I have been using Bluebird Care since 2014. The carers are always prompt and not only attend to my needs but also conversation which I enjoy because I live alone.
Bluebird Care has also been very helpful when I have needed more time. This happens when I come out of hospital at short notice.
The office
always informs me if the usual carer has to be changed.

Bluebird Care has looked after my mother for over 3 years, assisting a lady that was bedridden. The staff have been kind and helpful and it is to their credit that my mother did not have bedsores in this time. The office back up is supportive to the staff and the customer. On the odd occasion when
there is a hiccup with arrangements, it is sorted out courteously and with a sensible practical view by the owners. Although the rates may be higher than some agencies, I think it is worth paying for nice carers.

Bluebird Care is providing cover one evening a week for my husband who has advanced dementia, mainly affecting his ability to communicate or understand language. I am pleased that the agency has managed to keep the number of different Carers down to three, enabling him to build up a close relationship
with each of them. They have all proved to be very much the sort of person one would choose to care for a loved one.....reliable, cheerful, friendly and empathetic. He obviously enjoys their company, and they all cope extremely well with the difficult task of keeping him entertained. During the most recent evening, my husband was unexpectedly struck by a stomach upset and had vomited shortly before my return. I found his carer cleaning up and coping efficiently and sympathetically with the situation. My husband then spoke one of his rare comprehensible sentences...."She's wonderful!"

Bluebird Care have been providing care for my mum for over a year now. We are very pleased with the service they have provided. The carers are respectful of mum’s property and home and treat her kindly and with dignity. The office staff are friendly and approachable. This company provides everything
you could wish for to provide for your relative. There has been numerous occasions where the carer has done that little bit extra to make sure Mum is well cared for. The communication between the carers, office staff, Mum and myself has been superb.

Bluebird carers were, from the beginning, kind, courteous, respectful and flexible, adapting to suit changes in my mother's abilities. It was a huge help to have them visit and lighten the load on my father who was her main carer.
An absolutely first class team. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

From the outset contact with Bluebird Care has always been excellent. The initial visit was positive and gave my mother confidence that all would be dome to help her.
She always speaks very highly of the staff who visit and she is very happy that because of this care she can remain in her own home
whilst I am away on holiday. Because of this, I can go away with a peaceful mind.

My Mum is an 'interesting' character. She has moderate Alzheimer's but refuses to acknowledge she has any memory problems and lives alone. We were only just managing to support her ourselves until she was diagnosed with Diabetes. We managed to get one of the managers in to assess my Mum under the
pretence of being a family friend and got a care package in place. There were initially a few issues with her letting the carers in but now everything is settled. We have carers once a day to provide a meal and medication. I cannot speak highly enough of the whole team from the managers to the carers and I have to say a special thank you to the carer who I often see and is always singing and laughing with my Mum. I work in Healthcare myself and am completely impressed with the professional nature of this organisation from the management team, record keeping and medicine dispensing.

If you are looking for an excellent care agency in Belper you need to look at Bluebird.

High standard of caring. Very helpful friendly staff, able to deal with my mothers changing moods due to her dementia. Mum was very happy in their company. Tried to take her out to varied places she would like and enjoyed her meals out. Very obliging with extra hours/days at short notice. We will miss
them.

For a son, the care his Mum enjoys is pretty important to him when he can't always be there. Your choice of carer, therefore, needs to be really well thought through and researched. You initially select a carer, you do all the research, but you never really know how well they will perform and whether
they will match your high expectations.
My Mum was cared for by the Bluebird care team from the first point she needed a single, brief, call once a day to the end when she was having 4 thorough calls each day - She received care that, I would suggest, is pretty much as good as it gets. As my mum was in early stage of Dementia, she and I very much valued the consistency of her seeing a small, dedicated team of carers which meant she never had the anxiety of having to deal with faces she didn't recognise - This isn't easy to deliver, but Bluebird did all these amazing things for my mum from the beginning to the end when she passed away age 90 in January. They are just simply the best.

Reply from Susan King, Director at Bluebird Care Derbyshire Dales & Amber Valley

Thank you, John. It was a pleasure to support your mum and it worked so well working together with you. We miss you both.

Mum has carers three times a week in the mornings - the carers are polite, friendly, and helpful. They are flexible, i.e. if we suggest places for them to take mum to visit or things she needs buying, they are more than happy to accommodate our wishes. They are very responsive on email and very clear
in instructions. The director, in particular, he has been extremely helpful in setting up the arrangements with us for mum and always enquiring how she is etc. We are very happy with Bluebird Care. Thank you.

Bluebird has been providing care for my mother who lives with myself and my wife since her stroke 2 1/2 years ago. She is unable to stand or speak and needs full nursing care. Bluebird provides 4 double 1 hour calls per day and also companionship for my mother particularly when my wife and I are on
holiday.
I was involved in drawing up the Care Plan before care started and in revising it as her needs have changed. Bluebird put in a lot of effort to understand her complex needs.
The carers are well trained, friendly and cheerful. They take the time to understand her non-verbal communication and are flexible in responding to my mother's varying needs if there is time helping out with washing, washing up and cleaning. They can be left to care for her without much input from me, providing a much-needed respite.
My mother has slightly improved over the period, which has in no small part been due to the quality of care provided by Bluebird.
I would not hesitate in recommending them.

I am 91 years of age and live alone.
Because of poor mobility, due to arthritis, I have used Bluebird Care for the last 3 or 4 years. This enables me to stay in my own home.
A carer comes in each morning to help me wash and dress and at other times to take me to the doctor, dentist or shopping.
The
carers are kind, efficient and carry out their work in a most respectful manner.
They encourage me to do as much as I can myself so that I still have some independence.
I am very satisfied with the service I receive from Bluebird Care.

Living alone, I very much appreciate a daily 'safe and well' check and occasional help with tasks I now find difficult in day to day housekeeping. I also look forward to getting out once a week for local trips or appointments and find the companionship of all the carers invariably cheerful and supportive.
