Firstpoint Homecare Harpenden are taking care of both my parents and I have been delighted with the care and service provided. The daily carers are so kind and thoughtful with my parents, I don't know what we'd do without them. The care manager is always very helpful and readily available should I need
to speak to her. Would highly recommend!

The carers always treat my nan with dignity and respect. She feels very comfortable with all carers. They all have respect when coming into the family home. They always encourage her to do her day-to-day things. The management team are always on hand when needed and communicate with myself as and when
required. If any issues occur then I feel comfortable reporting to the senior members of staff, we have had a couple of issues but this has been resolved promptly.

Since being introduced to First Point Home Care in May'24 we have been very thankful and feel a huge sense of relief. The care has been friendly, efficient, responsive, consistent - very important - at all levels. Not having ever needed care as a family to needing quite urgently at the point of hospital
discharge, the provision we've had for mum has been an absolute blessing. My mum has made huge improvements physically and emotionally over the weeks which has benefitted my elderly dad, and therefore me. I would highly recommend
FirstPoint Home Care. The training and care provided have demonstrated how
proactive and clinically astute the main carer in particular has been when nurse provision has been required. Relationally speaking the carers have shown kindness and compassion to mum and dad. We couldn't ask for more.

Firstpoint Homecare have been caring for mum for over 3 years. They provide regular carers who we know know well. They also know mum very well and are aware of her good days and bad days and keep me informed. They are kind, friendly, caring and happy to go the extra mile when required. They are reliable
and have never let me down. I don't know what mum and I would do without their support. Highly recommended!

I cannot praise more highly with carers and management care given to my husband. The carers have all been friendly, helpful with what my husband needs. They also have been very professional and made me feel at ease in their conduct. Management have also been extremely helpful and easy to talk to. All
in all, could not wish for more from the whole team 100%.

After an extremely bad experience with my previous care provider, it's a pleasure being cared for by Firstpoing Homecare. My carers are very respectful, polite, and forward-thinking, and attention to my needs, They are mostly on time, if for any reason they are running late, the office rings and tells
us. A joy in itself this never happened with my previous company caring for me. Everyone at First Point has been more than helpful, any little problem that has arisen has been sorted. I feel very lucky that First Point has come my way.

Generally, all carers are very good and if there is a problem it is dealt with very quickly with the help of management. Also, one of the carers is excellent, she has looked after my mum for quite a few years now. She understands my mum's needs as her dementia changes. She is very good at making sure
my mum eats which can be difficult at times.

I am very pleased with our carers they are pleasant and kind to my husband. They tell him what they are going to do to put his mind at rest. Just lately they are coming at different times so it makes it difficult for me to organise his food as I prefer to do it after they have been. Before they leave
they ask me if there is anything they can do to help me.

My husband has late-stage vascular dementia, not easy to deal with at times. He is bedbound and totally dependent on the carers and me. He has been receiving care from First Point Home Care for over two years. It hasn't been an easy journey and I am very grateful for the care and kindness he (and I)
received from his amazing carers. The management team have been very supportive, always going the extra mile to help us. Thank you to everyone at Firstpoint especially our carers who are always happy and cheerful. I hope if you read this you know who you are! We couldn't do it without you.

Aimee

Aimee

Job Title: Care Coordinator

Aimee first joined Firstpoint Homecare after coming off maternity leave after having her second child. She joined as a part-time carer to fit around her children. Over time Aimee took on more hours and more responsibilities and became a senior carer for the Cambridge branch. Aimee went on to study her NVQ levels 2 and 3 and later became a senior carer for Bedford and Cambridge. Cambridge and Bedford was then taken over by the Harpenden branch where she got very much involved and became one of the team in 2018. She has more recently taken on the role of Harpenden in 2022 as Care Coordinator and Trainer.


She has been on many train-the-trainer courses to widen her knowledge and to be able to train new staff. She works closely with the other team members in the Harpenden Branch to ensure the branch runs as smoothly as it can on a daily basis to provide exceptional care to all of our clients. Aimee still manages the small team of fantastic carers in Cambridge which we are hoping to grow in 2024 to widen the area we cover.


Aimee lives in Cambridge with her partner and two boys and in her spare time enjoys spending time with friends and family and going on family holidays.

Job Title: Field Care Supervisor

Joined: 2018

Sarah joined Firstpoint Homecare in 2018 as a support worker in the Bedford office. Later becoming the field supervisor. Sadly the Bedford office closed and she was made redundant, 6 months later she was asked to come back and work from the Harpenden office and the rest they say is history! Sarah is a very passionate person about the work she does with clients in the community to ensure they can live at home for as long as possible with their families and loved ones as well as supporting people who are living on their own.


Sarah has been working in the care sector for 20 years, she has worked in all aspects of the care sector from support workers to senior carer team leader and now field care supervisor. She is currently working her way through her NVQ5 in management leadership, which she is enjoying.


Sarah lives in Bedford with her husband and two boys who are both heavily involved in football, so when she is not being a football mum/ taxi in her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym and meeting up with her friends and travelling.
