for all areas go out in a timely manner, overseeing the coordinators for all areas to ensure that every area is working the same way, having weekly meetings with all the coordinators." Kelly adds that she is "responsible for ensuring that all new care enquiries are called and the information is uploaded and assessments are booked." Additionally, Kelly keeps the management team informed by sending various reports and analytical information each week.


For Kelly, "building the relationships with the carers, clients and families" is what she finds most fulfilling.

Job Title: Care Manager

Lynsey came to Right at Home in 2017, where she quickly became a credit to the company.


As the Farnham Care Manager, Lynsey's job role consists of "managing a team of carers and clients to ensure that we are providing a high level of care and support to both carers and clients."


Lynsey continues to explain that the most fulfilling part of her role is "helping people remain living in their own homes for as long as possible."

Adriana

Adriana Mendonca

Job Title: Registered Manager - Guildford

Joined: 2014

Adriana made a significant career change when she became a carer, she initially joined as a CareGiver, where her outstanding hard work, recognised by everyone, led to her promotion to Guilford's Registered Manager. No one deserved it more.


"As a registered manager I am responsible for overseeing home care services provided to clients in their own homes. Key responsibilities include: supervising and supporting caregivers, and performance management to ensure high-quality service is delivered." Adriana then highlights that she "ensures the services comply with regulatory standards and requirements, maintaining accurate records, and preparing for inspections"


For Adriana, the most fulfilling aspect of her job is "making a difference" and "knowing that our efforts help clients maintain their independence and live comfortably at home". She explains "enabling them to achieve their goals is both powerful and motivating".

Vicky Parker

Job Title: Care Coordinator - Guildford

Joined: 2020

Vicky has been with Right at Home since 2020 and during this time, she has become a valued team member, consistently putting the team and her work before herself.


"As the care coordinator and care supervisor, I schedule the visits for the clients and carers. I liaise with clients and their families, from initial inquiry and throughout their time with us." Vicky continues to explain that she also "carries out reviews and helps to keep support plans up to date, making sure clients get the very best care from our team. I support the team daily, always on hand if they need help."

Hayleigh

Hayleigh Jennings

Job Title: Recruitment Executive

Joined: 2020

Hayleigh has been in the care sector for over 15 years, she started off as a carer and fell in love with it on her first day! Due to her astonishing work ethic, she was promoted to a care manager which led her to her current role of Recruitment Executive.


Being the Recruitment Executive for Right at Home, Hayley's job consists of "managing all UK-based recruitment over all four offices and live-in." She is also "responsible for the onboarding, safe recruiting, probation sign off, initial calls to applicants applying for jobs, filtering and sorting of applicants. Working with colleges and job centres, attending recruitment fairs, job Posting on various platforms, and liaising with all applicants coming through on all platforms."


Hayley states that the most fulfilling element of her job is that she " loves to see people flourish within their roles throughout the business."

Carrie

Carrie Addison

Job Title: Recruitment Marketing Onboarding Executive

Joined: 2019

Carrie initially joined her career in Care as a compassionate CareGiver, and she then flourished into a Recruitment, Marketing, & Onboarding Executive for Right at Home. With years of experience within the sector, she is the perfect fit for being the Recruitment, Marketing, & Onboarding Executive, which she helps ease new CareGivers when they first join.


Carrie explains that her "role varies" but she would say that she "supports the Recruitment and Marketing team by putting out Job ads according to the needs of each territory, onboarding caregivers into their new role and seeing them through their probation periods." Carrie also "looks after all the caregivers who are part of our sponsorship team" and is tasked with sending out the Gem wards.


For Carrie the most fulfilling element of her job is "sending out the Gems awards, I know it sounds silly, but reading what amazing things our caregivers do, always makes me proud of them."

Hayley Thaysen

Job Title: Trainer, Community Groups and Befriending Coordinator

Joined: 2020

Hayley joined the Right at Home team in 2020 as our wonderful Trainer, following several years of experience as a Caregiver.


"My role is to train new candidates and current carers in face-to-face training, ensuring all team members are fully equipped to provide outstanding person-centred care, feel confident in what they are doing and are given access to further training opportunities through diplomas and specialised training." Additionally, Hayley delivers "Love to Move" seated exercises in the community and runs the Farnham, Sunflower cafe.


Hayley describes "being able to share" her "enthusiasm for delivering excellent person-centred care" through her training as the most fulfilling aspect of her job.

Ella Seys

As a community relationships manager I have an external focus, looking at making good connections with people, organisations and charities in our local areas and talking to them about what we offer.

Job Title: Live-In Care Coordinator

Eve’s return to the care industry in the winter of 2024 led her to the role of Live-In Care Coordinator, where she has naturally flourished; her journey with Right at Home began in 2018 when she joined as a CareGiver. After a small break, Eve returned to join the office team, embracing the opportunity to continue giving back while overseeing the Live-In CareGivers. With her firsthand experience as a CareGiver and her compassion, there is truly no one better suited for this role.


Please provide a summary of what you do in your job role:


As a Live-In care coordinator I schedule visits for our Live-in clients and carers. Carry out reviews with clients and their families to ensure we are providing them with the relevant care, I update support plans to echo this. Carers are carefully selected for their clients so we have a good match of personalities and preferences.
