Overall Experience

I can't thank Home Instead Senior Care enough for all the support and care they gave to both my dad and ourselves while going through a very trying period of our lives with my dad suffering from advanced Alzheimer's disease. They stepped in and took away so much stress from my mum who found it increasingly

difficult to shower, change my dad's clothes and deal with his washroom needs. At the same time keeping my dad calm and as relaxed as possible.
Aside from care, management always ensured that we were happy and they were always prepared to change arrangements quickly and easily and often with little notice if needed.
The costs were very reasonable and with a simple to understand invoice that was sent at the beginning of every month by email, it was sorted with ease.
If you're at the point of looking for some additional care and help, even if just for an hour or 2 a day, then I would look no further than this exceptional company.

Without exception, the care givers have shown kindness and professionalism when dealing with my parents.
The whole family feel confident that the wellbeing of our parents is at the heart of what the carers do every day.

I totally recommend the services provided by Home Instead. My mum is being provided with excellent care at home. Having dementia and living alone was getting to be a worry for our family. The stress levels were high and the constant worry was getting to us all. Phone calls to me were at least 15 a day,

now I feel like the abandoned daughter! The carers have been fantastic, supporting mum living at home, chatting, helping with everything she needs to be happy and safe. Mum loves their visits and our family appreciate all the good work the carers do. Highly recommend this home care agency.

My parents have used the services of Home Instead Senior Care (Blackpool and Wyre) for two and a half years, and the service provided has been outstanding: In that time, the carers have been excellent and always completely focused on my parents' well-being and loving care. The policy of using a small

number of familiar carers per client works well and has meant that mum and dad feel completely comfortable and confident that they are in safe hands, with carers feeling like welcome friends. Unlike other agencies, the carers always have time to do a good job, arrive at the expected times, and never give the impression that they have to rush on to other clients.
Whenever unexpected issues have cropped up that have needed additional ad-hoc carer attendances, the Home Instead office managers have willingly arranged those, sometimes at short notice. In general, the office staff are always friendly, efficient and responsive whenever contacted.
We would recommend Home Instead without hesitation.

My godmother has enjoyed first-class care by Home Instead Blackpool. She has been treated with the respect she deserves by all her carers ad all of the staff. We have met most of her carers and been pleased with the way they deal with the person in their care. The employees of Home Instead should be

As a family, we cannot praise Home Instead highly enough for the care mum received from their excellent team of caregivers. The support and friendship these ladies provided immediately overcame mum's initial reluctance to accept help and enabled her to extend her dream of independent living safely and

happily.
The management team were extremely efficient and always went the extra mile to ensure the best care for mum and reassurance for us as a family. Their communication was excellent, which was particularly important to us as mum's close family live overseas. We can wholeheartedly recommend the care and support we received from Home Instead.

Overall Experience

We live a long distance away from my grandfather and having care for him that we can trust and feel confident in is of the utmost importance. I work in the care profession myself so know the varied standards you can receive and that some companies keep their staff so busy and stretched that they don’t

have time to demonstrate care. At Home Instead they don’t do this. Their staff are given enough time with each client to be able to offer care and companionship. They will notice what is needed and have bought shopping without being asked. They have also stayed late on occasions when he has become distressed and are not happy to leave him whilst he is unsettled. The management have always been very accommodating, nothing is too much trouble and they will use their initiative to plan and provide the best care at the best times. I cannot recommend Home Instead highly enough. We are so grateful to have this care provision by people who have spent the time getting to know my grandfather.

Overall Experience

We have been using Home Instead for 6 months and what a difference.
The care before came at random times, sent carers my Dad didn't know and sometimes they only stayed 10 to 15 minutes.
Home Instead have sent the same carers so my Dad has got to know them and is, therefore, more likely to get washed

and dressed and they genuinely seem to like him and their job. They wash up and tidy round and leave house how I would leave it.
Thank goodness we have them.

I used Home Instead Senior Care Blackpool and Wyre for my brother's care for almost a year from Dec '16 to Oct '17 and was delighted with the service they provided.
My brother had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's a couple of years earlier and his condition had deteriorated until he needed help with

his care and meal provision.
All of Home Instead's caregivers showed the utmost sympathy to my brother's needs and their time, skills and patience were greatly appreciated by the family.
As the illness worsened occasions arose when my brother's moods could prove to be very awkward but Home Instead continued to advise and support, constantly keeping the family aware of any situation.
From my experience, I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to anyone needing their service.

Overall Experience

We started using Home Instead when my husband was diagnosed with vascular dementia and Home Instead offered exactly the kind of companion care we needed so that I could carry on with my life and get some respite.
It has been invaluable to keep me well and still getting out knowing my husband was well

cared for. The sitters were excellent and kept my husband engaged, safe and happy. I can't thank them all enough.

I would like to thank the staff of Home Instead Senior Care for the professional manner in which they have looked after my parents for several months now. We went with Home Instead Senior Care after a care company failed to look after my Mam and Dad the way I would have liked. Since changing to Home

Instead Senior Care, my parents who both have Dementia and Alzheimer's have shown great improvement with their illness due to the excellent care and look much happier, cleaner and the house is also immaculate at all times. There have been a few challenges along the way, but being able to work with the staff who are always available, all the problem have been solved with as little fuss as possible. My brothers and I would highly recommend Home Instead Senior Care to anyone who is looking for a company who provides excellent service when you need it most.

The service my mother has received from the Blackpool office of Home Instead has been exceptional. In particular her carer has made such a big difference to my mum's life. She has MS and her carer helps first thing in the morning with showering and breakfast. She treats mum with care, dignity and friendliness.

Overall Experience

Home Instead provided personal care and cleaning services to my mother at home and, after a serious accident, assistance whilst she was in the local hospital. The carers visited on time, stayed for the agreed duration and performed the agreed services. I was unable to visit the hospital every day and

arranged with hospital staff for the carer to visit during protected meal times to ensure my mother had a sufficient intake of food and drink. Home Instead provided feedback when necessary. Invoicing was accurate and, given the quality and reliability of the service, the cost was fair when compared to the provision of state services. (I had experience of the latter whilst caring for another elderly relative and found the frequent change of carers, short (rushed) visits and unreliable visiting times very disruptive).

I cannot sing the praises of Home Instead loudly enough. This company listen to clients and carers and actually provide a service that YOU want, rather than what suits their organisation. Nothing is too much trouble and the peace of mind that I have knowing that my Mum is being cared for by kind, caring

professional people is priceless. They have time to care for my Mum but also to chat to her and share stories. They are patient and courteous and she looks forward to their visits. There is a small team of staff that care for my Mum so she is not always encountering strangers and the communication between Home Instead and me regarding my Mum's care is excellent. I would highly recommend this company - the support my Mum and I have had from them from day one has been excellent.

Overall Experience

My mother has been using Home Instead for 18 months. She has dementia which is progressing. Home Instead have been invaluable her two carers are fantastic and she thinks of them as friends. They are kind, friendly but most importantly they know how to care for someone with dementia. The management team

are great too and go the extra mile to help if we need extra hours at short notice.

Overall Experience

Home Instead allowed our Dad to return to his own home after a serious stroke when other care agencies were unwilling or unable to provide care at home. Home Instead visited Dad in hospital and were able to provide the level of care which the NHS/Social Services required.

Since Dad came home he

has improved in leaps and bounds and Home Instead have proved to be very reliable with regular carers. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Home Instead to anyone.
