My Care at Home takes pride in delivering care to people in their own home to provide them with an enhanced quality of life and maintain comfort and independence. They are based in Stowmarket and cover all surrounding villages towards Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Diss, and have been in operation since 2013.

Classified as a 'Good' provider by the Care Quality Commission (October 2018), the privately run business works hard to employ people with a similar ethos of love, care and respect, and is proud of it's company values of Integrity, Compassion and Excellence.

My Care at Home offer visits during the day, a waking night service, and a fully-managed live-in care service. All members of staff are directly employed by My Care at Home, and follow a rigorous recruitment process and an in-house face-to-face training programme. Staff have regular supervisions and spot checks to ensure that the highest quality of care is delivered at all times.

My Care at Home was a finalist in the Wellbeing Award category of the Federation of Small Business Awards (March 2022) and finalists in Suffolk Care Awards 2024 for Small Business of the year award which is testament to the support that is given to all staff members.

The assistance I require is more on the helping side than caring for disability, but the carers are very good in their own different ways. I am pleased with all aspects of their work and found that they will do all that is asked of them. All the carers are very pleasant in some conversations and attitude.

Overall, we experience a very good service. All carers we have seen have been very capable, caring and friendly.
We receive a weekly rota, by email, which gives us times and carer's names and if altered we are informed of any changes.

The carers make it possible for my father to continue to live happily in his own home. They go beyond expectations; for example, when my father had a fall and I was away, a carer accompanied him to hospital in the ambulance and stayed with him until he was settled in, extending her hours to do so.

Overall very pleased. My mother can be quite strong minded so sometimes the carers accept what she says when she says she has eaten although this does not mean she has eaten. I do appreciate it is difficult to disregard the person's opinion.
My mother has Alzheimer's and is very thin so eating is imperative
but she can be intimidating to younger staff I think. Overall they are pleasant, kind and good company and a huge improvement on other agencies we have used so I would and do already recommend them.

My mother had complex needs, the agency were very efficient, flexible and as cooperative as they could have been. Great care and respect was shown to my mother as to us, in what turned out to be an end of life situation.

My care at home has been providing support and care to my mother for 2 years now. Overall I think the quality is very good but communication needs to be improved between the office and the next of kin. On 2 occasions now I have sent emails over items concerning my mother and received no response. I
had to phone them for an answer. My mum does find the carers to be very helpful, kind and considerate to my mothers needs.

Michelle Holman is our Registered Manager. She has over 20 years of experience in the care sector, working in both residential and home care. Michelle worked as our deputy manager for 6 years before becoming our Registered manager. She loves working in Home Care. Her standards are very high and she has an eye for detail and a drive for improving the quality of our service and maintaining our outstanding reputation that she has helped build over the years.

Julie has a real passion for care. She chose My Care at Home because of the care and compassion provided to her previous involvement with the company as her loved ones were previous clients. Julie's role as recruitment lead is to support new staff members in their role, providing support and high-standard training. She assists with recruitment and induction and supports all staff during the first 6 months of their employment. Julie with also be supporting the care manager to maintain the high standards of care that our staff deliver to our clients and our outstanding reputation.

Ros joined the team in 2020 as a Care Practitioner. Her enthusiasm and dedication to the role meant that she was soon supporting the office team with on-call responsibilities.


Ros now supports the office team with rota coordination and also spends time with our clients delivering care. This ensures a keen, current, understanding of client needs and preferences which are invaluable when allocating visits.
