It is very disappointing to receive such an inaccurate review, particularly given a previous review was removed under challenge.
Right at Home Tyneside consistently delivers the high quality and compassionate care reflected in 60+ client reviews on this website and our review score of 9.7 / 10.
We were extremely disappointed to withdraw from supporting your mother. As you know, this resulted from family members repeatedly asking our carers to resign and join another family member’s business that is a direct competitor of ours.
Despite our requests for such approaches to cease these persisted, continually pressuring our staff to leave and causing extreme anxiety to several valued team members.
Although we are here first and foremost to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the many vulnerable adults we support, we also have a duty of care to our committed and loyal care staff. After long and careful consideration, we took the decision to withdraw.
Both family and the commissioning body were informed, and an end date agreed. It is important to remind you that our contract was directly with the local authority and the commissioners were incredibly supportive of our decision and our relationship with the Council remains excellent.
We will always do everything in our power to deliver the highest quality care to the people we support, whilst respecting the duty of care we have to our trusted care staff.
