Home instead is everything we had been looking for. An incredibly personal service and the care taken in choosing the perfect carer was phenomenal. They listened so carefully to the brief and were highly sensitive to a delicate situation whereby my parents were reluctant to accept that they needed some
help. The carer came in as a housekeeper and gently started doing a few jobs with my mother and is rapidly morphing into the companion and friend that we need long term. It is an exceptional organisation and all of our family couldn't be more grateful.

This service is a prime example of the adage; you get what you pay for. Helpful, cheerful, friendly assistance coupled with real reliability. These helpers say that they will take on any reasonable task that one may need, this lot really mean it.

Home Instead (Fareham and Gosport) have been supporting my mother to remain living independently in her own home full-time since September (and less frequently for a number of months before that).
We have found all the caregivers fantastic with Mum. They not only make sure she is fed and safe but also
take the time to do lovely things with her, from taking her for a walk or out around the charity shops (her favourite) to running a bubble bath (and keeping an ear out whilst she enjoys it) or doing her nails.
It's been such a smooth transition from occasional to daily care, and Mum really looks forward to the visits. She doesn't yet need personal care, but I am confident that should the time come, she would be able to accept it from any one of the team, all of whom she is really fond of.
It's such a relief to have their support, and particularly, knowing they will listen and respond to any changes needed. I really can't recommend them highly enough.

It took us a while to find the right care agency to take care of my parents.
Home Instead was more expensive than most but was worth every penny. My parents liked the carers who came and Mum was soon happy to let them deal with her personal care needs. I was relieved that the carers spent time getting
to know my parents and were regularly able to feedback any concerns to us. Always punctual and stayed the allocated time. We too felt supported and I can't speak highly enough of the whole service, carers or management.

A team of nine excellent carers has been supporting my father at home since he returned there after several months of convalescing in a nursing home. He is delighted with their support, without which he could not live at home on his own, and they have helped him become more independent. Thoroughly recommended.

All the carers that came were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were all keen to help and do anything to make things easier for my wife. They are not doing this just as a job, but they really care. They also arrived exactly at the agreed time and left when we were happy we didn't need
anything else. First-class - 10 out of 10.

I can't praise the carers enough. Happy - friendly - professional - kind - caring - made all the difference to my recovery after a major operation. There when they said they would be and no job too much trouble. One big thank you to all at Home Instead (Fareham and Gosport).

We were made aware of Home Instead by a friend who works in a private hospital and spoke highly of their services.
After telephone conversations and a meeting we opted in the first instance for “companion“ care which suited Mother's needs very well.
Sadly her physical condition deteriorated and working
closely with Home Instead and Mother's wishes a more complex plan was agreed upon.
Throughout this transition Home Instead as a team showed fantastic compassion, commitment and professionalism during what is, for a family, difficult times.
From the managing director to the “caregiving” team and everyone involved the way that they conduct themselves is exemplary.
Please do not hesitate if you find that you have a need for them. You will not regret it.
Thank you all at Home Instead.

Home Instead (Fareham and Gosport) have provided excellent care for my mother since she came out of hospital. The management have always been professional in setting up their service and flexible when it's needed to be changed. The staff have been trained to assist my mother with her medication and
a specific need which previously they hadn't encountered with an older person before. They always listen, are helpful, considerate and understanding.

Home Instead (Fareham & Gosport) were recommended to me by my elderly Mother’s neighbours. The initial plan was for Mum to have care once a day for an hour. On the first day, Mum had to go into hospital, not related and was there for two weeks. However, the whole team were incredibly supportive and
helped get everything in place for Mum to come home. They were also able to re-adjust the care package at short notice to provide additional support which has continued since. Having the care givers team going in everyday has given me huge peace of mind as I live one hundred miles away and with visiting being difficult during the pandemic. The individual carers are all amazing and keep Mum safe, watered, fed and entertained. They keep in touch with me regularly and nothing is too much trouble. I just asked Mum what she thinks and her response was ‘how kind and caring they all are’. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking for home care, they do a brilliant job.

Home Instead (Fareham and Gosport) delivered a fantastic response when we needed help quickly over a Christmas period. The carer visited Mum whilst she was temporarily in a care home and he seemed to instantly win her trust, not easy to do. They put together a bespoke care team very quickly, even including
some recruitment. The care givers have developed really good relationships with Mum and she looked forward to their visits.
If an individual did not manage to develop a good relationship, the situation was addressed with speed and sensitivity. In moments of concern, the care givers have routinely gone the extra mile to serve Mum's best interests. Residual concerns are always passed back to the office and the office team will not rest until they have been able to resolve the problem or discuss options with me. Their approach is to treat the client as though they were a family member and I have seen just how real this is in both directions. More expensive than some but we have seen the value.

A close friend of mine has had carers from Home Instead (Fareham and Gosport) for a few years and has always received excellent care. Over the last few months, the care package changed to a live-in carer, as my friends health had deteriorated a little further. March was exceptionally busy for my friend
and Home Instead (Fareham and Gosport). One live-in carer departed early March and one was a stand-in for a week, whilst the replacement live-in carer was unfortunately ill for a few days. The replacement live-in carer joined a week later. Home Instead (Fareham and Gosport) were very pro-active with their interviews for the live-in carers and kept me well informed. Interviewing multiple applicants was very time consuming for Home Instead (Fareham and Gosport) but I have been very pleased with the people taken on to support my friend. Their office staff are as keen to assist as the carers, in trying to make sure that my friends quality of life is the best possible, keeping me updated about their various interactions with the NHS, which is a weight off my mind.

My father is living alone at home with dementia. It is because of the support of the team of carers who look after my dad, that this is possible. They each go above and beyond to ensure my dad is well looked after and happy.
They prepare and cook his meals, assist him with his personal hygiene, assist
him to get dressed. They ensure his house is clean and tidy...and so the list continues.
I cannot fault the care given to my dad and while doing all of this the carers are bubbly and cheerful and take the time to chat and laugh with my dad which is exactly what he needs.
I would highly recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for home care for themselves or a loved one. The staff in the office are always friendly and approachable and if I have any concerns I know they will do anything that's needed to support us.

The team at Home Instead supported my mum through some pretty dark times whilst she cared for my father. He was in late stages of dementia and Mum herself was quite poorly with COPD.
The team were always in constant contact with me and since I had a full-time job it was a huge relief to me knowing
they were on hand to help. They responded incredibly fast when we had to change the care plan and never once made us feel as though we were awkward clients. They even stepped up to help when we had to involve social services when Dad's behaviour was beyond us all. They never left Mum if they felt Dad was more agitated than normal, even if they reached the end of their scheduled visit.
We couldn't have managed 2020 without them. I couldn't recommend the team at Fareham highly enough from the office team to carers themselves, all excellent.
