Home Instead Fareham and Gosport is rated as outstanding by CQC (Sept 2019).

Home Instead specialises in companionship based support to enable people to remain living independently in their own home. The services range from personal care to home help to assisting with everyday tasks including shopping, errands, accompanying clients to appointments or simply someone to offer friendship and support.

They have a particular expertise in supporting people living with dementia. They have a unique City and Guilds accredited dementia training programme that underpins their practical experience and enhances the professional knowledge of the caregiver team.

All services are bespoke; clients are matched to caregivers to provide the foundation for a relationship and the same caregiver remains with the client. Clients are always introduced to caregivers and would never receive a visit from someone they had not met.

Home Instead understands the importance of spending time supporting clients on a social and emotional level as well as assisting with a range of day-to-day activities.

Home Instead has been supporting my sister, who has Parkinson's, since 2017. From the very start they involved my sister, myself and her close friends in planning her care and drawing up a detailed care plan, which is regularly reviewed, and communication has always been excellent. My sister's needs
have gradually increased and Home Instead has always been able to increase her level of care, to the point where she now has a live-in carer, with extra care for short periods during the day. The standard of care has always been excellent, and the carers totally reliable. The whole organisation is 100% professional, and all staff unfailingly friendly and helpful. The managers are extremely proactive, tirelessly working behind the scenes, liaising with health professionals (both in the community and in hospital when my sister has been an inpatient), and never failing to go the extra mile. I have total confidence in them, and everyone at Home Instead, and cannot praise them highly enough.

I am honoured to be able to write this review for such an incredible team of carers at Home Instead Fareham.
My family have been with Home Instead for approx 10 years or so. My grandfather was looked after first at home until he needed to be in a care home for nursing needs, and then unfortunately,
my Mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and needed care.
The team are incredible, the office staff and the carers. They have supported me in difficult decisions for my Mum's care, and they treat your loved one as a family member. They have taken so much stress off my shoulders in taking care of my Mum, seeing to practically everything and just leaving me to take care of the bills. It means when I see my Mum I am able to spend quality time with her.
In this current unprecedented time of COVID 19 - I am so grateful to have Home Instead looking after my Mum. They are taking such great care to protect her, and when we do the 8 o'clock clap on a Thursday - I am clapping for them.

Home Instead (Fareham and Gosport) are providing an excellent and reliable care service for my Mum which has enabled her to remain in her home. The continuity of regular CareGivers has allowed Mum to develop good relationships and she looks forward to their visits. All her CareGivers are extremely kind
and caring and I am so grateful for the way that they have adjusted to Mum’s changing care needs with total professionalism and respect. The office staff are friendly and helpful providing a good link between us and her CareGivers. Knowing that Mum is being so well looked after by such a caring team, gives me and the rest of our family great peace of mind - We thank you.

My parents have been supported by a designated team of caregivers for about 18 months, the wonderful thing is that it has been the same three ladies throughout. They not only provide personal care for my father but they provide emotional support for my mother too. They found it difficult to accept the
need for care but I know they could not be without them now. Their exceptional care has enabled my father to return to independence. For my family, their ongoing support is invaluable and allows us peace of mind. They are always kind, caring and positive and seem to go the extra mile for them. We cannot thank the caregivers and wider-team enough. This is truly how care should be at home where they want to be.

I have used Home Instead services for my elderly mother for several years. The carers who visit have all built a lovely relationship with her (and me) and I view them as partners in her care. I particularly like the one-hour visits (it gives mum companionship as well as help) and the fact a team of
carers is set up so every visit is made by someone she has got to know, well. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company. As well as the brilliant carers, the support staff in the office, are friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The company conducts regular reviews and are very open to suggestions about changes to the service as mum's condition changes. I have recommended Home Instead to several families looking to bring in help for elderly relatives and will continue to do so.

From our initial enquiry with Home Instead in summer 2019 to March 2020, we have received an efficient, caring and flexible care package for my mum to stay in her home where she chooses to be but does need help to do so now. Carer visits have been adapted and the carer team have worked very well not
just to assist mum with her everyday life but to support and re-assure me when difficulties have occurred and been dealt with in a kind considerate and dignified way. We all know how difficult it was to travel through the month of March under the extreme circumstances the coronavirus brought to us all. Home Instead have maintained a superb service and have covered additional tasks to enable us to stop additional visitors and keep mum and the team safe from risk as far as is possible in these uncertain times. I have great confidence in letting people know how reliable and committed the team are to enabling mum to stay at home. Thank you so much for all you do and for keeping me fully informed.

Our family have now had Home Instead looking after the needs of our father for the past three years. Home Instead have acted above and beyond the expected, with the most professional care, which has taken a lot of stress from the family, but if any problems should arise Home Instead will always contact
the family and solve it the best way for all concerned. We are extremely pleased with the ladies that give our father and us peace of mind he is being looked after by the best.

The carers are all excellent ladies who do all they can to make life more pleasant. I haven't one thing that needs doing that they do and more. I would certainly recommend them to anyone. They treat me so well all the time and also spend time having a chat. I cannot praise them enough. You are so lovely
