We have been so delighted with Bluebird - in every respect. they have surpassed our expectations. The carers are all super, so cheerful and supportive, whatever the task in hand, and the manager manages everything so efficiently. My dad didn't want carers but it was a necessity. Now he says 'what a
lovely group of people they are', and he looks forward to them coming. Bluebird have been brilliant for my dad, I can't recommend them highly enough.

Have appreciated all the carers I have had and the help from all the staff. Alway helpful & with a sense of humour. Following an accident I have found my Bluebird Care visits most helpful. For 8 weeks my regular carer assisted with tasks my temporary disability prevented me from doing. She did a great job providing support and encouragement at this difficult time. Since then she has offered cheerful companionship
as I returned to "normal".
Another impressive aspect of Bluebird is the way changes to regular care arrangements are handled. Communication is always friendly and efficient.

Every member of staff whom I've spoken to enjoys working for Bluebird which speaks volumes to me. If management treat staff with respect and courtesy of course staff treats clients in the same way. Contact with office: again we (clients) are treated very well.

My mam receives three calls per day from Bluebird Care. Her continuity of care is excellent. We leave notes for the Bluebird Care staff to read and they follow them without any problems. Cooking, cleaning and medication prompts amongst other tasks are carried out on all visits without issue.
Feedback
from my mam and I is that we wished that we had Bluebird Care in from the start. We would recommend Bluebird Care 100%.

The care and support our “Bluebird girls” provide is life-changing. Care is wholly client-centric. During enabling time Mam chooses what she does and where she goes, she chooses her own meals each day allowing Mam to maintain her independence. They ensure she takes her medication, is fed, watered and
safe in her own home. There are never any surprise visitors for Mam, she met the team before they started and any new team members come with someone Mam already knows first, which is really important as Mam suffers with Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer’s. They have also left photos of the team so that she can see and recognise them. Communication is excellent, not just with us, but among the team too which ensures a real continuity of care. I cannot speak highly enough of the Bluebird team. They have changed our lives for the better and their care will allow Mam to remain safely in her own home for much longer than she would without them.

Having used Bluebird Care previously, they were first choice when we needed respite cover so we could go on holiday. All agreed really quickly. Rang me before I went on holiday to confirm requirements. Everything went smoothly and they attended daily for washing and dressing. Would definitely recommend
to others. Staff really friendly and supportive.

Excellent care provider; friendly, helpful staff and management. My mum is very happy to be a client of Bluebird and their service provides me with reassurance that my mum's needs are being met. My father died recently and our Bluebird carers (2 in particular) couldn't have done more to comfort and care for my mother. She is disabled and not able to walk so rarely leaves the flat where she lives. Their care and support mean everything to her during this difficult time. As well as the carers
who are wonderful I'd also like to make a shout out to their manager who is always available to help and to help solve problems where she can.

The main carers are absolutely wonderful, words cannot do justice to their care, professionalism and the extremely high standards they always work to.
All the other cares who care for my mum have also been very good. Bluebird carers have literally been a lifesaver.

I find all aspects of my care very adequate. The staff and management are very accommodating. A little more flexibility in some areas would be appreciated e.g letter posting. I find both staff and management obliging and flexible within the agreed terms.

Bluebird Care Northumberland South is led by Wah Akram. Wah started delivering homecare in Northumberland South to help support customers in the area to receive homecare and support while remaining in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Delivering the highest quality of homecare and support is Wah’s absolute goal and the team would be delighted to hear from anyone who is seeking homecare for themselves or for a loved one, or would simply like to talk to someone about the services we provide.


I have lived and worked in the area all my life, gaining almost 20 years experience at all levels of customer care.


I decided to move into the care sector as I want to make a real difference to the lives of the people living in the community. Bluebird Care was the obvious choice for my business as I believe passionately in our mantra ‘a good old fashioned service'. When considering a care provider for my own loved ones, I would expect nothing short of the level of care which I would provide myself. Here at Bluebird Care we aim to deliver exactly that.


So how do I plan to ensure this? In the first instance by only recruiting carers and office staff who share the same ethos as Bluebird Care, and then providing excellent training and support. Staff retention, enabling continuity of care, is key for any care provider. This can only be achieved by a team, working in an excellent environment, where every member is encouraged to continually strive to be the very best at what they do.

I have worked in the care industry for over 25 years starting as a home carer working in the community, which I dearly loved. Working my way up through the roles of Care Supervisor and various other Care Manager and will be responsible for the day to day running of the business. I have a passion for delivering high-quality care, with a person-centred approach, to meet the needs of all of our customers.

I also bring with me a great deal of experience in the support, encouragement and management of a team. The training and development of all of our staff is very important to us and I will endeavour to encourage the team to be continuously looking for ways in which they can develop their expertise.

After a few years, I decided I would like to be based in the office.
