The management and carers provided an outstanding and highly supportive care package that was delivered to meet the specific needs of the client with good humour and a high level of professionalism. I would strongly recommend Bluebird Care.

Bluebird carers have been involved with my stepfather (now sadly deceased) and mother for the approx the past three years. We wanted Mum and Stepdad living at home for as long as possible, it is only with the support of Bluebird Carers that we were able to do this. When Dad had to go into care, Mum
accepted input in her own right. Our families feel that the carers were excellent; reliable, sensitive to mum's needs, able to adapt to her somewhat challenging personality, and diligent at monitoring her health conditions and psychological state. They were good at recording online so every evening we could have peace of mind when reading the notes, and address any problems as they arose. She had a familiar set of regular carers too. When she broke her hip her carer went above and beyond to ensure she was safely cared for. Caring for people is a complex skill, and we had every respect and confidence in the carers, managers and admin staff. Gratitude and thanks.

Dear Helen, thank you so much for leaving such a positive and informative testimonial. Beaming reviews mean the world to our care team, and we'll be sure to pass on the feedback to those who cared for your late stepfather and mum over the years. We wish you, your mum, and the rest of the family all the very best for the future.

Bluebird initially provided domestic help and companionship to Dad for a couple of hours a week. As time went by he required more and more personal care and support, eventually needing four visits each day.
From the moment we contacted the Bluebird office we knew we had chosen the right support.
Dad looked forward to the carers’ visits and loved to hear their news. They were always professional and caring but friendly at the same time. I was always confident that he was being well cared for and was kept well informed of any concerns.
The support provided by Bluebird meant that Dad was able to fulfil his wish to continue to live at home - something I wasn’t sure was possible but nothing was ever too much trouble for any of the carers.
As a family, we had great peace of mind that Dad was happy in his own environment and was being well looked after. Thank you to each and every one of you.

Dear Bridget, thank you for your kind feedback, it really means a lot to us all here at Bluebird Care. The carers were very fond of your dad and felt privileged to get to know him. They certainly enjoyed caring for him over the past few years in order to help him remain living independently at home. We wish you and your family all the very best. Thanks again.

We entered Covid lock-down with a mother with dementia and a father growing increasingly frail, tired and confused and no care in place apart from visits from myself and my wife - we could no longer cope.
A mailshot informed us of the services provided by Bluebird Care.
I have been delighted by their
response. A lady came along to assess the situation and nothing seemed to phase her, she was full of confidence that everything could be improved.
We arranged for 4 visits a day, the carers were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, hard-working, efficient, reliable and compassionate. The time of visits changed sometimes in response to situations elsewhere, but they always turned up.
When needed they stayed longer with my parents such as when an ambulance was called. I appreciate this flexibility and care.
Unfortunately, my parents have deteriorated further and need to be in a care home
I have already recommended Bluebird Care and will continue to do so.

I'd firstly like to thank every one of you that has been involved in caring for my gran.
My gran thinks every member of staff that cares for her is wonderful. You all do an amazing job; it puts mine and my family's mind at rest, knowing my Gran is in capable hands.
All the staff make my gran happy
and settled. All the staff are extremely supportive at this worrying time.
Thank you again.

I have nothing but praise for Bluebird Care, its leadership, its top-class and professional carers. They have cared for my mum and dad for 5-years going from 5-hours a day to 12 as their conditions worsened. They both had Alzheimer's Disease. I could contribute and feel part of care planning because
I had access to the phone app. I could see daily records and keep in touch. My phone calls to my parents were better because I could refer to what they had been doing. The care team were always on time and always proactive in how they could respond to my parents' changing needs. Visits into the local community for coffee, village hall socials, visits to the doctor, chiropodist, hairdressers, shopping, and short walks. The care and eating routines were managed very well. There was a consistent care team of 8 carers (known as Bluebirds!). They were skilled, kind, and utterly professional. They showed real insight into Dementia. Bluebird Care added so much to my parents' lives and mine.

My mum's care was always of a very high standard. As her dementia progressed, she was at times challenging but the care she received was consistent throughout. Many of her carers went the extra mile supporting Mum and me as did the management who responded immediately when there was a crisis. Everyone
was very patient with me at all times.

I have been impressed over several months with the efficiency of the care staff and sensed a genuine concern for my mother and excellent rapport between the staff and my mother.
Without doubt my mother looked forward to their calls.
The service given was a very personal one and I would recommend Bluebird
without any reservation.

With the support of carers from Bluebird Care, my father was able to remain in his own home. They provided care twice a day, visiting in the morning to assist with personal hygiene, making the bed, general tidying and preparation of breakfast and a lunchtime snack The evening visit helped him prepare
for bed and preparation of an evening meal. Other duties included stripping and re-making the bed, organisation of all his washing, loading the dishwasher and offering social interaction. When it became necessary the visits were increased to 3 times a day and an afternoon outing once a week. All duties were approached in a professional manner, with particular care being taken regarding medication and health. As a family, we were notified if there were any health issues or concerns about him, or if there was anything unusual in his behaviour or problems in the home. We would have no hesitation in recommending the service provided by Bluebird Care.

Bluebird was visiting my mum (age 93) for four years. At the beginning, it was just social visits. As her Alzheimers progressed the care package was increased to four times a day. The duties included giving medication twice a day, heating up her frozen dinner and dessert, preparing a sandwich for tea,
personal care and dressing and help to get ready for bed in the evening. My mum was prone to falling and unable to get herself off the floor. Eventually, she seemed to lose the mental capacity to know how to use the telephone or what her lifeline (worn on her wrist) was for. It was felt that it was not safe to stay in her own home any longer. Unfortunately, she is now in a Care Home. During the four years, I felt that my mum was given first-class care. They were friendly and very caring and nothing was too much trouble. I think my mum really enjoyed seeing them. Two of the carers went way over and above their care duties. It gave me peace of mind knowing the Carers were going in.

I can't praise Bluebird Care Team enough; they enabled my father to remain at home, as he wished, and showed real care, flexibility and the highest level of professionalism in their approach. Everything - including details I might not have considered - was logged, tracked and monitored, and they were
quick to note any changes or potentials risks and were speedy in sharing concerns and altering his programme when his needs altered. The carers themselves were truly exceptional, and I know that he very much looked forward to their regular, punctual visits. Positive and upbeat in demeanour, they treated him with gentle respect and ensured that he enjoyed his final days as fully as possible, sharing his tales and jokes and ensuring that he ate a good, balanced diet. His main carer was exceptional; she ensured that he was taken to and from community events, noticed what needed adding to his shopping lists and was utterly committed to providing him with the best care possible.

I would like to say a big thank you to the carers for managing to get to Dad during the difficult weather conditions. I couldn't believe that all of his visits were covered. It shows how dedicated and committed your team are and was such a relief to myself and my brother, when we live so far away, knowing
that our lovely Dad was being looked after. When we first looked at Bluebird I looked at the CQC report. Re: responsiveness - working with you now, I'm surprised you weren't rated higher as our experience is that you do respond quickly and proactively to changing requirements e.g. liaising with the GP re: Dad's medication needing crushing, food needing blending/drinks thickening, suggesting the wheelchair for the table, organising hair/chiropody home visits, even helping with recommending and contacting a plumber, an additional grey wheelie bin etc. The carer always keeps us very well informed on all aspects of Dad's care. Thank you.

Three and a half years ago Bluebird Care took on the responsibility of being there and looking after my step mum on a regular basis. The carers, management and administrative staff provided excellent second-to-none tender, loving care which was professional, compassionate, reliable, friendly and attentive.
The family were kept fully informed both verbally and online using the PASS System (care note platform). Bluebird Care's experience and knowledge was invaluable and reassuring with an exceptional quality of care and assistance. The carers coped admirably when domestic challenges arose and went above and beyond their duty of care, especially in mum's final hours. Thank you.
