They support older and vulnerable adults to remain in their own home, as independent as possible for as long as possible. Following a conversational assessment, the client receives a plan of care which is personalised in every aspect of their life.

Care is not a one size fits all and this is something that Home Instead truly understands. They offer a wide range of services including, companionship, medication management, personal care, meal preparation and serving, shopping, accompanying to appointments, and support for the client to maintain their social life or continue to take part in activities or interests. They also provide respite calls for families caring for loved ones, specialising in Dementia care, which enables the family carer to pursue an activity of their own choosing, knowing their loved one is being cared for as they would.   

Their CAREGivers are chosen for their personality, kindness and empathy, as well as a real desire to work with older people and make a real difference to their lives.

CAREGivers receive in-depth initial and ongoing training in a wide variety of topics to enable them to deliver bespoke care which meets the needs of the client and their family.

When employing a CAREGiver, Home Instead Dudley always uses the 'mum test' as their benchmark - if the person would not be sent to care for a member of their own family then they are not employed.

They know how difficult it can be caring for a loved one and Home Instead Dudley understand that supporting the family is also an important part of their role.

Excellent service - office wonderful called to check how it was frequently when hospitalised, always friendly and helpful. Always introduced to carers before visits. Carers could not do enough and always asked if we required anything.

Home Instead provide an excellent service for Mum.
Carers were always punctual and provide care to a very high standard (personal and home care) Mum enjoyed their company and we were never made to feel that carers were rushing to get away.
They always stayed with Mum for the full time and sometimes
longer if needed. They communicated well with us - always a friendly voice at the end of the phone.
We had a very positive experience and would highly recommend Home Instead.

My mom was only cared for by the team for a short while, but during those couple of months, all the team, from the carers to the client team in the office, treated Mum and us as a family with dignity, respect and absolute professionalism. I can't thank them enough for their support, understanding and
truly caring attitude. It's a real credit to everyone involved at Home Instead Dudley - superb!

Mum received the highest possible quality care. Her carers were punctual, kind, friendly, caring, thoughtful and responsive to mum's needs. Reviews were carried out, the latest in April 2021, and the company did everything possible to ensure that mum's needs were met and reflected her current needs.
Upon mum's death in May 2021 concern and genuine feeling were shown by the company. Their continued support and genuine care for the wider family, that was shown was appreciated. Billing was very fair. We have already recommended the company to others.

Home Instead have provided a companionship service to my mum over the past two years and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
They worked to find a primary caregiver who got on well with Mum and they have formed a strong bond. The caregiver has become like one of the family and nothing has been too
much trouble.
Again, I would highly recommend Home Instead Dudley and Sandwell South to any potential new user.

I have nothing but praise and sincere thanks for the services of Home Instead and their dedicated staff. Carers looked after my mom and as if Mom and Dad were their own parents; always attentive, considerate and empathetic to their needs and how they were feeling. They were always flexible, and Home
Instead were always able to respond to our needs with the minimum notice. Our parents sadly are no longer with us, but it is a testament to Home Instead staff that I miss them too.

Mom was diagnosed with vascular dementia in Dec 2016. She was fine looking after herself for 12months with our help (4 children) but she needed more companionship on an increasing basis that we could not provide. Home Instead was recommended to us by the local authority. We used them from Jan 2018 -
Oct 2020 and the service was excellent from start to finish. The care plan was well prepared and the standard of care from the caregivers was consistently excellent. They were also very responsive to the changing demands and times. Mom formed lovely personal relationships with her carers.

Home Instead (Dudley and Sandwell South) have been involved in the overall care package for my Dad for 18 months now. In April 2020 he sustained a serious hip fracture and convalesced and recovered with myself and my wife for several months, before returning to sheltered accommodation at home. This
was a difficult time for all concerned due to Dad's age and past medical history. Thanks to Home Instead (Dudley and Sandwell South) he is now living independently and receives a package of care from Home Instead (Dudley and Sandwell South) carers and the team that supports them. Carers are attentive, patient centred and it is never a problem to raise any issue, of which there are remarkably few, with the back office team. The whole team are to be congratulated on their caring and attentive approach and have actually given my Dad his independence back, even though he has just turned ninety! Keep up the good work guys.

My mother was provided with companionship service, right up until her untimely passing in January 2021. She was always treated with the utmost care and respect, and looked forward to the visits each day. I cannot thank the carers enough for the way that they looked after Mom in what turned out to be
her last few months - an excellent service!

Following a detailed introduction meeting, well-matched carers provided personalised care. Carers were always reliable, thorough, friendly and treated Mom with dignity. She looked forward to their visits and enjoyed their company. With the support of Home Instead, she was able to stay in her own home
for many years longer. She was happy and content. We are so pleased with the service that we have recommended Home Instead to may other people.

I would like to thank the three ladies for the wonderful care they took to look after my Aunty. It was very difficult at first but persistence paid off. They went out of their way to look after and she speaks of them fondly. I would also like to thank the office staff for being polite and courteous
at all times.

From my first contact with Home Instead, the whole process of transferring my father's care to them went seamlessly. Office staff, management and especially the caregivers ensured Dad received excellent care. If it were not for my father's deteriorating health, they would have remained part of his 'extended
family' as this is how we saw them.

Thank you all for your kind, caring services to my uncle as his health deteriorated over 2 years. His dearest wish was to remain in his own home which he loved and your support made this possible even when he needed full support for all aspects of daily living. He was treated as an individual at all
times and his wishes were respected. His carers became friends who cheered him up when life seemed difficult for him. Communication from carers to the office and to myself was excellent and responsive to sudden changes.

Hello, I'm Marie


I'm the Care Manager here at Home Instead, but like everyone else, I began my career here as a CAREGiver. I knew very little about the care sector when I came to work here, but I knew it was an area I wanted to learn more about as I intended to go back to University to become a Social Worker. However, like almost everyone who works here, I found that I loved this type of work, what Home Instead stands for, it's ethos and quality of care delivered, so I stayed. My previous job was as Customer Services Manager at Dudley Zoo, so I know what it takes to deliver a great customer experience and have brought these skills to my current position.


I'm very proud of Home Instead and the work we do and, as Care Manager, I am responsible for all of the day to day activities and to make sure the office runs smoothly. The quality of the care delivered by our CAREGivers is extremely important to me and I refuse to let anyone 'rest on their laurels' as I am always looking for ways to continually improve our service.


In my spare time, I spend time with my husband, family and friends. I also enjoy reading, craft activities and learning how to better use technology. I am also known for my unhealthy obsession with stationery!

Hello, I'm Julie


I am one of the owners of Home Instead Dudley & Sandwell South. In the beginning, I did whatever needed doing - and to some extent, still do - however, my main responsibilities these days are compliance, planning and overall business development.


I am so proud of everything we have achieved so far at Home Instead and I am looking forward to continuing to grow without compromising the quailty of care we deliver. Our strap line on the company logo is 'To us, it's personal' this embodies how I feel about the company; looking after someone else's family member is incredibly personal, and we instil this in our staff from the very beginning.


When I trained and qualified as a nurse, care of the patient was very much our focus; over the years, this changed and it became more about targets and paperwork, so I left. I re-trained as a teacher and taught Health & Social Care in a local secondary school. When the focus of this job became about the results the children achieved, rather than the children themselves, I left there too. Now I am working in a environment where we get to make the decisions of how we operate as a company, I can promise you that our clients and our staff will always be the main focus of Home Instead.


In my spare time I enjoy anything craft-related, reading, jigsaws, recording our family memories for our grandson, and spending time with him and the rest of my family and friends. Like Marie, I, too have an unhealthy obsession with stationery and a bit of a Netflix dependency!

Hello, I'm Ian.


I'm one of the owners here at Home Instead Dudley and my main responsibilities are all things financial and I also am actively involved in the initial training and education of our CAREGivers. I feel that it's very important that I am involved at this early stage of our CAREGiver's journey, as I want to make sure that the people we employ have the same values as we do. We can teach them to do the job, but we can't teach them to be kind and caring - that's who they are. I have to be happy that I would send them to look after members of my own family before they look after you or your family. Julie and I take the responsibility of owning a Home Instead Franchise very seriously and the quality of the service we provide is hugely personal to us both. We understand how difficult it can be letting someone else care for yourself or your loved ones, and through our relationship-led care, we hope to earn your trust and become part of your life.


I am a family man first and foremost and spend huge amounts of any free time with our daughters, son-in-law and grandson. However, I am also a lifelong Wolves supporter, avid horse racing (non-betting) fan and resident dad-joke teller. I am told that I have modelled my 'act' on Eric Morecambe's piano playing! All the right jokes, not necessarily in the right order - there's a reference for people over a certain age!
