Staff always friendly and treat Mum with respect and when possible have a nice chat with her. Office always helpful and able to cover any additional requests that I may have, some at short notice. Very happy with the overall service.

I am very happy with Bluebird Care and have been so since they began caring for my sister-in-law who is suffering with mixed dementia. I have come to trust particular carers who are dealing with a very vulnerable and elderly lady and know that I can depend on the headquarters to react appropriately
whenever the need arises.
At first, my sister-in-law was very reluctant to have the carers come to help her, but I am pleased to report that she has now come to look forward to their visits and in particular those that she sees often and has built up a good relationship with her. I have been grateful to carers who live locally and therefore, know the village and the facilities available in the area. There have been a number of occasions when carers have gone over and above what is normally expected of them and this is appreciated particularly as I live so far away and thus cannot react quickly in particular situations.
I look forward to a continuation of the service.

Dear Philip, thank you very much for taking the time to leave such kind feedback about our care service. It is touching to know that the carers have really helped make a positive difference to your sister-in-law's life and we trust that this will continue. All the very best and thanks again.

Communication to and from the office is quick and easy. Advice/help given when requested. The office staff are always polite and helpful. Carers are patient, understanding and caring and administer medication with care. Mum would find it helpful to have a weekly rota so that she would know who to expect
and when (am, pm and evening) although she understands that it would be subject to change (sickness or holidays).

Reply from Peter Bryan, Care Manager at Bluebird Care Rushcliffe & Melton

Thanks for your kind feedback. We're delighted to hear you're very satisfied with the level of care and support provided to your mum. This really means a lot to the care team. We take on board your comments regarding the rota schedule. As you know, we have a mobile app that allows you to view the live care visit schedule for the week and you always have the option of printing a screenshot of the rota privately if needed. Alternatively, as we appreciate your mum would struggle to call us, the carers could always write down the upcoming carers visiting.
Best wishes.

After living alone for several years Mum had an illness at home including a fall and went into a medical centre in March 2020. When Mum went home, Bluebird Care suggested a plan of care three times a day and we were reassured to see it working. As time went on, Mum was able to enjoy better food without
cooking and Bluebird also provided things like a home and fall alarm to call assistance if she fell whilst alone.
Mum is now less mobile, so Bluebird comes four times per day to include evening drugs. More recently she has moved downstairs to sleep due to avoiding routinely going up and down stairs. In parallel, Bluebird has helped me get repairs like electrical equipment and plumbing from qualified handymen to ensure the house is kept safe and reliable.
After further recent falls, her doctor has decided Mum needs to move into a care home. Mum has benefited, reaching her age in a secure and satisfied position. We owe Bluebird huge thanks for this dedication over the last three years.

Thank you very much for your wonderful review. It has been a pleasure supporting your mum on her journey over the past few years and we wish you both all the very best in this next chapter.

A massive thank you! Bluebird Care has looked after my parent's over the last few years, they have all been amazing. We were recommended to use Bluebird Care by a friend and were not disappointed. The carers really get to know the people they care for and their extended families too. They have gone
out of their way to accommodate their very different needs, this was especially noticeable with my mum who has Dementia. They are always on the end of the phone and the online system worked well for us, being able to check how the visits had gone and any problems my parents were having. I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone that would like a friendly, considerate carer to look after your loved ones.

I'm pleased to hear the online care notes/schedule system has also been of massive benefit. All the very best and thanks again.

Bluebird Care looked after my mum in her home for many years. The carers who went to my mum every day I felt really cared about her welfare and they became friends with my mum and me.
I would recommend Bluebird Care to anyone who needs help in their own home and cannot thank them enough for what they
did to help my mum until her passing in October.
All the carers were trustworthy and reliable and had my mum’s best interests at heart.

Bluebird looked after my mother for about three years. Initially with just a few visits per week increasing, as her health declined, to four times a day. Without their care, mother would never have been able to remain in her own home, her absolute dearest wish.
The care staff were brilliant. Kind,
compassionate and thoughtful. The office staff were always on hand to answer questions, adjust the care plan as needed and were truly flexible.
I have friends in other parts of the country that have huge problems arranging good, reliable home care for their relatives. I am so glad I found Bluebird. Hands down the best home care provider you are likely to find.
Thank you all so much.

The quality of care provided by the team at Bluebird has been and continues to be consistent and very responsive to Mum's ever-changing needs during the last 12 months.
Without the Bluebird team, Mum would not have been able to continue to live in her own place with their planning and caring help
this has been achieved and for that, I am most grateful.
On a few occasions when Mum has taken a fall or is unwell the carer has stayed beyond the specified time slot until myself or my sister have arrived.
This can be an hour or more so to know that Mum has someone with her until we arrive is very reassuring.
The phone app is an excellent way of keeping track of Mum's well being, eating, drinking, medication, showering, etc
The carers, office staff and the care manager are always polite, professional, reliable and caring.
Nothing is ever too much trouble and always go the extra mile.
So thank you Bluebird you all do a great job.

We got to the point where Mum needed a little extra care. We looked for carers online and contacted a couple to start with. We chose Bluebird as everything was easy to set up and the staff were efficient and friendly. We particularly liked the app which gave us information about visits and put our minds
at rest. Mum looks forward to her visits from her ‘ladies’ and gets exactly the support we asked for. We have peace of mind that she is well looked after and it offers some respite to family members. Bluebird are reliable and flexible and professional. We are very happy with the service.

My father-in-law lost his dearest wife last year. He wasn't prepared for it and with being 91 years old, it wasn't easy to rebuild his life. After all, his family and I live in Belgium and Covid has not made it easy for us. Since he preferred to stay at home, we had to seek help at home. Thanks to his
stepdaughter, who lives in the UK, we found help from Bluebird Care Rushcliffe & Melton. First for the household, later on for his medication, the main meals and the help with his personal care. During their shift, they chatted with him to make him feel at home. And with the well-known ups and downs in older people, including my father-in-law, they knew how to deal with it every day. I am so glad he received the best care he needed. These carers do their work with so much passion and commitment. In this all-new story, the care manager not only guided his staff, but also the family members involved. Thank you so much, they all deserve a round of applause.

Bluebird Care has provided excellent support and care for my 91-year-old mother with mild to now severe, dementia and they have delivered their services in the most supportive and excellent manner. The primary carer was outstanding, providing timely morning, lunchtime and evening services during the
most difficult of times - the pandemic. I would not hesitate in recommending both her and the Bluebird team for any type of care services project. The Bluebird team in the office were also outstanding with their responsiveness, understanding and ability to make any changes and handle any emergencies etc. Thank you for everything!

I cannot speak too highly about the care provided by everyone at Bluebird care. My elderly friend lived alone and being able to read the carers notes on a phone app, meant that I was always aware of changing conditions. The carers were so kind and considerate, even when my friend was a little tetchy.
They spent time talking to her and supported both her and me as her condition worsened. Nothing was too much trouble for the Bluebird care team. The carers gave up their dinner times etc to stay with my friend whilst we waited for specialist equipment or district nurses to arrive. I could phone their office anytime and they were always available to answer my questions and give advice. My friend wanted to remain at home during her final months and thanks to the wonderful care provided, she was able to die peacefully and pain-free in her own bungalow. They truly are a very special group of people.

Thank you for all your support along the way - she was very lucky to have you as a friend.

I have been very impressed by the care my mum has received from the team at Bluebird Care. They arrive as near the time given as possible and if there are inevitable delays, then they let us know. Even on their busiest shifts, they always have a smile and cheery word for Mum. I’ll often hear laughs
and high spirits coming from Mum’s room when the carers are here. They are very professional and always leave the room tidy, put any washing near the machine and generally go the extra mile. We never expected to have Mum come and live with us as she had spent the previous 18 months in a care home following a devastating stroke. But Mum improved so much we were able to bring her to live with us. Bluebird care helped us with this transition and we have grown in confidence together.

Bluebird Care Rushcliffe & Melton were tasked with looking after my father's care for an extended period. My father had never been an "easy man," however, his dementia and Alzheimer's had seriously exacerbated matters. I found the team, caring, reassuring and accommodating to his needs. They looked
after him and afforded the family the peace of mind that he was in great hands. They even took his deliveries and assisted in fitting appliances. They contacted me and returned all my messages promptly, professionally and displaying more than appropriate levels of care. I always felt confident that he was being looked after and would have no hesitation in recommending their services. Thank you, guys.

If you are looking for a care package for your loved ones then don’t look any further than Bluebird Care (Rushcliffe & Melton). Eight months ago we needed a care package for my Mum who was in the early stages of Dementia and just didn’t know where to start, so started trawling through reviews online.
Thankfully we came across Bluebird Care and they guided us through every step of the way, including any changes we encountered to ensure Mum’s safety and wellbeing. Without a doubt, the service we received at every level was exceptional. The quality of care my Mum received meant that she was able to continue to live at home, which was her wish. On a few occasions where she had a fall or was upset and confused the care staff comforted her and stayed with her beyond their agreed times until family were able to attend, we can’t thank them enough. Sadly my Mum passed away recently. Thank you to you all at Bluebird Care.

The quality of care provided to my mum has been consistently good and responsive to her changing needs. The team of carers are friendly and professional carrying out even the most personal tasks with compassion and respect for her dignity. There is no doubt that Mum would not have been able to continue
to live independently in her own home without the support offered by Bluebird carers. More recently Mum was taken ill and one of the care team made an unscheduled visit out-of-hours, to check back on her; following up on her intuition and showing a level of commitment above and beyond normal expectations. Overall based on our experiences I would thoroughly recommend Bluebird as a responsive, caring and thoroughly professional organisation.

Bluebird have looked after my mother for several years and I can honestly say that their continued, professional but personal care has been exceptional. Their priority to the care of my mum with respect and dignity is an example of how we can help our older generation keep their wishes and stay at home
when their health is not as it was.
The staff have always provided a high level of service and my mother had a close bond with many of them. Something we all hope for when putting the care of our loved ones in others' hands. As my mother's health deteriorated the carers continued to find ways to support her but, unfortunately, her medical needs means she has now had to move to a care home. I would wholeheartedly recommend Bluebird to anyone, they will work with you to understand individual needs and in the likely event that your needs change. You cannot ask for more. Thank you to all the staff and carers at Bluebird.
