Carers are prompt, polite and friendly. They have been extremely kind and patient with our parents, who are finding it difficult to adjust to accepting help (even when they really need it!). Concerns and changes requested have been promptly dealt with by the care manager.

The support provided by Home Instead to my elderly aunt; has been excellent. The carers have a good understanding of my aunt's needs, are able to empathise fully with her and on one occasion came to her rescue immediately when an emergency arose.

From the first, the service has been good, friendly and enjoyable. The cooking, cleaning and organising have been of high standard. The carers all have characteristics of their own and it has been a pleasure.

All the carers are extremely polite and efficient. Keep Mum very clean and well cared for, nothing is too much trouble.
Keep Mum's bungalow very tidy.
The family are very pleased with all aspecfts of care.

My mother, 87, was becoming lonely and isolated. The companionship she receives from her Home Instead visitor is a real lifeline. She loves her visits I think they talk non-stop for two hours and if she feels well enough they go for a walk or to pick up some shopping. The office support is efficient
and makes the whole process painless.

Morning assistance for my husband from bed to wash and dress and sometimes to provide breakfast allows me space to have my own breakfast in peace and to prepare for the day ahead.


When I have taken a short break overnight, breakfast, lunch and evening meal calls have worked well in coordination with

visits from my husband's 2 daughters.

I am very happy with how things have worked out with regard to my mother's care. She was not overkeen on accepting help but it has all gone well.


My recent need for a substantial increase in visits has been promptly dealt with and sorted out quickly.

Excellent service. Nothing is too much trouble for the carers who visit my father-in-law. Any worries the carers have are quickly and efficiently relayed through the main office to family members and vice versa, if the family wants to implement a change, this is readily accepted. I now feel happier
that my father-in-law is in good hands, relieving the stress and worry I endured before enlisting the services of Home Instead Darlington.

My overall experience of using the service provided has been exceedingly good. The office staff and supervisor has been attentive and carried out adequate visits and reviews. The work is of a high standard and meets our needs at the moment. We have discovered possible extension for the future and pleased

Home Instead Carers provided much needed respite for family when mum's care levels increased at the sad time of end of life period. Her Carers stepped up to the mark and delivered a service second to none, for which the family are eternally grateful.
Professional and well trained, the confidence shines
through and the staff are a credit to the company. I can't recommend them highly enough, including the office staff who did their utmost to ensure we had the support we needed. Thank you.

I was recommended to this agency by my sister who also uses it in another location and who was very pleased indeed with it.
I have found both management and staff to be very pleasant and helpful in all ways.
I look forward to seeing my helper once a fortnight who works very efficiently and with a
very pleasing manner.

The consistency of carer is one of the many positives about my mum's service. Her carer is kind, tolerant and happy to follow mums wishes as to what is done on a daily basis.
The management are helpful and there are additional greatly appreciated gestures e.g Easter Egg given at Easter and flowers
for a special birthday. I am always consulted about additional bank holiday fees as I am the bill payer and main carer.

I have always worked with children and families and have enjoyed making sure that they receive good quality care. However, when my mother-in-law needed support to stay in her own home; we struggled to find the appropriate care. At that time I was considering moving away from early years and was looking at other options that allowed me to utilise the skills, experience and qualifications I had worked hard to build. The ethos of Home Instead is one I can truly relate to and I am very proud to be able to offer local residents the opportunity to maintain their independence and stay in their own homes with dignity and respect.


As Director, my role is to build relationships with local providers and organisations, look at opportunities for Home Instead to contribute to the local community and to manage the business side of the operation.
