If carers are very late or calls cancelled no notification from office! Otherwise, service good.

Mostly it is good but it would be good if they could check the dates on the food in the fridge and if about to go out of date and can be frozen put it into freezer.
I would be intrigued to know a week's worth of visits as not sure they are spending the time allocated to my Dad on some visits.

We have only used this service since last November, the carers who come to assist my husband appear very good at their work. They have certainly helped him mentally after his recent hospital stays. He looks forward to the days they visit.

Very happy with the service provided and the ability to fit in extra jobs if time permits. Unfortunately, a cancellation wasn't recorded and the carer turned up.

From the start of my wife's bed care, I found the carers to be professional, thoughtful and empathetic, always mindful of my wife's condition and wishes. They are very good communicators, working well as a team, helping to keep any discomfort, eg through necessary rolling, to a minimum. They are polite,
courteous and caring. There were three visits a day and they never failed to visit.

General opinion expressed is when leaving my wife as a day care visitor, that she is always made welcome and taken onto the residential area where she is integrated with the residents. Of which she is family with one or two people.

Although we find the overall service satisfactory, our main concern is no 24-hour on-call service. Whilst working for the ambulance service, we tried to contact your agency by the phone number printed in your care plans, to find it wasn't manned.

Reply from Jeni Cawkill, Registered Manager at Manorcourt Homecare (Thetford)

Thank you for your review and the time taken to respond. To answer your question in regards to on-call service. We currently offer an on-call service from 6 am-9 am and 5 pm- 11 pm. Due to our on-call being manned by internal staff, outside of this, clients are advised to contact night owls. This is explained to all clients on their assessment visits. Thank you again for your review.

My father-in-law received care from June 2022 until November 2022. He was shown kindness and excellent care. The carers also showed great respect to my mother-in-law and family, at all times. Sadly he passed away this weekend, but I have written this because this last week has been very difficult, to
say the least. But the carers have shown their utmost respect at every call leading up to his passing. They have shown so much compassion to him and his wife that they need to be recognised for this, especially three members in particular. Also, the coordinators have always been willing to help in any way they can. We all understand they are understaffed and under so much pressure. But these people need to get recognised for what they do, without these people you wouldn't have such a great team.

Reply from Jeni Cawkill, Registered Manager at Manorcourt Homecare (Thetford)

Thank you so much for taking the time to complete this review, particularly with the recent experience and trauma your family have been under. Please accept my condolences to yourself and your family. I agree that the care staff and coordinators work under pressure. We work hard to ensure that they are recognised for the work they do. I will pass on your thanks and will ensure that they are recognised from myself and MCC for their hard work. Thank you again for your kind words.

Overall care is excellent.
Sadly the care company are very short-staffed, which means some visits are early and some are late. Hopefully, with ongoing recruitment, this will improve.
All staff are polite, caring and very positive - well done!

We have experienced numerous issues;
- Carers turning up almost an hour early
- Missing the carers because they've turned up almost an hour early (we are always here 45 minutes before call) and the solution was tea time call being an hour earlier.
- I kept receiving different carers who don't know
me or my needs.
- My times constantly being changed.
Things do seem to be ok at the moment.

Reply from Jeni Cawkill, Registered Manager at Manorcourt Homecare (Thetford)

Thank you for your review and for the time you have taken to discuss your comments on the phone today. It is always helpful to receive constructive feedback to allow us to move forwards in improving the quality of care we provide. I have communicated this to the office and you will let me know if this needs further work. Thank you again for the feedback and time today.

My experience with my carers has been very good. They are always cheerful and helpful. I am always asked what I could like help with. I have had to change a few appointment times due to doctor visits and the office staff have been extremely accommodating and helpful.
I am never made to feel a burden
and am treated with the utmost respect. After showering my bathroom is left clean, safe and tidy and all used sanitary products are disposed of correctly.
