Carers in general very good but you do get the odd one who is below the standard of care that I require.

Further to my discussion with your son to establish on how we could make any changes to the level of service you currently receive so that you have a better experience. It was established that there were no real concerns. We will also arrange a review with our care manager so that she can come and see you just to ensure you are happy with the service or if you would like us to make any changes.

My mother has dementia and Bluebird Care have made a huge improvement to her life and have enabled her to stay in her own home. She was not keen on people coming into her home when we suggested she needed help but she now looks forward to every visit.
The carers and their manager are dedicated and
caring and they have done everything we have asked of them and more. I can rest more easily knowing that my mother is being well looked after and I would not hesitate to recommend Bluebird Care (Northumberland South).

I have been with Bluebird Care (Northumberland South) now for one year - they originally were used for domestic only. Since I always have the same carer who I now trust fully, I now allow the carer to help me with some physio which has improved my mobility and now I can get around better than I could
before. I am now looking at the possibility of using this provider to take me to doctors appointments as I am partially sighted. Overall an excellent service.

Service excellent but expensive, as I live outside your usual working area, so pay mileage charge!

We have used Bluebird for the last 3 years and continue to be pleased with the carers that provide the support for my mother-in-law.
They all attend on time which is excellent. My mother-in-law looks forward to them turning up. If there is to be any delay in them arriving, they ring her up and that
reassures her. She feels comfortable with the carers, and as there is a consistency of carers, she feels more comfortable with them, as any changes to her routine cause her anxiety. That gives us peace of mind.
Should I have any queries about the service, I know I can ring the Manager and it will be resolved.

My son has Bluebird Care once weekly for three hours. The carer takes him out to the gym swimming. The carer is very pleasant, professional and always on time. Bluebird Care are very approachable and easy to talk to. Would recommend them to everyone.

Very impressed with Bluebird Care (Northumberland South). They send the same care worker every week which is the continuity we were after. My mother in law needed some extra help around the house after recently being registered partially blind. The house is now spotlessly clean and she is very happy
with the care worker who attends each week who is always polite and courteous towards her.
I would recommend this provider 100%.

Bluebird Care provides support and home care to my mother, who is 92 and suffers from Alzheimer's Dementia.
I am eternally grateful to the team who visit three times daily. Over the past six months, the carers have built up an excellent relationship with my mother and she now looks forward to their
regular contact. I have also established excellent communication links with the carers and their manager. They regularly assess her needs and are proactive in contacting me to discuss any appropriate changes to the care plan.


The team are happy to change the schedule to fit with my mother's lifestyle. The high standard of patient/client centred care has enabled my mother to remain in her own home and so far avoid the alternative of residential care. They have also improved my own health and wellbeing as I am now confident that she is well cared for. I have ultimate confidence in their manager who is passionate about standards of care and always immediately contactable if any problems arise.

Thanks for taking the time to send in your comments. At Bluebird Care, we invest a lot of time and money into care assistants training and we also pay them well above the national minimum wage. This helps with the excellent continuity of care that we provide as we are able to keep our workers in the business. We employ supervisors and team leaders to support our staff and customers to maintain our high standards.
I hope you can appreciate that all of this comes at an added cost.

I would like to thank Bluebird Care for their continuity of care they have provided to my mam. We have had other providers come in to do domestic care but there were lots of different faces each week so we decided that we needed a change and we are so glad we did. From the very start they were very
professional and they have completed everything that we agreed in the care plan. Nothing was a problem for them.
They have invested in technology so that I am able to log into an APP on my phone and then I can see what has been completed each week without having to call the office how everything has gone. My mother is a very independent person and Bluebird Care have managed to be accepted into her house without any problems which is high praise indeed.
Overall a very good care provider who have won 2 awards with homecare.co.uk.
Their CQC report is also excellent.
Well done to everyone involved in my mams care and I would recommend them to everyone

My father in law had Bluebird carers looking after him during mealtime visits and overnight. Never once have we had any concerns with the care he received and the carers were always professional, polite, helpful and the care was fantastic, staying with him over their time if they had found him after
a fall. I would recommend Bluebird care 100%

Job Title: Owner

Bluebird Care Northumberland South is led by Wah Akram. Wah started delivering homecare in Northumberland South to help support customers in the area to receive homecare and support while remaining in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Delivering the highest quality of homecare and support is Wah’s absolute goal and the team would be delighted to hear from anyone who is seeking homecare for themselves or for a loved one, or would simply like to talk to someone about the services we provide.


I have lived and worked in the area all my life, gaining almost 20 years experience at all levels of customer care.


I decided to move into the care sector as I want to make a real difference to the lives of the people living in the community. Bluebird Care was the obvious choice for my business as I believe passionately in our mantra ‘a good old fashioned service'. When considering a care provider for my own loved ones, I would expect nothing short of the level of care which I would provide myself. Here at Bluebird Care we aim to deliver exactly that.


So how do I plan to ensure this? In the first instance by only recruiting carers and office staff who share the same ethos as Bluebird Care, and then providing excellent training and support. Staff retention, enabling continuity of care, is key for any care provider. This can only be achieved by a team, working in an excellent environment, where every member is encouraged to continually strive to be the very best at what they do.

I have worked in the care industry for over 25 years starting as a home carer working in the community, which I dearly loved. Working my way up through the roles of Care Supervisor and various other Care Manager and will be responsible for the day to day running of the business. I have a passion for delivering high-quality care, with a person-centred approach, to meet the needs of all of our customers.

I also bring with me a great deal of experience in the support, encouragement and management of a team. The training and development of all of our staff is very important to us and I will endeavour to encourage the team to be continuously looking for ways in which they can develop their expertise.


I believe this will meet and exceed the expectations for all of our customers and their families who live in our community.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and grandchildren.

I started caring from a young age for my grandparents, and I knew it was something I’d like to do as a career. I started my caring career when I was 18 working as a care worker out in the community. After a few years, I decided I would like to be based in the office. Since starting at Bluebird it has been a real challenge going from a carer to a care coordinator, but it was one of the best decisions I have made.


Outside of work, I spend my time with my son and family.

I started employment at Bluebird Care wanting a change in careers from my previous employment, the opportunity to work in an office and expand my knowledge in finance and administrational tasks was something that interested me.


From my time at Bluebird Care, I have completed Levels 2 & 3 in Business Administration. I would say I have a good connection with all staff and customers as I am often the first point of contact for anyone wanting to contact or visit the office.


I have also picked up a lot of different responsibilities from my time at Bluebird Care, this includes Invoicing, Payroll, Recruitment & keeping on top of our Social Media accounts and many more responsibilities.


Outside of work I like to socialise with my friends & family, I also like to watch & play football as much as possible.
