Bluebird Care Derbyshire Dales and Amber Valley provides a full and comprehensive range of home care services, including live-in care.

Live-in care support is also offered, providing an alternative to a residential home enabling people to remain within the familiarity of their own home but with full-time support and companionship, including the social aspects of eating a meal together and social outings.

It is the attention to detail that makes the difference and Bluebird Care enables the choice of bespoke support at home rather than moving to a residential home. With the extra support, many people have benefited from an improvement in the quality of their lives and are able to continue to do the things that they enjoy. Family members can relax and even go away, knowing that their loved one is well-supported at home.

Regarding their employees, Bluebird Care have a very experienced office team. Their care assistants are hand-picked, have an Enhanced DBS check and, 3 references. The team receives comprehensive induction training and regular ongoing training.

A notable feature of this provider is the level of support the team receives to ensure that they are carrying out their support to the best possible standard. All employees are paid above the Voluntary Living Wage rate and are paid for travel time.

Bluebird Care has provided an outstanding quality of service for my 96-year-old mum. This very well run agency sent a smallish, regular and very professional team to provide her with companionship and meal preparation. Mum really looked forward to the visits from the kind, compassionate, sensitive and
thoughtful carers. Each one of them quickly built up a strong relationship with her, taking special interest in her life and her specific needs. They always came with a smile on their face and nothing was ever too much trouble. We couldn't have wished for more and would like to say a huge thank you to each and every member of the team.

Bluebird Care Derbyshire Dales & Amber Valley have been caring for my mother for several years. At that time the guidance and support given by Bluebird Care Derbyshire Dales & Amber Valley was invaluable, as neither myself or my family had any previous experience. Over the past three years, the level
and frequency of care has increased with all members of the staff being most supportive and understanding at all times. I receive immediate feedback if a carer has any concerns with my mother and the team at the office are always helpful, should I have any queries regarding my mother's condition or the level of care being provided. For example, recently my mother had a fall and not only did Bluebird Care Derbyshire Dales & Amber Valley wait with her until the ambulance arrived but also arranged for additional visits within twenty-four hours, for which I was most grateful. Another key strength, amongst others, is the continuity of carers, meaning my mother feels safe and comfortable, which in turn provides me with the reassurance that she is receiving the best possible care when I cannot always be available.

Very good care; considerate and encouraging throughout. They have helped my father successfully recuperate after a hospital admission last March. With Bluebird Care's help and attention, he has successfully managed to recover at home. Excellent support for my elderly mother too. Highly recommended.

The Bluebird team looked after my mother for 6 months this year before she went into residential care. Both my mum and myself were delighted with the service she received. All the carers were friendly, efficient and very professional. All the care visits were on time and Mum's every need and wish was
catered for. She was treated with both dignity and respect. I was happy that Mum was being so well looked after in the comfort of her own home.

Bluebird have been providing care and companionship visits for my mother, who has Alzheimer’s dementia, for over a year now and I cannot recommend their service highly enough.
Without fail all the carers have been lovely individuals, always extremely caring, cheerful and kind and a pleasure to have
around. They are incredibly flexible and reactive to Mum’s needs and tolerate her often defensive demeanour with generous patience.
The whole team is thoroughly professional with excellent communication from the office team and very helpful daily written updates from the carers. The team has been quick to react to any problems or issues regards my Mum's well being, offering up practical and common-sense solutions. Without them and their support Mum would not be able to live the life she wants in her own home.

I am extremely satisfied with the care that Bluebird has provided for my 96-year-old mother, who lives alone, over recent years. Not only has the standard of care been outstanding throughout, but it has been very flexible to her varying needs and gone above and beyond what she asked for on many occasions.
As I am currently living 250 miles away I am dependent on Bluebird and have complete confidence in the services they offer.

Outstanding care and companionship was provided by a team of friendly, professional and cheerful carers. The service offered was outstanding; and the carers always arrived on time with a cheery welcome - adding a little joy to our lives at a difficult time. Bluebird were also able to 'step in' to provide
cover for night-time care when needed - often at short notice. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Bluebird Care for their professionalism and trustworthiness.

I needed care for two elderly neighbours, one for end of life care, the other for dementia. Bluebirds were totally professional from our initial meeting until unfortunately, the ladies passed away. When I needed extra care during the day and someone to sit overnight they did their utmost to help. Each

My husband and I have been very impressed with the quality of care and the professional approach Bluebird Care have shown my brother. The carers turn up on time, are friendly without intruding on our privacy and have been lovely with my brother. He looks forward to their visits.
Bluebird staff have
also been very helpful to us and have gone the extra mile to make sure we can still enjoy family life whilst looking after my brother.

I have been assisted by Bluebird for about nine months following significant plastic surgery operation - 1/2 hour visits, four weekly, personal care while showering. This report covers an exceptional period when my housekeeper would be away on holiday and perhaps longer. My next of kin, daughter, living
distantly arranged for her own peace of mind and overall level of care. Without exception, every carer appeared genuinely to want to do everything possible for me, and indeed, to 'go the extra mile'. Every day the carer would arrive ready to spend two hours doing whatever I wanted and they thought should be done to maintain high standards. I have been very favourably impressed.

My mother was receiving daily care visits from Bluebird Care for approximately 2 years and then switched to 24 hour live in care earlier this year, after having initially tried a different live-in care provider. I have always found Bluebird Care to be immensely helpful and they have always gone above
and beyond to help and support my mother. They are easily contactable, very friendly and very supportive of me as well as my mother. Highly recommended.

We've been using Bluebird Care since October 2018 (recommended to us by a neighbour). We are absolutely delighted with the quality of the care and the friendliness of the staff and carers. Each time we have an additional query, Bluebird are always quick to react and always find a solution to any problems.
They are experienced and gentle with our parents and my brothers and I are very grateful that they are so professional and easily accessible. We will soon be looking for a live-in carer and we will definitely be using Bluebird.

Bluebird Care provided care for the gentleman I was caring for over the past three years. Throughout the standard of care provided was first class. As much as the standard of care was the way in which they endeared themselves to the client, who during the period involved was living on his own. The visits
by the Bluebird personnel became both an important event for the client and a huge source of support for me. All problems and enquiries which arose from time to time were dealt with efficiently and I could rely on Bluebird progressing any matter which I requested them to deal with.

Rhiannon joined Bluebird Care as a Field Care Supervisor in June 2018, and progressed to Registered Care Manager by the end of the year. Having always wanted to work in social care, and after completing her level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, Rhiannon went to University and graduated with a BA Honours Degree in Health and Social Care. Rhiannon’s plan was always to work in Social Care and her hope and aim was to become a Registered Manager.

Jane began her career in care in 1995, working as an administrator in a care home; quickly developing her role and incorporating care skills to become Deputy Manager. Within this role, Jane developed a passion for delivering high standards of person-centred care. Jane went on to become Registered Manager of a Dementia Care Home, where she obtained a degree in End-of-Life Care and Long-term Health Conditions. Following this, Jane worked in a community-based role commissioned by the NHS, working alongside the Virtual Ward Team (community-based NHS professionals). This gave Jane great insight into how the community health teams operate and the services available to people living in the community.
