We wanted to move Mum from a care home back to her own home and Bluebird gave an excellent service from when my sister approached them. They visited Mum and were very supportive as Mum has advanced dementia. We need two carers per visit and every one of them is kind, polite and genuinely caring towards
Mum and they meet all of her required needs. They offer advice, and also listen if I raise anything with them. Highly Recommended.

I continue to be very happy with the attention I receive from my carers. They do everything they can to make me as comfortable as they can from making sure I am safe in the shower to warming my clothes on the radiator, making me a hot drink and sandwiches for lunch. They have become good friends and
I look forward to their visits as we always have something of interest to talk about.

Mum had had a 12 week stay in hospital where she had lost mobility, weight and strength. Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton were excellent in sourcing a live in carer at two days' notice which helped mum leave hospital as quickly as possible. They also scheduled three further care visits per day at
short notice and amended the visit times to support mum's needs. Their care and support led mum to be sitting and walking again within a few weeks. There is good communication after every visit via an app, important for me as I live abroad. Highly recommended.

Bluebird Care has provided a fantastic care service to my wife over the last ten years in accordance with her needs over the period. The care required has changed over the years with a significant change over the last year following her aspiration episode in July 2023. My wife's health significantly
deteriorated in July 2024 but again, Bluebird stepped up as requested to provide the care needed to look after all her care needs. Sadly, my wife died of secondary progressive MS on 03/08/24.
I highly recommend Bluebird Care for any care needs. I would not hesitate to use them again if they were required.

I'd like to say a great big thank you to all in the Bluebird team who have been involved in my mum's care recently.
You were able to quickly set up and put in place her care plan before her hip replacement surgery. Starting her care visits just 3 days after she left hospital.
Mum has determinedly
worked hard on her recovery exercises, resulting in her making remarkable progress. She couldn't have achieved her current level of well-being without the excellent support and personal care given by all her carers who patiently supported her.
Carers and office staff have all been caring and professional, always available by phone or email. The care notes and booking system on the app have been easy to use and have been invaluable in keeping me informed about Mum's care.

The carers are clean and tidy. Always helpful and on the lookout to do the extra job e.g. I need water on the bedside table at night. Very rarely need reminding to get fresh water. I'm 93 and they seem to know when I need that extra bit of help and comfort. Willing to do the extra help without being
told. They are my friends, I only have 2 stepsons living miles away, takes one 4 to 5 hours to visit. I have a marvellous godson who is friends with my carers. Well done carers! Cannot do without you!

Bluebird cared for my mum, brother and lately my dad. They have been so caring and professional in all the times they came to care for my family, I can't recommend them enough. They made my dad's last weeks of his life so much better than it would have been in the hospital. Being in his own home meant

My mum has received excellent care from Bluebird for the last couple of years or so and both she and I are delighted with her care. It has been wonderful for me to have peace of mind, knowing she is well cared and catered for three times a day and has company too. Always time for them to have a friendly
chat with her. Mum looks forward to their visits and is always pleased to see the carers. They will always sort out any problems she has while they are there.

Our father has been with Bluebird for a couple of years now, we cannot fault the carers or the office staff. They have all been very reliable and very caring towards our father. He enjoyed seeing the carers come in, someone to talk to and feel relaxed in their company. The office staff have been really
helpful, when we've needed extra call-outs etc., sadly Father is now in a home but he's loving it, and the girls come in to see him.

Our carer for my husband is superb. She is a 1st class carer who needs to him, talks to him and discusses books with him. She has become a member of the family. My husband is becoming more aggressive and is so helpful and also a support to me.

Bluebird Care looked after my dad twice a day for over 6 months. We found their service very caring and professional. The carers themselves and also the office staff were approachable, trustworthy, communicative and always on hand at the end of the phone or an email when we needed them. They were always
happy to go the extra mile, and the care notes and bookings system was also easy to use, really detailed and informative. Would highly recommend this professional local company to care for your loved one.

My mum needed care quickly and Bluebird came to assess her straightaway. Her care was provided by staff who were kind, efficient and knowledgeable. They occasionally had to deal with crisis situations, which they managed calmly and compassionately. It's not until you're in this situation with a loved
one that you realise how important the right care is by people you can trust. Bluebird are an excellent team, thanks.

Bluebird care have always been very supportive and flexible in response to the changing needs of my father. Their staff always had his best interests at heart. They were good at listening to him, cajoling him when necessary, and attending to his needs. He always looked forward to their visits. Being
able to view on the app the reports they made at each visit was at times extremely helpful.

Andrew has over 25 years’ experience in senior management roles and providing high-quality services to various customers throughout the Utilities and Financial sectors. Andrew moved away from corporate life to concentrate on doing something that would make a real, tangible difference to people’s lives. With a desire to run his own business that could have a positive impact on the community, Andrew joined the Bluebird Care national network in 2014 and opened Bluebird Care Rushcliffe & Melton.

Peter has been the driving force behind many positive developments in our mission to craft an outstanding care service which revolutionises the way home care is delivered to the local people of our community. Peter has a well-established professional background in healthcare, having started out as a healthcare assistant (Queen’s Hospital Burton) whilst working towards his BSc (Honours) degree in Biomedical Science, and then specialising in Diabetic Retinopathy within the NHS (Queen’s Medical Centre Nottingham). Since moving into the domiciliary care sector, Peter has attained a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and is now qualified to deliver training in Safeguarding, Basic Life Support and the UKHCA-approved Dementia Care programme.


Peter is dedicated to ensuring our service is Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led.

Helen joined Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton in its infancy and quickly instilled her own ethos of delivering exceptional care and support across the service, drawing upon a wealth of professional experience. Helen has enjoyed a prosperous career within the Health and Social Care sector spanning over 25 years. Having risen through the ranks, Helen started out as a care and support worker before being promoted to a senior carer, supervisor, and care manager. She is passionate about providing excellent customer service and creating a learning culture within the business that champions best practice and promotes an inclusive, friendly, and supportive atmosphere for staff and customers alike. Helen brings a myriad of knowledge and skills to the table, having attained her NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Management & Leadership and having worked with adults with challenging behaviour and learning disabilities over a culmination of 11 years. She is also integral to our in-house staff training programme, qualified to deliver training in Moving & Handling, Medication, Mental Capacity, and has an A1 Assessors Award.

Steph has been with Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton since its inception and has played an essential part in developing and growing the business. With a background in customer service, Steph has excelled in her role as coordinator by demonstrating that having a friendly, professional and honest approach are vital attributes required to establish a personable and trustworthy brand. Steph has a level 3 diploma in business administration and is experienced in the to-day-to running of the service, whether that be rota planning, providing emergency cover, or managing HR aspects of the business. Steph enjoys the variety and challenges her job role invites, and she feels privileged to have had the opportunity to be involved in the evolution of Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton right from the very beginning. Recognising the crucial role technology plays in providing person-centred care, Steph injects youth, energy, and innovation that will help keep us at the forefront of the new digital age of home care.
