I would like to thank you for your review of our services. As always when people take the time to visit homecare.co.uk and provide a review I am grateful. Home care is a complex, difficult and sometimes emotional business to manage and we try very hard to meet the customer's needs. I am delighted by the ratings we have received, as a small business it means a lot to all of us.

I really appreciate this positive review and accept it as feedback on behalf of all our care and office staff as evidence of their efforts and hard work to support both our clients and their families. Care at home is not an easy business but when people give us positive comments and ratings like this it makes it worthwhile, thank you.

We are extremely grateful for this very high-scoring review from a long-standing customer. We are pleased to have achieved five stars in all the categories. Anyone in the care sector knows how hard the work is and how difficult it is to get things right in what are often difficult situations.
We have worked tirelessly with this customer and their family to deliver a good service and are very appreciative of their review.

We are greatly appreciative of this lady's comments about her mother's care. This is a client whose care needs were small for a long time but grew rapidly in a short space of time. Our registered manager helps with some of the calls and knows all the family well and at times, we have tried to go "above and beyond" to help. The customer concerned has various healthcare professionals to her house and we have spent much office time helping these people. Our service is not always just the "care call" we can do a lot of office work behind the scenes which is not charged for. We also modify our service when the family go on holiday to reflect extra duties.

We are grateful to this very longstanding customer for his kind and positive comments about our company, carers and service. We had the pleasure of helping the gentleman's late wife for several years and supported her when she required end-of-life care. Since his wife's passing around twelve months ago we have continued to help with various household duties numerous times a week. He regularly phones the office and the owner of Independent Living enjoys a chat.
We do note the slightly lower "value for money" score than we would like. All I can say on this is we do stay the full care time without taking out travel time and, with costs like the national minimum wage increasing together with utility bills, we have no option but to raise our customer prices if we are to provide a quality service.

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.641) out of 10 for Independent Living (Chorley, Leyland, Parbold and Standish) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.
The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 4.741 for Independent Living (Chorley, Leyland, Parbold and Standish) is calculated as follows: ( (41 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 54 Ratings = 4.741
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').
The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)
The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Independent Living (Chorley, Leyland, Parbold and Standish) is based on 9 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.9
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
