My mother has had care from Home Instead (Redditch and Bromsgrove) for nearly 5 years on most weekdays. The quality of carers provided has been excellent. Their timekeeping is usually very good. I feel confident that my mother will be looked after very well by them.

Home Instead (Redditch and Bromsgrove) supported our dad who wanted to continue to live in his own home for as long as possible. Our experience was that the caregivers were named and consistent from the outset. Each one showed an interest in Dad as a person and made a point of chatting to him and treating
him as an individual. Updates were readily available which was a comfort to me as I live some distance away. My sister, who lives locally, found the team supportive and friendly and the entire team helped us through a period that could have been stressful and full of anxiety. We would have no hesitation in recommending their discreet and caring service.

Care provided for my father is carried out carefully, professionally and with compassion.
The staff are very friendly and work very hard to support dad but always find time to chat with him to make him feel secure.

My mum has dementia and was determined to be in her own home after my father died. A well-organised approach had carers starting within a week of me contacting Home Instead. Both my wife and I were impressed by the level of care given to Mum - she was often confused and everyone was very understanding
and patient with her. Every visit was carefully organised with full PPE procedures and the phone app with the care plan really was very useful. We were able to view each visit's report minutes after the carers left. Reports were very detailed and it was very reassuring to monitor progress remotely via our phone. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Home Instead to anyone. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It was such a pleasure to take care of your lovely Mum - we always aim to provide peace of mind to families of clients who do not always live nearby. We are delighted we were able to help her remain at home as long as possible.

I have been extremely pleased with the care provided to my mother, especially in such very difficult times for our key workers. Moms condition has improved since the teams regular contribution. They are very professional and caring in their approach and notify me of their concerns. Three members of
staff have been very supportive to myself and for that I am grateful.

Reply from Annie Dixon-Dunn, Director at Home Instead (Redditch and Bromsgrove)

Thank you for your kind comments. It's wonderful to hear your Mom has improved since receiving visits from Home Instead CAREGivers. We always aim to include appropriate family members in our updates to provide that added peace of mind!

Home Instead (Redditch and Bromsgrove) assist my mom with activities that she has difficulty with as she gets older. Importantly, at every visit they review her overall well-being and ensure her medication is taken. Knowing she is cared for and safe is extremely comforting as I live an hours drive away
and cannot visit every day. The liaison between Home Instead (Redditch and Bromsgrover) management and carers is excellent and dissemination of important information between myself and the NHS, such as Doctors, occupational health and physios has never been an issue. The service works seamlessly. Being able to view carer reports after each visit is invaluable. As is knowing that concerns arising during a visit would be hot-lined to me via their management team, ensuring timely decisions are made to keep my mom safe and healthy. Home Instead (Redditch and Bromsgrove) enable my mom to stay in the home she loves by providing an excellent service. They understand the balance of professionalism and friendship, which is key with this type of service.

The care givers from Home Instead (Redditch and Bromsgrove) enabled my mother who was living alone with dementia, to stay at home for an extra few months. They showed compassion, sensitivity and reliability at the same time as always behaving in a professional manner. Mum looked forward to their visits
and my sister and I felt reassured. The care supervisors were efficient and always responded to our enquiries and concerns in a timely manner. Many thanks.

My sister and I contacted Home Instead after my 90-year-old mother returned from a short stay in hospital. She is the full-time carer of my 90-year-old father, who is not as physically able and mentally competent as my mum. We hoped that the Home Instead visitor would keep our father company while our
mum took a break or some "me time", but my mum didn't do that! However, my parents like the person they see. She adapted swiftly to what they wanted (a cup of tea, and a chat twice a week). She has been allowed to do some ironing (!) and picked them up after their vaccinations at the hospital once.
The supervisor keeps in touch. When there was a problem with my parents' phone, we were alerted ASAP (we already knew but appreciated being told). My parents are moving house to live closer to my sister, and I am glad that we have had this positive experience with Home Instead. We will call on their services in the future, with the utmost confidence.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the caregivers from the Henley in Arden team, and office who are always quick to help in any way. The caregivers give so much support and care to both mum and dad who both have dementia, which is very hard, they always going the extra mile. Mum and dad’s caregivers
often bring a cake and even flowers which really brightens their day, and there is always comfort for mum as she worries about her dementia. Thank you so much.

We have had exceptional service from Home Instead over the past couple of years. The office is well organised, with professional and helpful staff and they go out of their way to accommodate any changes to requirements. The caregivers are without exception thoughtful, kind and proficient. My elderly
father has been able to maintain his dignity and independence because of their hard work.

My Mum has been receiving care from Home Instead for just over a month now and from the process of starting this journey has been simply outstanding, myself and my sister found it a challenge in starting this process as we had little knowledge and a lot of choices. Home Instead are professional, prompt
and really have gone the extra mile in making the service personal for our mum and supporting us with what they feel suitable. This being the one place we felt happy with from the get-go of the service they provide. Mum receives three sessions throughout the week and the carers have been simply amazing - they are kind, caring and really do support mum with her needs. My mum thoroughly enjoys their visits and very much looks forward to them coming again as she tells me what she has been doing. If you are looking for outstanding care, I wouldn't be going anywhere else.

We found the process of arrangement of care services for my wife to be very thorough, but more importantly, to be friendly and caring. Considerable thought was put in by Home Instead to the selection of carers to look after my wife. As well as their professionalism, the carers personalities help my
wife engage with the care, and she is always smiling at the end of a visit. The fact that my wife has seen the same three carers over the past five weeks is a big plus. Thanks.

My parents have been using Home Instead Redditch and Bromsgrove care agency for a number of years. They both receive twice-daily care calls.
They have regular caregivers who are so kind, caring, and professional. The caregivers have built wonderful relationships with my parents. Their care has definitely
enabled my parents to continue living together in their own home.
The caregivers are astute in picking up on any changes to my parents' health which has meant medical attention is sought as soon as possible.
The office staff is very helpful and responsive.
Communication with me is excellent.
I highly recommend Home Instead - the quality of their service and the peace of mind it gives is priceless.

My wife and I have been very pleased with the support we’ve received during the last seven months. Our carers now feel more like part of our family. They have provided me with excellent personal care and I have been treated with dignity at all times. We are fortunate in having a team of naturally very
considerate, thoughtful people who have attention to detail and are empathetic to our emotional needs too. They are cheerful and upbeat and we look forward to seeing them all. The team cover for each other if necessary, which means that we see the same people who are flexible and go the extra mile when necessary. They have been especially supportive during the last month whilst we have been in lockdown ensuring that we have all we need. Our only slight concern has been regarding communication but this appears to have improved recently. Our sincere thanks to our “super awesome” team.

I have used Home Instead for a number of years and have always had excellent service and help. The Carers have always been pleasant, competent, well trained and totally reliable. The office staff have always been most helpful in meeting changing needs, sometimes at short notice, and always keep me
informed of any changes in Carer. They seem to make an effort to provide people with whom I have common interests so that we get on well.

Commenced using carer support from mid-June and the quality of service and care has been of the highest order in every respect. The support staff and carer providers take great pride in their duties and are always most willing, reliable and helpful in all aspects of the care delivered at our home. It
has made a huge difference to the management of a very demanding situation we faced following a period in hospital and then dealing with the ongoing challenges presented by my wife's decline in general health and in particular, her mobility.
The carers have each shown excellent empathy with our situation and can be relied upon totally. They have readily displayed flexibility in the hours worked when required and always arrived with a smile and a readiness to help. The local office staff have also provided first-class support and a much-appreciated standard of communication when alterations to times of carer visits have been requested or related queries have been raised. Thank you, all!.

Using Home Instead Senior Care is a breath of fresh air. From the moment the carer arrives, the treatment, the way they handle their client, and always have an encouraging word. Nothing is too much trouble, even small jobs they do, make a difference. It is a pleasure to talk to them, they are kind,
courteous, and always have a smile at hand to cheer you up.

My role is to lead the team to maintain outstanding standards, and to ensure we are compliant with our regulating body, the Care Quality Commission. I oversee the smooth running of all aspects of the business, whether it is Care, People or Scheduling. My aim is to always be looking to the next level and how we can always improve the experiences of both our clients and Care Professionals.

I myself have been on quite the journey with Home Instead during my tenure here. I started my career as an administrator and CAREGiver, before progressing into the role of Care Coordinator from there I moved into a role on the people side of the business as a CAREGiver Support Officer, which involved improving staff engagement and from there Head of Engagement. In 2020 I moved back to the care team and took on Registration, I believe that my extensive experience throughout the business gives me an insight into the experiences of both our Care Professionals and clients alike.

Before Home Instead, I completed a music degree at Plymouth University where I focused on helping those with Dementia by using music. I did a lot of research into this and found the evidence of enhancing the quality of life outstanding. It was working with those suffering from the condition that really made me want to dive deeper into health and social care.

I believe in our values and can gladly say I am proud to work for Home Instead whether you are a Care Professionals or a client; everyone who touches our services deserves to receive the best support and care possible.
