I am very grateful for the support and care provided to my nan at very short notice. The care manager went above and beyond to put end-of-life care in place for my nan which was sadly for a short period of time. From office staff to carers the support and care my family and my nan received was excellent
from start to finish. I would recommend Home Instead (Aylesbury Vale) to anyone who needs support to continue to be living at home.

Home Instead has been nothing but fantastic. They are consistent and the small team that works with my mum always do their best. My mum is happy, very happy with her care and looks forward to the visits. As a family, we are a lot less stressed than we used to be. Thank you, Home Instead.

Entrusting the care of a loved one to a care provider is an enormous decision and it has to be the right match, nothing less than excellence will do. With Home Instead Aylesbury Vale, I am delighted to have found the high standards, professionalism and compassionate care I was looking for. The very
happy relationships my mother has with her carers are so reassuring for me and my family, and a testament to the commitment of the carers. I have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead, Aylesbury Vale.

My first encounter with Home Instead was when I was looking for carers for my mum last October. I was trying to assist the discharge co-ordinator as she she was struggling to find anyone. From my first contact with them to the continuing contact now, it has been lovely. My mum was discharged for 'end
of life' care, it was a scary time, and with two carers, three times a day, we were able to establish a routine very quickly. As my mum thrived at home and became stronger, Home Instead were able to adjust the care package according to her fewer needs. The carers we have met along the way have been empathetic, professional and take time to listen to Mum as she struggles with her speech as a result of two strokes. From being bedbound for several weeks, she is now walking at home unaided and only uses a wheelie frame when outside. Her diet is normal, and she has a good appetite. We would thoroughly recommend Home Instead! Thank you.

Polite, friendly caregivers who work with professionalism in a sympathetic manner. Regular caregivers are able to build up meaning relationships with the client and their family.
Caregivers give peace of mind and support to the family plus lots of reassurance. Special thanks to two staff, for all their
support.

Fay Sinclair

Job Title: Care Manager

My name is Fay Sinclair and I have been working in the care sector since 1998. Over these years I have gained knowledge and experience working in many different areas of care such as child welfare, Residential care, and working with people living with dementia. I love to care for individuals in our community by supporting them and encouraging them to live happily in their own homes. My passion for care in the community informed my decision to permanently move to Domiciliary care in 2003.

I joined Home Instead Aylesbury Vale and North East Oxfordshire in May 2020 as a Senior Care Professional. The values and beliefs held by Home Instead, particularly those in supporting individuals in our local community and offering truly person-centred care represent what I stand for. This enables me to thoroughly enjoy my job on a daily basis. Home Instead is where I have decided I want to grow my career as quality is never compromised and the team are highly professional in everything that they do.

Since joining Home Instead, my professional journey has developed as I quickly achieved moving into a Team Leader role and then onto being the Deputy Care Manager. The company have fully supported my professional development through sitting a Level 3 in Health and Social Care through this part of my journey.
In the summer of 2022, I started feeling that I could do more and set my sights on becoming the Care Manager. The owners have fully supported my ambition and my studies for Level 5 in Health and Social Care. In doing so I have stepped into my current role as a Care Manager. There is a lot to learn but one of the things I’ve learnt by being at Home Instead is that we are always learning. If it’s not learning something new then it’s learning to improve.

I can’t express how happy I am doing what I do with Home Instead but I can say that I’m very excited and looking forward to a continued career with Home Instead.

My name is Julia, and I joined the Home Instead family in August 2020 as a Care Professional. I didn’t think that I could start afresh with a new career but having worked with Home Instead and realising that the owners were very supportive of development, I started considering building my career here.

Since joining, I’ve been fully supported to complete my Level 2 in Health and Social Care and have more recently started my Level 3 in Health and Social Care. I’ve also successfully been promoted to a Senior Care Professional role. I am very proud of my achievements and am very happy to be working with an organisation that puts client care at the heart of what we do. I really enjoy what I do. I love providing hands-on care in the community and supporting our Care Professionals in doing their fantastic work.

I used to work with children so providing care to a different age group was completely new to me. Home Instead taught me how to help and support individuals in the community in a way that enhances their quality of life. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work with great clients and amazing colleagues, and I am excited about my future with Home Instead.

Home Instead does some amazing work with its clients in their local community. I am proud to say I am part of such a positive organisation, working to change the face of ageing. It is uncommon to find a company that is such a great match for your values, so I cannot be happier at Home Instead.

The customer is right at the heart of what we do here at Home Instead. Our client-orientated approach allows us to provide meaningful and relationship-led lead care with professionalism. Everyone at Home Instead shares the same values of delivering quality care in people's homes enabling them to get the most out of their daily living. The Home Instead Care Professionals always put the client at the centre of what they do but yet love what they do so much that they can’t believe that this is their job.

As a student placement, I have been given the opportunity to develop with the team and really get involved with what is happening. My job role enables me to take some responsibility with the support always available if I need it. The responsibilities I have been given as well as the opportunity to be part of the team have been great for my personal and professional development. This has motivated me to strive to improve myself and build upon the work which I do, to enable Home Instead to work towards their vision of expanding the world’s capacity to care.
