Right at Home has an amazing care team (rated Outstanding by the CQC in January 2022) of Home Care Assistants, Live in Care Assistants and a fabulous office team. They work hard to find the best people and, in order to hang on to them, need to make sure they are happy in their jobs.

The managing director asserts that gone are the days of care work being a dead end, minimum wage job. Carers are amazing people and Right at Home puts a lot of effort into finding the right people, with the emotional intelligence and empathy, to be able to become a great carer. They then receive the full support of Right at Home's management team to develop their careers if that is what they wish to do.

Right at Home has developed a framework to support the whole team in their efforts to be fantastic at what they do. This friendly, award-winning, local home care company has a great variety of people working in their team with one thing in common; they are all great at building relationships with others.

A very professional and compassionate standard of care. All carers had a very polite friendly manner. They made me feel totally at ease from day one and there was never any worries regarding confidentiality and safety on entering our home. They made it possible for us to care for our mum at home with
dignity. They were truly wonderful.

I contacted several agencies when my mother was discharged from hospital last year. The response I received from Right at Home was exceptional, the office staff could not have been more helpful and the carers are excellent.

Right At Home have provided care and support services for mum over the past 6 months.
Carers are regular and reliable, unlike her former care provider when mum would dread who would turn up!
Carers really do care and consistently deliver excellent services.
Communication with the highly professional
office staff is superb. We are kept informed of any incidents/concerns as they arise.
We are so thankful that we "found" Right At Home and cannot thank the team enough for their exemplary services.
Without the Right At Home carers, mum could not stay in her own home which is her primary desire.

Mum has dementia and we feel she needs the stability of staying in her own home, with all the familiar things around her, which is what live-in care has enabled her to do.
We started with carers coming in on a daily basis. By September it was clear she needed 24-hour care. We cannot fault the carers,
carefully chosen by the Right at Home team. Each one, although very different, has taken time to get to know Mum and her ways. They have shown genuine care, friendship, respect and real affection for Mum, despite her dementia which can make that a little challenging at times. With gentle firmness when needed, they have given her the companionship and stimulation that she needs and overall have given us peace of mind, knowing someone is there. Each one has become part of our family. All have been very reliable, trustworthy and proactive in the ways they help mum to cope with day to day living. The office staff are always on hand should problems arise and take their responsibilities seriously.

I have always found the carers who looked after my mum to be professional, caring and empathetic which in my view are the most important qualities in a carer. I have also found the organisation very willing to accommodate changes in care and to provide care at short notice when they can. Very pleased
with the care that has been provided by Right at Home over the last few years.

My brother was suffering from early onset dementia and type 1 diabetes and I needed to put in place extra care for him particularly for when I was away. My brother was not the easiest to accommodate being fiercely independent. Because of his illness, he was resistant to accepting any form of help
except mine. Homecare went out of their way to set up a plan to get to know him, and help to build his confidence in them, by making frequent short visits and occasionally ringing him to check everything was fine. After each meeting, they reported back to me. I felt that they were on the one hand very efficient and detailed in their paperwork and on the other hand fully empathic, patient and genuinely very caring, tailoring their care very specifically to the needs of my brother. They were also extremely flexible and accommodating, and able to adjust to change quickly. I had total confidence in the Epsom branch and have no hesitation in recommending them very highly.

The ladies who looked after my late uncle did a good professional job. Those that he saw more frequently he came to recognise and enjoyed their company. Their supervisor was particularly efficient and responsive to my uncle's changing care needs.

On researching this agency, I found their information very clear and the person on the phone very understanding and helpful.
The carers took great care of my dad even though his dementia could make things difficult for them. The carers were always cheerful.
When the staff came to do an assessment
to form the care plan I found it easy to talk to them and the visit was not intrusive.

Right at Home took time to get to know mum so that they could appoint the right carers for her. The ladies who look after our mum are lovely - they are so caring and go out of their way to accommodate her needs. As Right at Home ensures consistency of care, the carers have been able to build a relationship
with both mum and dad. We would thoroughly recommend them.

Start date of service 24/5/16. In the first year of the service, it was a bit wobbly at the start with the timing of visits not properly set up but soon amended & with the care givers, first 2 visits not set until the 3rd visit. After that, every went smoothly until my care giver left. Then had a few
after that. All were good & helpful. I am pleased so far with the service & if asked would more or less recommend it to people. If I was not satisfied, I would not be contributing to the cost & would have changed to another service. I hope the next year will be as good & progress with stability.

Right at Home have provided a professional service to my mother and have been reliable, caring, flexible and proactive in coming up with ideas to help her in her day to day life at home where she grapples with the challenge of a poor short term memory. My sister and I feel that we can trust Right at
Home in the day to day care and have lifted that burden from us. The carers are good communicators about any issues that arise and deal with my mother in a sensitive way.

The team at Right At Home Sutton and Epsom is responsive, flexible, dedicated and takes pride in their work. More importantly to our family is that in addition to these qualities, the Carers, at the sharp end, are trustworthy and passionate about their jobs. They show such devotion and love to my parents
and never fail to bring laughter to the house to brighten up the day. In the three years that Right at Home has provided the care, we have gone from care 1 hour a day to 24-hour care over the last 3 months. From a very special carer, who has been in place since 2014, to the most recent arrivals, they all bring their own special qualities to bear and work seamlessly as a team. It is a testament to the service they provide that we rely on them to enable my parents to remain in their own home. It would be unrealistic to say that there had never been any problems. But Right at Home have always taken their responsibilities seriously and all issues have been resolved amicably. Thank you.
