Support given to us has always been 100%. Our main contact is regularly with personnel allocated to us for care and support. Only occasional contact with the head office which has always been polite and extremely satisfactory.

I'm extremely impressed with the level of service provided. My dad was potentially vulnerable to fraud this week. Home Instead carers were proactive about informing me (as POA) and checking out the company. This took them several hours and some international phone calls - which they did as their standard
of care. Since I'm out-of-country, I rely on professionals to look out for my parents. This kind of service shows I can trust Home Instead completely. I'm very, very happy.

I highly recommend home instead senior care for the kind handling of my ‘case’ which was rather complex. The carers were exceedingly caring and kind, excellent timekeepers and very dedicated to their job. At no time did I feel intimidated or looked down on, and they went out of their way to make sure
I was comfortable and safe.

I found Home Instead by chance when urgently looking for care for my 92-year-old mother. She had never had carers before and was resistant to letting someone help. I was able to discuss this with Home Instead who were able to gently coax and care for my mother in a way that made her feel she could
still retain her dignity and self-pride. Living 2 hours away I too was helped to feel they were giving what I would have done as her daughter had I lived close by. The carers even gave value added help by accompanying my mum to hospital in emergencies and staying with her until settled. It was a great comfort to me when on her last and sadly final trip someone had been with her till settled into the ward. I can't thank the team enough in every aspect from keeping me well informed to getting help from doctors when needed the package was complete.

I hadn't known where to turn for help in looking after my father and was recommended to the Southend Home Instead branch. When I phoned I got straight through to the manager who immediately gave me advice, and a rough outline of prices. I had a visit with my father from the manager, and then once
agreed, we met with the carer we had been matched with.


Over the 3 months that we have had Home Instead's care, you have helped with anything that we have needed from companionship and just being there whilst my father goes about his morning, to personal care in very challenging circumstances. This month has proved particularly difficult as my father has become less able to care for himself but once again you have exceeded my expectations.


Anything that I think we need - you have always got a solution for. You have helped at an extremely difficult and sensitive time. You have helped to allow my father to stay living in his house, and you have given me huge peace of mind.

The carers are very friendly and regularly check with me when they have concerns. Now that Dad's dementia is getting worse, the carers are having to rethink their attitude and not ask Dad if he wants to do something, as they will not get a clear answer. Dad seems very happy with all the current staff
and they are very reliable.

Home Instead Senior Care (Southend-on-Sea) has been fantastic at caring for my mother who has advanced Alzheimer’s. Dad was keen to be able to let mum remain at home for as long as possible and with their help, this has been achievable. They are approachable and adaptable and are always happy to accommodate
our needs as much as possible.

Overall we have been very happy with the service. At present we are experiencing a few teething problems trying to match the right carer to my mother, which is distressing for her, but I’m confident this will soon be settled and she will have a routine she is happy with.

Mum was in a care home for several weeks and was extremely unhappy. Other patients were more advanced in their dementia and there were not enough activities to occupy her day so she spent hours pacing the corridors.
Since joining Home Instead Mum is a completely different person. Extremely happy and
engaged and has some of her old life back - going to hair and beauty appointments, yoga, trips to the cinema and eating out every day. The change in her is amazing - my sister, who lives overseas, recently commented that Mum looks 10 years younger than when she saw her 3 months ago. The carers I have met are all really good with her and happy to accommodate all the appointments.

Mum had two regular carers, both of whom cared for her as if she were their own. Mum was initially reluctant to accept personal care but over a fairly short period she became comfortable enough to ask for help and actively looked forward to her bath.
Carers brought their breakfast with them as this
encouraged Mum to eat. They had many coping strategies which made life so much more pleasant for Mum.
Office staff are very responsive and happy to make changes to the care package as and when needed.
I would recommend this agency with complete confidence.

I would highly recommend Home Instead Senior Care (Southend-On-Sea) carers, their staff are always polite, on time and go above and beyond for their clients.
Have had carers for my uncle for the past 18 months+ and now arranging care for my father with them.
Without the care Home Instead Senior Care
(Southend-On-Sea) provide, my uncle would not be able to live alone in his own home (which is all he wants at nearly 90 years of age).
The support with every aspect of daily life that is provided is second to none.

Home Instead have provided excellent care for my mother. I have been particularly impressed by how flexible and creative staff have been in trying to meet the needs of my mother, who is not always the easiest person to support! The team at Home Instead Senior Care (Southend-on-sea) are very efficient,
friendly and accessible and are always available at the end of the phone to deal with any problem, however small. They also provide excellent additional support round reviewing care packages and liaising with other health professionals. I would highly recommend them.
