We only used Bluebird for a short period of time but they provided a service which was all that we could have asked for. My 95-year-old Mother was very impressed. "Well done".

I didn't know what to expect from carers. I was genuinely thrilled with every carer. I was treated with dignity and respect. I told the girls there was no modesty, which did not come into it. They were all lovely. I wish them all the best of luck and keep doing a grand job.

Bluebird has provided care for my mother for the last year or so. My mother has dementia and lived on her own in a sheltered housing flat. Whilst family members did not meet all the staff working with her, those that we did meet were polite and friendly. The fact that there was only limited consistency
in who she saw we found a disadvantage as, with her memory problems, she did not always know who was there. We found it sometimes difficult to contact the organisation as we did not have a named link person and replies were not always immediate. The limited time that the carers visited (whilst arranged with us) meant that there was no chance for them to use their initiative, relying solely on a list of tasks provided by their office. We were concerned that once when the carer arrived and found that our mother was unwell and had vomited, despite the fact that she cleaned her up, put her to bed and called the doctor, she did not clear up the vomit or stay until the doctor came.

The care provided to my mother is first-rate.
She is very happy with all aspects of the care provided, it has improved her life greatly.
Not only are the carers well trained and always well presented in a uniform but the management staff are also helpful and friendly.
They are the best thing to happen
in mum's life for a long time.

My father is now too frail to go on holiday bet he enjoys coming to visit me in Exmouth. This is only possible because of the wonderful care he is given by the staff at Bluebird Care. What impressed me the most is that the carers see beyond an old man who these days can do less and less for himself
to the man he once was. They chat away at him, ask him about his life and actually listen to what he has to say. All in all, they have become a hugely important part of his holiday.

After initially having the suggestion of help around the home I was slightly anxious. After meeting the manager and the various different helpers, I am now completely at ease and understand that they are all lovely, warm and helpful people who will always go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure

My wife and I are both disabled and benefit from the care we receive. Careworkers and office staff have been very good at adapting the care given to match our changing disability requirements. Overall it is a very satisfactory package.

The carers of Bluebird Care visit my elderly neighbour every day and since having them, she is almost a different person doing so much more for herself. I cannot thank them enough for helping her regain her independence.

I always look forward to my care assistants visits, without whom I wouldn't get a hot meal or shopping. They help me enormously and I couldn't exist without them. The girls have helped to organise my flat, enabling it to be used more efficiently and look sparkling. Plans may be ahead for a car trip
and the girls have kindly offered me encouragement and to take me out. We always have a laugh and they cheer me up!

After many negative experiences with other care agencies, it was such a relief to find my Dad carers through Bluebird. Unlike the other agencies, they tailor his visits to the times that suit him, and always put his needs and wishes first. All the carers are so kind, and he enjoys chatting to them and
even singing with them! The Bluebird carers have been especially good at recognising developing health problems and contacting Dad's GP or District Nurses as appropriate. Knowing he is being so well cared for has brought the family such peace of mind. I especially appreciate the excellent communication on the part of the Bluebird office, as I'm kept abreast of what's happening with Dad between my visits. I would not hesitate to recommend Bluebird to anyone in need of care services.

All the staff at Bluebird Honiton, the careers, supervisors and administration staff have provided Mum with exceptional care. They are always willing and indeed offer to do that bit extra to make her life with Dementia the best it can be. They started with taking her shopping when she could no longer
drive and now provide full personal care. They are a wealth of information to someone like me who does not have a background in care and provide great peace of mind. They have the answers to everyday problems and have stepped into to sort out pickles that Mum has got herself into, which is very reassuring as I live a three hour drive away. I could not recommend them more highly and they have become like an extended family to both Mum and myself. I have a great deal of admiration for the work they do and greatly value their support. A huge thank you to all.

William Flint

Job Title: Director

William is a former NHS and Social Care Manager. He has extensive experience of managing and delivering high quality health services to the public. Locally, he was responsible for the joint delivery of Health and Social Care services for Adults in Exeter, Sidmouth, Seaton and Axminster. William has achieved a Masters Degree in Health Care Management (University of Birmingham), gained whilst on the highly competitive NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme.


William is driven by a desire to provide responsive high quality care services. He is particularly keen to provide individualised services that enrich the lives of those receiving them.


Sara

Sara Flint

Job Title: Director

Joined: 2011

Sara is a Business graduate (Loughborough). Her working career started in Business Management for British Airways (she was fortunate enough to fly Concorde to New York!!). Locally Sara has worked for NHS Devon and the local Stroke Network, based at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. She also managed the South West NHS Neonatal Networks which covered the Neonatal units from Gloucester to Lands End. Sara has always had a passion for the standards of care delivered to older people.


For a number of her adult years, Sara was a care worker supporting older people and so has "hands on" experience of care. Given her experience as a care worker, she has uncompromising standards in the area of customer care. Sara is an avid reader and loves walking, particularly on the "High Moors" with William and their dogs 'Poppy' and 'Ruby'.

Julia joined Bluebird Care from the South West Ambulance service, where she previously worked as an Emergency Medical Advisor for 6 years.


As Care Coordinator, Julie allocates all of our weekly work with a real focus on continuity for our Customers and Care Assistants, ensuring customers are regularly supported by a small and regular team of Care Assistants.
