Home Instead has been looking after my mother for the past 12 months. The standard of care has exceeded my expectations, the carers provide cheerful friendly companionship as well as taking care of all her practical needs. The staff are helpful, flexible and quick to respond to additional requirements
- excellent and thoughtful care all round.

I have often had to call on Home Instead to cover at short noticed for my clients at different times and hours. They have always responded quickly, and have bent over backwards to assist in any difficulties we have had.
All staff without exception are professional, courteous, and willing to assist
in any way to help my clients. I would happily recommend Home Instead and their manager to anyone and believe this standard is what every care agency should be working to.

Home Instead is good name for the agency and the carers are very good. I know what I want from the carers and they always deliver. At 92 I have improved with my walking, mobility and general well being. All run very satisfactorily.

A friend, a neighbour of client has alerted me to the fact that he was not coping.
Home Instead has put all their resources into action.

The client has had a degree of mobility at the beginning so the care was catered around his needs and still social life which existed at the time.
Carers were

chosen carefully and it was made sure that he and his family, who visited, but who did not live with him were comfortable and happy.
His needs steadily increased and care was adapted. When in hospital, - carers visited and made sure that the client didn't feel isolated and alone.

Home Instead helped with rearranging his house when he stopped being mobile.
Carers were very impressive. Standard of care was very high. Most of all understanding of needs was in place.
At the end of April 2015 the gentleman passed away.

The home care team provided a professional understanding, responsive and above all caring service. My father was looked after by a wonderful team who ensured he was safe and comfortable at all times. We were always reassured that dad and us as a family were well cared for.

My mother, died in September of breast cancer which had spread to her bones. The carers from Home Instead looked after her for about the last six weeks of her life. They were amazing, treating her with love and dignity. She was very fragile, and frightened of moving having had a bone snap due to cancer.
They treated her with such care, always listening to her fears and wishes, taking the time to make her feel secure. They also coordinated brilliantly with the district nurse who came to administer my mother; were always flexible in their timings if it was necessary to be present with a doctor or nurse, as moving my mother needed two carers. They were also a great support to me and my family. Two of them wee with my at my mother's side when she died. It was as far as it possible to be, a good death; and the team from Home Instead helped me make it so. I regularly tell friends and family how lucky we were and how well looked after. I would always recommend them and feel very lucky to live so close to an agency which is so good.

Three months ago I got a call from my elderly neighbour who told me she had had a fall in her bedroom and needed help as she was stuck and couldn't get up. Fortunately I was able to get details of her carer and rang up the supervisor straight away. Within minutes had managed to contact my friends favourite
carer, who as luck would have it, was working close by, so appeared on the scene very quickly. My neighbor was very pleased to see the carer who put her at ease. Her manner was charming and extremely efficient. She called for an ambulance and again the paramedics arrived very quickly and gave her a thorough check up. Fortunately no bones broken, just badly shaken. I was very impressed by the way that the carer and her supervisor handled the whole situation and would not hesitate in recommending their services.

My friend has a daily visit for lunch. The carer is always friendly, caring, professional and spends time talking to my friend as well as cooking an appetizing and wholesome meal. The daily visit has made a difference to her physical and mental well being. Carers are punctual and reliable.

My mum was reluctant to have anyone come at all but she liked the lady straight away and was happy for her to come a few times a week. On a couple of occasions someone else was sent but she was able to say she didn't want that person. I wanted my mum to feel she was not being short changed by her daughter
(me) not being there. She did feel cared for by her carer.

After working for 10 years as a critical care nurse, I realised first hand the impact of genuine connection and care on the outcome for patients. Recognising a lack of person-centred care for the elderly, I started my business to empower families and elderly people to ensure access to quality care that makes all the difference.

Providing caring support to the Elderly in their homes we provide:
- Peace of mind to families that their loved ones are safe, well cared for and personally connected with their carers
- Promote independence in line with the client's abilities e.g. outings, self-care, supporting continuation of prized hobbies
- Prevention of issues - identifying potential health risks & ensuring mental stimulation
- Signposting to local services e.g. Solicitors, Alzheimer's Society, Bring Joy Foundation, Parkinson's Society
- Carers with specialised skills to deal with end of life and conditions such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's

Outside of work, I spend my time with my daughter who constantly surprises me with the imaginative and creative activities that she draws me in to.

Domizia came to Home Instead in 2013. She trained as a nurse in Italy, travelled the world and then chose to settle in London.

She is a bubbly person with a great sense of humour. Her personality wins her both clients and carers.

Although she shares her time between the office and our clients she would be best described as a true carer.

Ann Marie has a wealth of experience in the care sector having worked in various health and social care settings.

Prior to joining Home Instead Hammersmith, Fulham and Chiswick, Ann Marie worked for Home instead Wandsworth for five years. She also worked for Bromley Social Services for seven years setting up a brain injuries programme to help people who had sustained an injury to be rehabilitated back into normal everyday life.

After being diagnosed with cancer and undergoing an operation to fit a prosthesis in her shoulder, Ann Marie became more passionate than ever about improving care standards and making a difference to those she works with.

She commented: “I have always been passionate about making a positive impact in the care industry, but my life experience allowed me to have real empathy with many of my clients. I think it helps them a lot to be able to talk to someone who has needed care themselves!”

Outside of work, Ann Marie has three grown-up children. In her spare time, she loves gardening, socialising and eating out.

Iwona came to Home Instead Hammersmith, Fulham and Chiswick having realised that Senior Care was one of the most important and valuable sectors of industry. She considers it a privilege to be part of the team who are so dedicated to caring for the older generation.

Her experience is considerable. Although her formal education, and indeed occupation was in Arts, film and theatre she joined National Advertising Benevolent Society, where she worked for a number for years.

The most rewarding and enjoyable part of her former job with the Society was the interaction with beneficiaries, many of whom were elderly.

She decided that it is the road for her.

She never looked back!
