For the past 2 years, I have had a lot of support from this agency with respect to caring for my mother. I have found staff easy to work with and if I have any concerns they have been dealt with in a friendly and professional way. The carers always look smart and treat my mother well, giving her the

Karen joined the team in 2012 as a carer. She was then offered the position of coordinator. After 8 years in this position, she was offered the deputy manager's position. Karen really enjoys her job role and finds every day is a new challenge, and it's now our current Branch Manager.

The favourite part of your working day is seeing and meeting new clients and visiting current clients.
The biggest professional challenge in her career to date was taking part in a hairdressing competition.

Karen decided to work at Manorcourt Homecare because she wanted a new career and was interested in care.
Prior to joining Manorcourt Homecare Karen worked at home as a full-time mother.
To be good in her role Karen believes you need to be observant, willing to learn, able to work as part of a team, a good listener and helpful.
The favourite part of her working day is resolving any issues that may arise.
The biggest professional challenge in her career so far was taking the role of medication officer from being a carer, which is also her biggest career highlight to date.
Outside of work Karen enjoys spending time with her family and playing golf.
