    Waking Nights:

    Food Allowance:
    Carers are entitled to a £40 per week food allowance. This can be invoiced in addition to the above cost or paid directly to the carer.

Absolutely bad experience. Had a partner whom I looked after 24/7. Bluebird Care took control completely, albeit they only visited her two hours per day, then sent police to the house 4 times on the assumption of domestic abuse, then railroad her out of her comfortable home and into a care home in Taunton
where she is in tears and anxiety due to the interference of her personal life. She is now isolated from friends and family. She is now due to go to a nursing home whereby Bluebird Care will have no input, thank god.

Normally we encourage the reviewer to engage with us directly to resolve any issues. Unfortunately, in this instance this has led to harassment from the reviewer, which we have sadly had to report to the police.

All carers are very nice and very experienced. Look after my husband brilliantly. Took good care and made the experience really good. Would make sure this service is kept going. Cannot fault and they loved the cat.

Both my late aunt and I (her nephew) were very pleased with the service delivered by Bluebird Care. The carers were always kind and patient and tried very hard to encourage my aunt to eat and generally make the most of her situation. The carers were also backed up by helpful and knowledgeable staff
on the phone at the office.
I highly recommend this service for both respite and long-term care.

My mother has enjoyed the services from the Bluebird Care team for two and a half years to date. My mother is 96 years of age and still lives in her own home. Her wish is to live in her home with minimal assistance. Bluebird Care is panned according to individual requests and is very flexible. The care
team are excellent and without them, Mum would never cope. She is visited every morning to administer her medication, this visit is logged into the carer application which I can access. I live 60+ miles away so it is great to be able to check on Mum's condition daily. Nothing is too much trouble for the care team. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Since May of last year, my Father has had a live-in Carer through Bluebird Care. Right from the very start, I was impressed with the personal connection the Manager had with my Dad, his situation and his needs. He was matched with a male Carer who has been very thorough in the way he has managed the
cleaning of my Father's house, his medication needs, organizing appointments and navigating living alongside my stubborn Dad!! He has been really patient in helping him with his personal care and shopping/cooking needs as well as giving him lots of space to make him think he is still independent. Quite a skill.
He has been good at updating my sisters and me with how our Dad is and any problems that have occurred. Ongoing assessment has been done with care and efficiency and a real level of engagement and the Manager has gone the extra mile to build up trust with our Dad. Many many thanks and I would definitely recommend this Care Provider.

Bluebird Care has been providing full-time care for my 98-year-old mother for 4 months and I have nothing but praise for the company and Mum's carers.
The company are very efficient in their operations and it feels that there is a very hands-on approach from every level in the organisation.
They have
been very thorough in assessing Mum's care needs and these have been at the forefront of all the care that Mum has received, without fail.
Mum's full-time carer has not only helped with Mum's personal and home care but is also giving Mum a quality of life with regards to activities that Mum couldn't undertake on her own. The other carers that are provided when needed are also of a high standard and very friendly and professional.

We have used the service for six months now.
They go into a great deal of detail regarding the condition and needs of the person needing care and have very kindly supplied the same carer on a number of occasions, to give my wife continuity of care.
I have found the agency excellent in every way -
they are very thorough, reliable, responsive, helpful and friendly carers. Great agency, I cannot recommend Bluebird more highly.

My name is Ben Sellick and I am the Registered Manager for Bluebird Care in Taunton and Mid Devon.


At the age of 19 with the encouragement of my late Mum, I joined a local care home as a Care Assistant. I have worked in a variety of roles within care over the last 18 years.


In 2014 I joined Bluebird Care - Taunton & Mid Devon, and it gave me a new lease of life in my care career.
I have spent over half my time with Bluebird Care as a Manager and have had the privilege to support and upskill my team to share the same passions and values.


In my spare time, I am a children’s entertainer and joined the West Somerset Magic Society.


I have found real meaning in being able to link my skills and experiences across all age groups.


I take great pride in representing Bluebird Care- Taunton & Mid Devon. It has been a huge pleasure for the last 10 years and hope it is many more to come.

Before working for Bluebird Care, I was new to care, although having worked with clinical exercise populations in previous workplaces I had experience with Reablement. I started with Bluebird Care as a replacement assistant and found I had a passion for the work I was carrying out.


Supporting patients who had been discharged from the hospital, and seeing their progress as a direct result of the team's input made me feel part of a vital service improving people’s quality of life. From my role as a Reablement Assistant, I progressed to a team leader role, from the Discharge to an assessment manager role then to the Business Development Manager role. Although my role has changed, at the core of all the work I do remains a passion for making a difference in people’s quality of life which is what motivates me day-to-day
