They support older and vulnerable adults to remain in their own home, as independent as possible for as long as possible. Following a conversational assessment, the client receives a plan of care which is personalised in every aspect of their life.

Care is not a one size fits all and this is something that Home Instead truly understands. They offer a wide range of services including, companionship, medication management, personal care, meal preparation and serving, shopping, accompanying to appointments, and support for the client to maintain their social life or continue to take part in activities or interests. They also provide respite calls for families caring for loved ones, specialising in Dementia care, which enables the family carer to pursue an activity of their own choosing, knowing their loved one is being cared for as they would.   

Their CAREGivers are chosen for their personality, kindness and empathy, as well as a real desire to work with older people and make a real difference to their lives.

CAREGivers receive in-depth initial and ongoing training in a wide variety of topics to enable them to deliver bespoke care which meets the needs of the client and their family.

When employing a CAREGiver, Home Instead Dudley always uses the 'mum test' as their benchmark - if the person would not be sent to care for a member of their own family then they are not employed.

They know how difficult it can be caring for a loved one and Home Instead Dudley understand that supporting the family is also an important part of their role.

Home Instead care professionals looked after my mother as if she was their family each day for over 3 years. They took her shopping, on outings and to medical appointments, cooked her meals and even accompanied her when she had to go to hospital. This enabled her to live in her own home relatively independently.
Her dementia sometimes caused frustration, anger and sadness, but her team were there to offer a listening ear, support or a hug and then feed back the situation to me, which I found invaluable. I'm so glad we used Home Instead and I can't thank them enough for their excellent service and care.

Home Instead is wonderful.
Professional, helpful, and thoughtful.
All of the care professionals are so nice, this service has changed my Dad's life.
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are the days for visits, my Dad looks forward to those visits so much.
A couple of the care professionals take my Dad
out for breakfast, that's just great because I work full-time and do not have the time in the week.
His house is kept clean now too, he is unable to clean for himself.
It's important to me that I have someone else on board to help and assist with my Dad's care.

Home Instead's care and support were key to mum being able to remain safe in her own home. Home was her favourite place, her sanctuary and together with Home Indstead her family were able to ensure she could stay there until her quite sudden passing.

Having been recommended to Home Instead via a family member, this was the best advice knowing the level of care package that was to be provided for Mom.
Having the same carers helped more build a wealth of confidence in knowing who was looking after her on a regular basis and a level of trust with
knowing whom was coming into her home.
Mom was very pleased with the care given and that her needs were met. Unfortunately due to her needs plan changing, we could no longer continue the service, however it was sad this had to come to an end.

My family has received first-class support in all areas from the team.
My parents received excellent care from their kind and caring team. Each carer treated them with dignity and cheerfulness. The care package allowed my parents to remain in their own home for much longer than they had thought possible.
Our wider family has also felt well supported by the office and out-of-hours team. We are deeply grateful to you all.

My dad was looked after for just over a year by Home Instead. His care was genuine, supportive and friendly. There was a real desire to help him live in the best way he could.

My father started using your service after suffering a stroke in the summer of 2022, after losing his wife later on that year and with his mobility decreasing he and we as a family looked upon the extra care and support you gave us as a godsend. Dad formed quite a strong bond with his regular carers,
for which I have the utmost gratitude and they made the remaining time he had before he passed more easier for him and us. Thank you Home Instead and all the team.

Mum was always a very independent lady, who was very proud of being able to look after herself. However, as her ability started to decline, she realised she was struggling to cope alone. Home Instead provided the perfect solution not just for Mum but also for us. The staff who assessed Mum initially
were marvellous. The carers who looked after Mum on a daily basis soon became good friends and she enjoyed having someone she could talk to and share a joke with. It was reassuring for us to know she had someone she liked and could rely on. Thank you everyone at Home Instead.

Our experience with Home Instead has been very positive indeed. The carers have gone above and beyond their roles and we have nothing but praise for them. Given the extremely challenging times of Covid, they were exemplary. The care and attention provided were first class and it enabled Mom to stay

We only used Home Instead for a few months because my family member sadly passed away in July after being in hospital for several weeks. The carers were always punctual letting us know if they were going to be late even if it was only a few minutes. My family member was treated with dignity, compassion
and patience and was encouraged to do the exercise needed to improve his mobility. They were a big help and also provided a sympathetic ear. I only wish we had changed to them much sooner than we did.

Home Instead visited Dad on a regular basis for well over a year. During that time, his needs changed from fortnightly sociable drive to places of his choosing - to twice daily caring visits in his home. The carers were keen to help Dad and adapted well to his changing situation. The back office team
were very supportive, shared their knowledge, and communications were excellent.

The office team and carers were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They health with queries and issues relating to changing care requirements flexibly and providing sound advice to help us make the right choice.
The carers approached providing help around the home to my mother, who would sometimes
refuse to help, in a calm and dignified way to ensure she got help. I would recommend the company.

Home Instead have taken great care of our elderly uncle initially and later our elderly aunt. Sadly both have now passed away, our aunt very recently. Throughout the ten years, Home Instead have taken the pressure and worry from us as we've known they have been taking care of our aunt and uncle and
have kept us up to date with any concerns. I would highly recommend them.

I was extremely pleased with the service you provided for my uncle. It allowed him to stay in his own home longer. The staff were very helpful in trying to accommodate Uncle's needs.

We employed Home Instead to provide companionship, transport to medical appointments, and outings (mainly shopping trips) for a very independent 96 year old. All of her relatives live miles away and can only visit occasionally and all of her friends died before her. It was reassuring to know someone
visited regularly and could keep us informed on any issues which needed to be resolved as well as have someone handle routine transport needs.
Everything was handled professionally and efficiently and the carer built a strong relationship with Mother-in-law.

Very professional carers, skilled and compassionate. Managers and support staff very affordable and willing to alter care provided as my relative's needs grew. The carers were each introduced and familiarised themselves with the preferences and needs of my relative.
Having had a very poor experience
with a previous agency Home Instead quickly and reliably convinced my relative of their ability to provide an excellent service. The care provided was end of life care and we could not have asked for a more caring and supportive team of carers.

I had to arrange care for my wife who is terminally ill, so that I could go in to hospital for an operation. We were given only a week to arrange this and Home Instead were able to step in and take over giving me peace of mind that my wife would be well looked after. Will not hesitate to use Home Instead
again and will use word of mouth to our friends and family to promote your business.

Hello, I'm Marie


I'm the Care Manager here at Home Instead, but like everyone else, I began my career here as a CAREGiver. I knew very little about the care sector when I came to work here, but I knew it was an area I wanted to learn more about as I intended to go back to University to become a Social Worker. However, like almost everyone who works here, I found that I loved this type of work, what Home Instead stands for, it's ethos and quality of care delivered, so I stayed. My previous job was as Customer Services Manager at Dudley Zoo, so I know what it takes to deliver a great customer experience and have brought these skills to my current position.


I'm very proud of Home Instead and the work we do and, as Care Manager, I am responsible for all of the day to day activities and to make sure the office runs smoothly. The quality of the care delivered by our CAREGivers is extremely important to me and I refuse to let anyone 'rest on their laurels' as I am always looking for ways to continually improve our service.


In my spare time, I spend time with my husband, family and friends. I also enjoy reading, craft activities and learning how to better use technology. I am also known for my unhealthy obsession with stationery!

Hello, I'm Julie


I am one of the owners of Home Instead Dudley & Sandwell South. In the beginning, I did whatever needed doing - and to some extent, still do - however, my main responsibilities these days are compliance, planning and overall business development.


I am so proud of everything we have achieved so far at Home Instead and I am looking forward to continuing to grow without compromising the quailty of care we deliver. Our strap line on the company logo is 'To us, it's personal' this embodies how I feel about the company; looking after someone else's family member is incredibly personal, and we instil this in our staff from the very beginning.


When I trained and qualified as a nurse, care of the patient was very much our focus; over the years, this changed and it became more about targets and paperwork, so I left. I re-trained as a teacher and taught Health & Social Care in a local secondary school. When the focus of this job became about the results the children achieved, rather than the children themselves, I left there too. Now I am working in a environment where we get to make the decisions of how we operate as a company, I can promise you that our clients and our staff will always be the main focus of Home Instead.


In my spare time I enjoy anything craft-related, reading, jigsaws, recording our family memories for our grandson, and spending time with him and the rest of my family and friends. Like Marie, I, too have an unhealthy obsession with stationery and a bit of a Netflix dependency!

Hello, I'm Ian.


I'm one of the owners here at Home Instead Dudley and my main responsibilities are all things financial and I also am actively involved in the initial training and education of our CAREGivers. I feel that it's very important that I am involved at this early stage of our CAREGiver's journey, as I want to make sure that the people we employ have the same values as we do. We can teach them to do the job, but we can't teach them to be kind and caring - that's who they are. I have to be happy that I would send them to look after members of my own family before they look after you or your family. Julie and I take the responsibility of owning a Home Instead Franchise very seriously and the quality of the service we provide is hugely personal to us both. We understand how difficult it can be letting someone else care for yourself or your loved ones, and through our relationship-led care, we hope to earn your trust and become part of your life.


I am a family man first and foremost and spend huge amounts of any free time with our daughters, son-in-law and grandson. However, I am also a lifelong Wolves supporter, avid horse racing (non-betting) fan and resident dad-joke teller. I am told that I have modelled my 'act' on Eric Morecambe's piano playing! All the right jokes, not necessarily in the right order - there's a reference for people over a certain age!
