I would like to say a big thank you to carers and the office team for their continued support for my lovely Mum. She has had a very difficult time over the last few years, in and out of hospital, a stroke etc but I cannot praise everyone enough for the care, support and kindness they give her. She looks
forward to seeing her carers for help and of course a chat in these difficult challenging times of Covid. I cannot praise her main carer enough, she has become a friend who makes sure Mum is always comfortable, safe and happy. Excellent service! Keep up the good work.

I would recommend Home Instead Senior Care (Taunton & West Somerset) to friends and family. They seem to be well managed and the visits well coordinated. The care they provide to mum makes me feel she is safe and looked after.

Home Instead has provided increased levels of care for my parents over a 3 year period As a result, they have been able to stay living at home longer than otherwise possible (they are now going into care).
I have always been kept well informed of concerns/developments with my parents, and urgent
care has been provided each time there has been a need.
There has been a consistency in the caregivers, so my parents see familiar faces daily.
I have been extremely impressed by the overall care that Home Instead has provided, and will always be very grateful to the friendly and professional nature of all staff members. Thank you.

I am particularly impressed with the office staff. They are very friendly and extremely helpful. Being disabled I get the extra care and consideration I need from the caregivers who visit me. It is very important to me that they understand my disabilities and they all do that.

The service I received from Home Instead has been exceptional; from the initial enquiry stage to the planning of the schedule of care and finally through to the quality of the care delivered. My father got to know and like his carers, he looked forward to their visits and frequently praised them. They
were always friendly, helpful and capable.
In addition, I found the managers at Home Instead were excellent communicators and always ready to assist when it came to the organisation of medical appointments and prescriptions.
I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead to others.

My sister and I can't thank Home Instead enough. Sadly, our dad passed away suddenly in September; he had been caring for mum superbly. We were faced not only with the shock and grief of losing dad but also how mum was going to be cared for. To be honest, we were completely overwhelmed by the situation
we found ourselves in. We contacted Home Instead and explained our situation. They were superb; they managed to get caregivers in extremely quickly and without much notice. This gave us the time and space to sort out all that we needed to in terms of dad's passing. Very quickly, it became obvious that we'd made the best decision we could have made, not only for us but for mum too. Each and every caregiver has been amazing with mum; their genuine care and compassion has taken a huge burden of worry away from us. Simply put, the ladies who come are wonderful and we know that when we are not here, we don't need to worry about mum. Mum looks forward to the ladies coming...we do too.

Very happy with the level of care provided and a breath of fresh air after a bad experience with a carer from another company. The management is very good and the carers do a good job and are very friendly. It spoke volumes when initially phoning around the self-employed carers that a popular fully-booked
one essentially recommended the competition!

My wife suffered a severe stroke and I was told that it was extremely unlikely I would be able to cope with looking after her at home. However, I contacted Home Instead and they determined that it would be quite feasible to care for her in our little thatched cottage.
The carers are absolutely brilliant,
my wife is a very private person but I don't think that I have heard her laugh as much for a long time. They are punctual, treat my wife with dignity at all times and thoroughly professional. My wife likes all of them without reservation (although she does have her favourites). Everyone at Home Instead has been very supportive of me as well, asking whether I am ok, sleeping/eating ok etc which is great because I think that the primary carer can get forgotten.
It is true that the fees are not cheap but you certainly get what you pay for and I believe that the service provided is good value for money. I certainly would not hesitate to recommend them.

From the moment we first made contact with Home Instead we felt relief. Relief that our problems were being understood, and could be addressed quickly. I needed some help for my mum - her needs changed rapidly, and Home Instead adapted accordingly. My dad felt that all the caregivers wanted to help
my mum. They talked to him all the time about what they were doing for my mum. It was important to him that he still felt involved with his wife's care. Although we were paying for a service, we did feel that the caregivers genuinely cared about my mum. This made such a difference to us, as it is a hard decision to give the care of someone you love into the hands of strangers. Unfortunately, my mum passed away so our association with Home Instead was cut short. However, I would recommend them, and I will use Home Instead when the time comes for my dad to get some help.

My mother has had care for twelve months and I cannot fault the standard of care she had received. Without exception, she has been treated with respect and dignity. Nothing has been too much trouble for anyone. Thank you all.

We decided to use Home Instead as care providers to mum as they promised to keep the number of caregivers attending to a minimum. This was very important to us. They haven't failed us on this. The care given is excellent and professional. All staff I have dealt with have been incredibly helpful and
understanding of our situation. I would highly recommend Home Instead to anyone wanting the same level of care you would give your loved one if you were able to do it yourself.

Home Instead have been caring for my 95-year-old Mum for several years. Having found a previous care provider unreliable and unsatisfactory, Home Instead were recommended to me through my GP's surgery. They began by undertaking Mum's personal care and light housework, but more recently as her mobility
decreased, we extended visits to lunchtimes too. This ensured Mum was having a freshly cooked hot meal of her choice every day instead of microwaved meals. At the beginning of February, we are further extending Mum's care to nighttime visits in order to ensure she has supper and gets to bed safely.
Home Instead have provided Mum with a wonderful team of CareGivers, who are kind, patient and professional. I know I can rely upon them to treat her with dignity, and that they will act in Mum's best interests, quickly spotting any new health problems, getting the right help on her behalf, and keeping me informed.
I highly recommend Home Instead.

Since my mother has been using Home Instead Senior Care, we have met a lovely team of people who work extremely well with her. They are always polite and courteous to my mother, my brother and I when we visit. They make a great effort to make sure that all her needs are met and sometimes feel that they
put themselves out to look after her.
My brother and I feel confident using the team and communication with the office is excellent and efficient. I'd never feel awkward asking for a change to the care if necessary, which makes it very easy using a dedicated business that carries out its role very professionally. I would happily recommend Home Instead to anyone who wants care for an elderly relative. Important to have peace of mind.

Home Instead have provided home care for my Mother since March 2019 when she was discharged from hospital. I have found them to be exemplary in all respects and have always been on time for the 2 visits per day, 7 days per week. They have provided regular carers so that Mum has got to know them well
and new carers are brought and introduced to her so no strangers appear at her door. I feel that they go the extra mile when it comes to their responsibilities, for example, they recently contacted my Mum's GP when she was experiencing difficulty with her medication and arranged for an alternative that immediately solved the issue. One of Mum's carers, in particular, who visits her usually 6 days per week displays incredible patience and concern. I can't recommend Home Instead enough, they have certainly helped my Mum no end and provided me with regular respite.

Our family used Home Instead Senior Care (Taunton & West Somerset) for 7 months, following my Mum's illness from January through to her End of Life Care in July.
I cannot rate them highly enough, they treated my Mum with total respect, care and dignity right through until her final moments.
I would
thoroughly recommend them every time, the perfect Care Provider.

Job Title: Finance and Payroll Administrator

Julie has a very varied background before joining Home Instead. She’s worked for NATO HQ in Brussell’s, managed a pub with her brother and been a carer for people with spinal injuries, but by far her favourite is Home Instead.

Her experience in care enables Julie to understand the difficulties our clients and their families face on a daily basis. Knowing what difference, it can make having someone there, is able to support everything including financial matters.

In her spare time, Julie loves Gardening, attending festivals, watching live bands and spending time with my family.
