Churchfields Home Care looked after my husband from his discharge from hospital in March 2016 until his death in December 2020. The care and support given by Churchfields enabled him to stay at home despite increasing and challenging medical problems, and I shall also always be grateful for the emotional
support the carers gave to me.

I would like to thank all the carers that are looking after my mum. You are all amazing people and I really don't know what I would have done without you all over the last few months. It has been difficult especially with lockdown and not one call has been missed. You all put yourselves at risk each
day in respect of the COVID-19 outbreak, but every day you come in happy and smiling and brighten my mum's day (and mine). The management work really hard and are on call 24/7, they are always really helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I am so lucky to have the support and the reassurance that my mum is being well cared for. If anyone is looking for support for a loved one, believe me I know this is a difficult decision and a huge responsibility to find the right agency. I hope you will believe me when I say you will find no other agency that will be more caring and that your loved one will be in good hands and properly cared for.

Every one of the carers visiting me have been very friendly, patient and caring with me - nothing is too much trouble for any of them, however limited time they have and I am always greeted with a cheery smile and hello from them all. This also applies to the people in the office, if we have to phone
for any reason they are very friendly and polite.

On the whole, I am very pleased with the competence of the carers. They are well trained and caring. I am much fitter than when they started in August 2019, and I appreciate their help. They always do what I ask. As I am partially sighted it is essential that they check that they have switched off all
the cooking appliances and also to know what goes into the recycling bin.

We have found the carers very supportive and caring.
Perhaps the only thing we find is that the carers don't always come at the right time.
We realise they may be held up at another client or stuck in traffic.

The service and support received for my husband has been excellent. The daily carers are fantastic and the support from the management in supporting the need for adaptations in the home has been amazing. Churchfields has changed our lives. Thank you.

I appreciate it is impossible for the schedule to be 100% adhered to and also to have some consistency in times and carers scheduled eg in 15 days, 4 different times and carers for morning calls. That's before any unscheduled changes.
Also, when a carer has been asked to be removed from my schedule
they appeared again and again. At a time when not aware of a change or time to complain.

A morning visit is most important for Mum. She needs food even if she says no. Same with showering.
Thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to fill in a review card. You're feedback and recommendations are noted and taken on board but can we remind you that the care staff can only encourage Mum with regards to food. We have spoken to the girls and suggested that if Mum is saying she doesn't wish to eat at the call they will prepare something that can be left for later.

This is our first experience of using home care so we were both a bit concerned at the start. The review assessment prior to care was handled with respect and compassion. Caring has since gone very well. My husband enjoys the company of his carers and I am able to leave him with confidence that his
needs will be well met. Our home is treated with the utmost respect and carers are always keen to do housework tasks for me.

Most of the carers are polite, pleasant and helpful. It's a pleasure to have them in our home. The greatest inconvenience is when the carers don't come at the time indicated on the rota. They always tell us their reason i.e. delays with clients or staff absence through sickness.

On the whole very good, however, occasionally will give extra calls to the carer due to call on me thus delaying my call, not very pleasant. As most of my calls are required primarily for toilet needs as well as meals, on these occasions there is not warning of a possible delay.

Staff are very friendly and caring. They do their best to assist and help to care for my mother. But she is a proud woman and will not let them do much to help her (very stubborn). Some carers handle her better than others, overall I am quite happy with the care she is getting from Churchfields Home
Care Ltd.

Basically, the service is excellent. The only problem is with staff reporting sick at weekends and school holidays, when the timing of arrival goes haywire.

Churchfields have recently taken over my care from another company - the difference is amazing. Great carers as before but the management is so good - great communication. They send me a rota, answer the phone when the office is called. Especially allowing my son online access to the care management
programme to see who is coming every day in 'real time'. Many thanks Churchfields.
