Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.941 for Caremark Harrogate is calculated as follows: ( (16 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 17 Ratings = 4.941

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Caremark Harrogate is based on 3 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 = 4

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Director

I’m the franchise owner, here at Caremark Harrogate.

After university, I volunteered in a care home and loved it so much that I knew that care and support were where I belonged. Nearly thirty years later, I can definitely say it was the right decision. More recently, in July 2022, I had the opportunity to purchase Caremark Harrogate.

Since then, as a team, we have been focussing on developing the services we provide and building a strong business. I’m really proud to be able to create jobs for local people and to help them provide brilliant care and support services.

If I’m not working, I’m often in the garden or the kitchen – ideally cooking fresh veg grown in my garden.

Job Title: Care Manager

Being the Care Manager means that I’ve been approved by the Care Quality Commission and am responsible for ensuring the care we provide is of the highest standard.

When I left school, I went to college to become a social worker and began working in a retirement home to gain some experience and haven’t looked back since! I previously worked here and always retained a soft spot in my heart for Caremark. I returned as the Care Manager in October 2021, with the intention of leading the team to its full potential. I see a big part of my role as giving the customers and carers a voice and advocating on their behalf.

I grew up in Harrogate and have lived here for most of my life. I love to travel and always have my next holiday planned!

Job Title: Care Coordinator

As the Care Coordinator, I work in the office and keep our rosters up to date.

Before coming to Caremark, I worked in advertising. During the pandemic, I decided to make a career change and found Caremark by accident. I’m proud of the good relationships I have built with the people we support, their families and my co-workers. I get great job satisfaction knowing that what I do each day makes a difference in people’s lives. I love that every day in Caremark is different and brings a new challenge.

Outside work, I love walking the dogs, playing the piano and visiting my two grown-up daughters.

Job Title: Field Care Supervisor

I’m the Field Care Supervisor, my job is to visit people receiving care from Caremark and support the care team.

Growing up, my mum was and still is, a nurse. I saw the care she gave people and wanted to be able to do the same myself. My first job was working in a care home, helping out with the meals after finishing school for the day. I have worked in the health and social care ever since. Whilst working for the NHS, I heard lots of really good things about the recent developments in Caremark Harrogate and I decided to join the team in August 2022. As a supervisor, I aim to be a good role model for the team and I always try to be the kind of manager I would like to have.

When I’m not at work I’m usually running around after my four boys (yes, one of them is my husband!).
