Since being with Right at Home it has made a difference to my father and the whole family. The carers are very friendly and they are experienced in what they do. My father is a lot happier that he is getting the care and the times of the calls that suits him.

I have different carers who come to take me out for companionship. They are all kind, caring, fun and respectful. They generally arrive on time and are always smart and tidy and a similar age and interests to me which I like.

I have found all the carers to be lovely - they have time and patience with my mum and encourage her independence as much as possible. They always spend time to chat to her - although I'm aware that time is an issue. I have been unwell but due to going back to work and I am confidence that my mum will
be looked after.

Carers are all very kind and caring towards my father. If possible, I would request that the "team" he has now remain.
Previously, Dad had carers which he grew very fond of and then they were transferred to another area. I leave notes each day for the carers and these instructions are always carried
out. As a family, we are very pleased with the service.

Care has been exceptional.
Gentle, caring and attentive.
Very good standard of care.

Treat her like an individual - not just someone to wash.

Interact throughout the call - it's lovely to hear her laugh.

We need occasional care for our 92 year old Mum who has Alzheimer's. It is not on a regular basis, but Right at Home are always able to help, sometimes at short notice. They respond instantly to requests and queries and their service is professional, efficient and friendly. I would not hesiate in highly
recommending them.

The care my mother-in-law receives is exceptional. All the carers are great and treat my mother-in-law with dignity and respect. They go out of their way to make my mother-in-law relaxed and happy, and they are all a great help to me by giving me and my family time to ourselves.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.924 for Right at Home (Cardiff & Newport) is calculated as follows: ( (114 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 119 Ratings = 4.924

Joe

Joe Guishard

Job Title: Managing Director

Hello, I am Joe Guishard – the owner of Right at Home Cardiff and Newport. I am very proud of being the first Right at Home provider of care to the seniors in the Welsh Principality. I was born in Cardiff and have lived here all my life, so it gives me a feeling of great pride that I can now offer a service to the community that has helped look after me.

Prior to opening this company, I was a serving police officer for 6 years, wearing out shoe leather in Cardiff. On my “off duty” days, I spent many hours supporting my elderly grandparents in a multitude of areas. These include practical tasks such as gardening and cooking, but also engaging in long fascinating conversations with my grandma about the ‘good old days’.

I knew should they want care in their own homes, later on in life where family or loved ones were not able to help, then I would want them to have the quality of care that they deserve.

I came to realise that by opening Right at Home in Cardiff and Newport I would be able to offer this quality care, and also ensure that other seniors or vulnerable adults looking for similar quality services could rely on me and my company.

Hi, my name is Holly, I have worked in care for almost ten years, starting my care journey with Right At Home when I was in university studying Education. I began as a carer and progressed through the company, firstly as admin then co-ordinator, to Registered Manager.

I left for a short time after having my daughter, to work in another domiciliary care agency as their Networking Officer, before now returning to my roots with Right At Home.

I have two young children – a son and a daughter, so when I am not at work I am generally chasing them around, stopping the baby from dribbling on the toddler or stopping the toddler from throwing things at the baby. When I am not wrestling with the children, I prefer to spend my time outdoors, walking with my dog, relaxing in the garden with a book, or trying and failing to grow things in my allotment.

I working in the care industry because I want to make a difference! I enjoy meeting people and doing what I can to ensure they have the best day possible.

I am really excited to be back as part of the Right At Home team, and I am looking forward to catching up with those I have worked with previously and getting to know the staff I have not met yet.
