I am your client's cousin, whom I visit about bi-monthly from 200 miles away.
I'm unable to give informed comment on management except that your carers appear to be carefully selected.
The client, a dear relative aged 95 is significantly deaf and blind - now also confused and very repetitious (or
forgetful), after a widely travelled, independent life.
Seniors Helping Seniors have been her carers for several (or X) years, and I'd say the four times daily visits continue to work well. The individual carers are lovely people: efficient, patient and cheerful, whether English, Nigerian or other - in particular encouraging, indeed helping the old lady to eat more than she manages alone.
I would say we love them!

The service was excellent, we would have loved to continue with Seniors Helping Seniors but Mom is now in a 24-hour residential home.
Unfortunately we reside in another country and could never afford to continue with the payments, our rand is pathetic.

Thank you! It was our pleasure to help your mum choose and get ready for the residential. Our carer was so happy to help her settle and tie up loose ends for you.

Seniors Helping Seniors provided twenty-four hour care for my 91 year aunt during May and June 2023. Her health deteriorated very quickly and I was concerned for her safety at night as she became confused and disorientated. One staff member came at night and was calm and reassuring. Another staff member
came during the day and is kind and funny. Both men shared a bit about their own lives which my aunt really enjoyed and, when she was awake and well enough to chat she found their company very enjoyable. She had a lot of medication that changed frequently. The registered manager was always on top of this and the communication was excellent. We couldn't have coped without them. Their help and care meant she was able to die at home as she wished.

We have been very happy with the service we have received from Seniors Helping Seniors over three years. My mother, who has dementia, has had kind, patient, reliable support, which has allowed her to continue to live fairly independently with lovely companions visiting about four times per week.
Thank
you.

I would have been lost without the advice and support from the manager and her team.
Dad really enjoyed the company and chats in the run-up to moving into a carehome.
The manager is a rare diamond who genuinely cares and is totally dedicated to what she does.

Wonderful service - lovely carers, they are doing such a great job. Mum looks forward so much to their arrival and is happy with all their work - absolute angels! They have transformed not only Mum's life but that of my sister, her primary carer.

I knew my mother would never want to be put in a home. I knew at some point in my life I would need to move in and care for her. But trying to keep myself safe to be able to care for her and keep my frail mum safe from this terrible Covid has been really hard. My brother organised for someone from Seniors
Helping Seniors to come and see me. This wonderful woman rested her hand on my knee and said it’s all right to cry. No one has understood my feelings as well as this amazing lady, and my goodness; she was such a comfort. And so we now have two lovely ladies who can cover the week and give me two hours each weekday for some me time. Mum doesn’t like or trust strangers, but right from the start, she showed no sign of feeling anxious. They come in and brighten our mornings, I can share any worries, and they are so knowledgeable I can sleep at night. They wheel Mum into the wet room for a shower, and I can hear them making funny noises and laughing. Nothing is too much trouble, and now the house and us sparkle happily.

Seniors Helping Seniors have looked after me after a knee replacement operation, on top of depression, which left me finding it very difficult to cope. I have been looked after very well, and so have my pets! I now feel ready to cope on my own but would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

This company has been a big help with relief care and also whilst trying to rearrange a new care schedule after discharge from the hospital. Professional carers that nothing was too much trouble. Problem-solving and helping at short notice have helped with an easy transition back into everyday life.

The lovely ladies treated her with the utmost respect in order to maintain her dignity at a really difficult time. Their patience and empathy were outstanding.

It is always going to be hard to let go when entrusting an older parent to an unknown home care provider. But in the 5-years that I have collaborated with Seniors Helping Seniors, there has never been cause for me to doubt Seniors Helping Seniors and their professional capability to manage the care-in-the-home
task.
The provision of care in the home has many moving parts, not least the changing requirements of the client - my nonagenarian mother. Yet, regardless of the situation, Seniors Helping Seniors always take everything in their stride, without any delay or fuss. What I really like is that they are always considering what could be done proactively to improve my mother’s situation, before problems arise. This approach goes beyond the basic duty of care.
I live in the Far East, so regular communication with the Seniors Helping Seniors carers is critical. Without a solid relationship built on respect and trust, the ongoing care of my mother in her home would not be possible.

I have a regular carer/companion from Seniors Helping Seniors. From first being with her, I knew she would go above and beyond in helping me, and she has! She is really special and has supported me in many ways, including taking me to appointments, out and about for a cuppa and a chat, and cooking the
most delightful meals. I enjoy being with her so much, and I am sure that she has contributed in helping to enhance my days.
Regarding the company - all the communication I have had with them has been of very high quality. When I have made a request, they have replied promptly and to an excellent standard.
The staff are very friendly, and overall, I am so happy that I have chosen Seniors Helping Seniors.

I have been impressed with Seniors Helping Seniors from the very start. We are so glad to have found them, and the service has made a very positive impact on my mum's life and given her the chance to interact and socialise with people other than her family, which is very important, especially since
lockdown. From our first assessment visit to both of my mum's lovely companions/carers, we can't fault them. Nothing is too much trouble, and I am able to change or add additional visits with ease. The admin staff are brilliant, friendly and very prompt in replying to requests. Everyone is very caring, and Mum always gets full attention. She looks forward to seeing her new 'friends' for a good natter, as well as help with light domestic chores. It really makes a difference to our week. Highly recommended!

I have nothing other than very high praise for Seniors Helping Seniors. They provide brilliant care for my dad, giving him plenty of time in each visit, good company and staff that genuinely do their best at all times.
They seem very accommodating when we've needed extra help or bookings, and nothing
seems to be too much trouble. The carers all seem to be 'different' from those that we've used before with other providers, and my dad doesn't feel that they're just ticking a box with a flying visit; they help Dad with his needs on a 1:1 basis. Very impressed - thank you.

My husband has had Alzheimer’s for around 8-years, and I have been his sole carer. As any carer knows, you have no time for yourself, and I had reached the stage where I needed just some me time. My husband has never accepted he has Alzheimer’s, so I needed someone who wasn’t from a traditional care
company so he would look upon the person as a friend. As soon as I contacted Seniors Helping Seniors, we both never looked back. Their carer took my husband under her wing and kept him fully occupied and happy for a full 4-hours. From helping him exercise to playing the piano and singing and taking him for walks. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more. The whole company are so caring and understanding; you feel like an individual and not just a number. They were miracle workers for both of us.

Following the release from the hospital for an elderly relative without a care plan, I had to source my own care.
Social services were no help at all, and after over 30-calls, Seniors Helping Seniors were the only company that made any effort to help.
The care received was excellent, and they couldn’t
have been more helpful and accommodating.
I would recommend every day of the week. Thank you to the manager and team for helping out in our hour of need.

We found Seniors Helping Seniors a couple of years ago. We were looking for someone to become a caring companion for my mum, who was very afraid of the idea of conventional 'care'. As a lady in her 90s, she was still wanting to be very independent but struggled to do all the things she felt she should
be doing. She was still living at home at that point.
The carer recommended by Seniors Helping Seniors is just perfect. She visits Mum for a couple of hours a week. They play scrabble, go out for a little walk, and chat. More recently, Mum has moved into a residential home, and our carer still visits her there, and that's been a great help in keeping things normal while she settles in. They each consider the other to be good friends now, more than just a professional relationship. I think we have been extremely lucky to find Seniors Helping Seniors!

Reply from Christian Wilse, Manager at Seniors Helping Seniors (UK) Ltd - Canterbury

Thank you, Sarah, a friendly face to ease the transition into residential is something we are so proud of. Our carers really understand the whole process, and you can call us whenever you think it could help.
