Since they have been going in, I can see a big difference in him, he is happier. He always has a smile on his face when he sees them walking down the drive. Something that is important to my dad is that they are punctual and they are. Nothing is too much trouble for the carers, they always treat him with respect never seem to rush him. The office staff are always helpful and keep me informed if they have any worries. I live a 3-hour drive away so need someone I can trust.

There is excellent communication between the Blue Ribbon organisation and family members, as well as within the team. Information is shared reliably. Response to requests for changes in the programme is good. There is effective contact with members of the family to raise any issues which occur. Periodic meetings to assess my mother's needs have always been possible with little or no notice.

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.758) out of 10 for Blue Ribbon Community Care (Tyne and Wear) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.
The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 4.958 for Blue Ribbon Community Care (Tyne and Wear) is calculated as follows: ( (46 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.958
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').
The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)
The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Blue Ribbon Community Care (Tyne and Wear) is based on 8 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.8
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Registered Manager
Joined: 2014
Hello, I’m, Leanne and I’m the Registered Manager of Blue Ribbon Community Care (Tyne & Wear). This means that it is my job to ensure that you receive outstanding care and support from us. We do this by spending time with you beforehand to discuss all your needs and wants and then devising a plan with you that will meet those needs. I’ve worked in social care my entire working life and I came to Blue Ribbon because I knew that their only objective was to deliver high-quality care all of the time. This has been shown in our many awards from Homecare.co.uk as well as our “Outstanding” rating from the CQC. I can’t imagine ever working anywhere else!
Job Title: Client Care Manager

Hello, I’m Devon and I’m the Client Care Manager. This means that I make sure that all the care workers know all about the needs of those people they support and that they are in the right place at the right time. This means that if you ever call Blue Ribbon to talk about care and support for a loved one, it’s probably going to be me who will come out to see you. I started at Blue Ribbon as a Care Worker and then got promoted to Team Leader and now Client Care Manager. I know each and every person who works here at Blue Ribbon (we’re not a big company, but we are very friendly and personal) and I know I would happily have anybody here look after me or any of my loved ones.
Job Title: Assistant Manager
Joined: 2014
Hello, I’m Rachel and I’m the Assistant Manager. This means that I look after the needs of the Care Workers and make sure that they have all the support, the information and tools necessary to deliver outstanding care to all those we support. I’m involved in recruitment, training and all things relating to ensuring the quality of our provision. I started at Blue Ribbon as a Care Worker, became a Team Leader and now I’m the Assistant Manager. One day I want to be a Registered Manager (like Leanne) and I know I’ll help Blue Ribbon build on it’s “Outstanding” reputation to achieve our vision of being “the most reputable care provider in the UK”.

Hello, I’m, Mark and I’m the Owner of Blue Ribbon Community Care (Tyne & Wear). Since opening on 2013 we've developed to the point we are the only Home Care provider in Sunderland or Washington rated as Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, something I’m incredibly proud of. Of course, this could only be achieved by having magnificent Colleagues working alongside me. All those who work in Blue Ribbon – Care Workers, Team Leaders and the Managers work with one aim in mind, and that is to give the best care and support possible to those who need it.
