Thank you for your feedback. I'm delighted to hear that we were able to support you as a family during this short, but challenging period. We do pride ourselves on the professionalism and skills of our carers and aim to match them with clients, based on their personalities as well as care needs.
As you've acknowledged, care is expensive however, your feedback does indicate that the service provided Home Instead is of an exceptionally high standard and we do provide good value for money.

I’m Munaf Patel, the Director of Home Instead in Calderdale and the Spen Valley. I have worked in the social care sector for over 30 years. Over this period, I have undertaken a range of roles and gained a wealth of experience, both as a frontline practitioner and in various management roles in local authority settings as well as voluntary sector organisations. I am delighted to be part of Home Instead, and use my extensive care background, coupled with my strong care ethics and values to ensure we deliver a Rolls Royce service to all of our clients.
Having spent my entire working life supporting vulnerable people, I am passionate about providing quality care and am pleased part of an organisation which places the clients at the heart of everything we do. My goal is to ensure our staff get to know our clients and that we set consistently high standards in the care and companionship we provide.
Outside of work, I am a family man, who has experience supporting my ageing mother, this has enabled me to better understand and appreciate the importance of matching the right Care Professional to each client, and ensuring our client's wishes are respected.
I’m realistic enough to recognise we won’t get it right all the time, but I am committed to ensuring we invite feedback and continue to learn and develop, as a team. For me, it is vital to have staff who share my values and embrace a learning culture.

Hi, I’m Anosha! I’ve been a Care Co-ordinator at Home Instead Calderdale since April 2022. I began my career as a Care Professional with Home Instead in 2017 and then moved into an office role as a Scheduling Coordinator in 2019 where I was responsible for devising client rotas, planning care appointments and making sure our clients receive consistent care from our team.
Having experience in delivering care has helped me to appreciate both the challenges and rewards of delivering care to our clients. For me, the most important aspect of the role is to listen to our client’s wishes and deliver care in a way, which empowers and enables our clients to maintain their independence and dignity. Without a shadow of a doubt, my favourite part of my role is meeting our lovely clients and matching them with our Care Professionals.
Day to day I work closely alongside our Registered Manager and the rest of the Care Management Team to oversee the delivery of our care services to our clients and ensure our Care Professionals are appropriately trained and supported to undertake their roles.
I am passionate about wanting to support people living independently in their own homes. I believe that it is important to understand the client’s needs, build a good relationship with them and devise a bespoke care plan to help them retain and even enhance their quality of life.
For me, the most important thing is to love the job you do.
Job Title: Marketing & Community Engagement Officer

I joined Home Instead in August 2020 as Calderdale’s first Marketing & Community Engagement Officer having previously worked in a marketing communications role in the early years sector, promoting and campaigning for higher standards in childcare.
My role involves raising awareness of the benefits of home care and engaging directly with older people in our community to communicate our values and the difference quality care from Home Instead can make to older people.
Having experienced at first hand the issues facing my own parents, my goal is to raise awareness of the impact on the mental and physical health of older people that comes from living alone or with a condition such as frailty, dementia or Parkinsons. I want to help change attitudes to care - so it is not seen as a last resort, but an integral part of our lives in the later years.
I engage directly with health professionals in Calderdale and deliver workshops to local groups on Scams and Ageing Well. I have also helped community social groups and memory cafes to increase visitor numbers and older people to find new social opportunities after the pandemic through publishing a bi-annual What’s On Where Guide.

My name is Carol and I am the Recruitment Co-ordinator at Home Instead Calderdale. This is my 8th year with Home Instead. Initially, I started as a Care Professional caring for our lovely clients and last summer I progressed into my current role.
My role involves the hiring of new Care Professionals and overseeing their training. Having had first-hand experience being a Care Professional has allowed me to recognise the qualities a great candidate requires for the role. I am passionate about finding the right staff at the right time and delivering our award-winning training to provide our staff with the tools and skills they need to deliver the highest possible standard of care to our clients. We are well known for matching our clients with like-minded Care Professionals and I always strive to provide the variety of staff necessary to ensure we provide the highest quality service with our clients and their families have come to depend on.
I would class myself as a people person and am always delighted to meet new people and speak to potential Care Professionals. I feel it is very important to enjoy what we do in life and communicate that enjoyment to others. An enthusiastic, friendly approach is always helpful and welcome.

My name is Rachel and I’m one of two Care Coordinators at Home Instead Calderdale.
I joined the team in early 2023, and I have received such a warm welcome from everyone at Home Instead and already feel like I’ve been here for years.
I have worked in the care sector for several years and I truly believe it is such a rewarding career. I started out as a Home Care Assistant and have gradually progressed to my current role, which involves working with clients to ensure all of their needs are met as well as supervising and supporting the Care Professionals and enabling them to develop their skills and training.
During my time in care, I have supported some wonderful people with differing needs and although it has been tough at times, it has been worth it as I love knowing that I am making a difference in peoples’ lives. I believe that having first-hand experience delivering care has enabled me to work closely with our Care Professionals as I understand the role and what it entails.
In my current role, I am one of the first points of contact for new clients, taking them from their initial consultation to the introduction with their Care Professional and completing regular reviews to ensure we are providing top-quality care. I love getting out into the community and meeting our clients, seeing the smiles on their faces when they talk about the care they receive. I am proud to be a part of Home Instead.

I'm Sarah, the Scheduling Co-ordinator and am responsible for doing the client and Care Professional Rotas’.
My Journey in the care profession began in 2020 when I started working in a care home. Shortly thereafter, I realised I wanted to support clients one on one within their own homes and went on to become a Care Professional in the community. An opportunity arose for Scheduling Co-ordinator within Home Instead Calderdale and I was instantly attracted as I admired their ethos and values.
I am proud to have worked my way up to the position I'm in now and am thoroughly enjoying the responsibilities associated with my role. In particular, I enjoy building positive relationships with our amazing Care Professionals and our wonderful clients, as well as their family members.
Making sure our clients get the right support they need to live independently within the comfort of their own homes and in an environment that is familiar to them, is very rewarding and through my work with Home Instead, I am able to achieve this. I enjoy bringing a smile to our client’s faces and love being part of a team that is making a positive difference in their lives.
