Bluebird Care and their carers have looked after me beautifully. I would like to compliment my regular morning carer by name but I won't! She, and all the ladies who have looked after me, is kind, friendly and helpful. Full marks! My only tiny quibble is the length of time it took to activate the debit
card. But all in all, I'd recommend Bluebird Care to anybody.

Brilliant company, the care and compassion that is shown to my uncle is amazing. Everything is taken care of from hospital appointments to taking him shopping for clothes. I cannot recommend this company enough. As I live quite for away from my uncle, it's so reassuring to know that his needs are met
every day, he's always showered, fed and warm, he is a happy man. Every carer is on point.

Wheelchair-bound after a stroke, I started using Bluebird Care services recently, 9 hours a day every day. I was assigned a team of three carers who will now come in turn on the same day every week. I will therefore be able ot plan my activities ahead of time.
They are all pleasant and professional.
I ask them to take me out to the nearby park every day, twice a day, rain or shine, and they do it happily. I am quite fussy about my food. They all follow my instructions to prepare my meals the way I like.

Right from the very beginning, a very positive experience. Telephone calls and meetings set up very promptly. Most impressed by the professionalism, training, friendliness and level of support from the staff.

I am the guardian of one of your clients who lives in sheltered accommodation in the Westminster area. I live in the South West and, due to being remote from the person I am a guardian for, find the services of Bluebird Care critical for the safe management of her care. We have always found the care
provided very good and your Care Managers are always extremely responsive to any queries or difficulties that may inevitably arise.


The client has recently had an unfortunate accommodation issue that resulted in significant disruption and distress. The care team at Bluebird Care stepped in and definitely went the extra mile to bring the situation under control quickly and efficiently; so minimising the impact and distress for the client. The care, dedication and professionalism of the carers and managers who dealt with the situation was second to none and has been hugely appreciated.

My mother's carer has become part of our family. We enjoy time together eating meals and doing other lovely things together. My mother is very happy being cared for in her own home so that we can continue to enjoy each other's company in a familiar environment. My mother's carer does so much: changing
bedsheets, preparing meals, suggesting ideas for entertainment such as watching videos or going for a walk. Her cooking is excellent. She has a great sense of humour - much needed in many situations! We are thrilled with her, as a family.

I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the amazing service our care staff delivered to my late husband during my family's most difficult time of need. The manager personally provided an incredible service supporting my husband throughout his difficult journey with Vascular Dementia from
the beginning stages of the disease all the way to my husband's last few weeks at home receiving palliative care, he would literally always go out of his way to make sure we had the best staff, equipment and community professionals available on hand in between each stage according to his condition. With great charm and imaginative sympathy during his regular visits, he would give our family such a positive light in our darkest moments. I will be forever grateful and recommend his services to anyone who needs this type of support in their own home!

We have two carers morning and evening from Bluebird Care. They get my wife up using a sling and hoist and transfer her to the living room, where she has a special lift up chair. They wash and dress her and get her breakfast and any other minor needs. The carers are very professional. They treat my
wife extremely well and with care. They interact very positively with her and create a happy and relaxed experience for her. Over time her regular carers have become trusted friends, who do more than just help her with her disability.

We have been delighted with the quality and care Bluebird provided to our elderly relative who has vascular dementia but remained very independent. Bluebird was able to try different carers and timings to find which combination worked best. We lived some distance away and it was good to see the senior
management being hands-on and keeping us informed. It was marvellous that they were able to find a carer who obtained our relative’s trust so that they went to the laundrette together, took a bus to a large supermarket for shopping, picking up the laundry on the way back. Unfortunately, after another emergency hospital admittance (accompanied by her main carer) the care package had to end when the relative needed 24-hour care and the flat was not suitable. We would not hesitate to recommend the office.

We had the good fortune of getting help from Bluebird Westminster immediately after my husband had his hip replacement surgery. And we had the greater fortune in our first port of call being the care manager. She has an abundance of all the qualities one wishes for in a human being in care management:
calm, kindness, understanding, compassion, empathy and an ability to explain challenges without sounding panicked. She truly is an oasis of calm and a far superior care manager than anyone I had to deal with later. Of course, we know we are dealing with a business when we come to you. But she makes it seem that providing quality care is as (if not more) important as making money. A later branch basically said it’s not worth their while to help those who can’t commit to long term care whether or not it’s needed! Their rigid motto (as it sounded!) was: if you can’t commit to pay for what you may not need, don’t expect help let alone respect! 5 stars below is for Westminster.

Peter’s first experience of arranging care was fraught and riddled with anxiety. “Finding care at short notice and trying to work with companies with no customer service ethos was frustrating. That’s when I thought there must be a better way!” Fast forward to 2023 and with over a decade of industry experience, Peter owns and oversees triple CQC Outstanding Bluebird Care Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea.


After university he worked for an NGO in New Delhi, using his law degree to change government policy and improve lives. This passion for transformative change permeates his operation of Bluebird Care Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea. “We are changing lives for the better, providing local residents with the opportunity to create their very best in-home support structure, delivered by Bluebirds. Requiring care and support can make one feel quite vulnerable. Nicola started her career in care over 10 years ago as a care assistant and a volunteer having looked after her grandparents. This experience helped him realise her passion for caring for others and making a real difference in people's lives.


Nicola joined us in 2011 and has worked for us as a Care Assistant, Coordinator, Supervisor, Deputy Care Manager, Operations Manager and Registered Manager. In that time she has gained considerable experience in the key functions within Bluebird Care and recently gained her NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care.

Julian Farnum

Job Title: Company Trainer

Joined: 2022

Julian Farnum joined Bluebird Care Kensington & Chelsea in 2014. He has been training in the healthcare field since 2011 as an associate and full-time trainer.


Julian trains our Care Assistants in a variety of disciplines including Moving and Handling, Medication, Health and Safety, Safeguarding, First Aid and other mandatory subjects. He also delivers specialist training in areas such as Dementia and Parkinson's.


His passion for teaching, combined with his keen awareness of person-centred care has enabled him to convey this knowledge to care assistants in a multi-disciplined, focused, involved and fun learning environment.
