As our very first customer many years ago, Mum became a firm favourite with the ‘girls’ at Bluebird Care, both past and present. Prior to starting a career in care, I worked in retail. The day-to-day was monotonous and I wanted to do something more worthwhile. During this time my Grandad was also diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and went into a residential setting. I observed a struggling service and poor practices and without any experience knew I could do better.
My journey with Bluebird Care started in 2014 as a part-time care assistant. Through the years I have progressed through the roles to my current position as Registered Manager. The experience, knowledge and training I have received through the years, including my level 5 qualification has without a doubt supported me in getting to where I am today.
I’m so excited and immensely proud to lead a service that is committed to providing the best home care in Oxfordshire. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and alongside an exceptional management team, we nurture and support our Bluebirds to deliver the best service possible.

I joined Bluebird Care back in April 2014 as a care assistant, mainly due to having a small child and being able to have flexible working hours. I quickly found supporting members of my local community and surrounding villages really rewarding and I realised that this was the industry that I wanted to build a career in. I went from Care Assistant to Support Supervisor, Supervisor to Live-in Care Manager, to where I am today, predominantly overseeing the safe running of the South, West and central Oxfordshire territory.
As well as having transferrable skills from my earlier roles, I also hold an NVQ level 5 in Care Management and look forward to developing my knowledge further in other areas of the business. I have always felt Bluebird is the perfect fit for me due to the shared ethos of person-centred care, promoting independence and going the extra mile to make a difference in someone's life whilst remaining in their own home. I feel extremely privileged to help lead a team, that provides great quality care to Oxfordshire's vulnerable adults.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my two children, walking and swimming.
