Right at Home Brentwood, Billericay & Havering is an established, award winning, locally owned and operated provider of high quality home care.
It provides clients with tailored care plans to ensure that their individual needs and preferences are met from the comfort of their own homes.

The service provided is one of great flexibility and can be adapted according to the needs of clients on a short term or long term basis.

Right at Home Brentwood, Billericay & Havering provides the appropriate visit times throughout the day, seven days a week so that care can be provided in a positive and supportive manner, maintaining clients’ dignity and independence.

CareGivers work to make a difference to the lives of everyone they provide care for. They are carefully chosen through a highly selective process of pre-screening, personal interviews, DBS checks (criminal records) and reference checks. All carers also undertake intensive training and shadowing with experienced carers before they can start caring for clients.
CareGivers are introduced to clients before they commence care with their clients to ensure there is mutual compatibility, and continue to receive further training, refresher training and personal development on an ongoing basis.

My husband has Alzheimer's and diagnosed end of life in February, when he could no longer do anything for himself. The carers have been brilliant with him, encouraging him to try and do things and sharing his sense of humour. They are so kind and gentle but also very efficient. Thanks to them he is
now managing to stand with help and is able to shower again. They have also been very supportive to me, helping me to make or change the bed and see to his clothes. They have made my life much easier as a result. I feel we are working together to look after my husband. Initially, I wasn't sure what to expect from carers. One hears such awful stories but I couldn't have wished for better help and can thoroughly recommend Right at Home.

The carers are all excellent, caring and knowledgeable, reassuring and resilient. We have had good continuity of carer coming in to help dad at night. The care plan is personal to dad and gives a picture of him as a person with a long life of achievement to be proud of. The management have been very
responsive as our need has changed and always introduce new carers to us. I have confidence that the staff are well trained and supervised as the office keeps in touch with me.

John Walsh

Owner John Walsh recognised the need for better care services and knew that he wanted to deliver the same promise as Right at Home – ensuring that clients’ dignity, independence and well-being remained a top priority at all times.


Nice to meet you! I opened Right at Home (Brentwood, Billericay and Havering) in 2014 with an aim to help people improve the quality of their lives by providing high-quality care to adults in their homes and their local communities.


I am married to Zara and have two daughters who attend a local school. Zara served as a police officer in the local community for many years before being medically retired with Multiple Sclerosis.


My motivation to change career and to become involved in providing care to the elderly and people with disabilities was very personal, based on my experiences with my Mother who benefited significantly from the home care she received, and my experience of living with a loved one with a disability.


It can be overwhelming to decide on the best thing to do when someone close to us needs care and we naturally want them to receive the very best level of care. With this in mind I am confident that by joining Right at Home, my care team and I will be able to provide a very high standard of care to all of our clients. Through our personalised services, you can be assured our clients will receive the care and attention which they deserve.


Prior to joining Right at Home, John had a senior leadership role in the services sector and is passionate about working very closely with clients to understand their real needs to deliver a high-quality service based on individual choice.

My name is Marie Gower I worked in London for several years, then after having children wanted to work closer to home. I started my career in care around 10 years ago working as a domiciliary caregiver. I have worked my way from Carer to Field Care Officer, Care Coordinator and Care Manager. I now quite proudly sit as Registered Manager at Right at Home Brentwood, Billericay & Havering.


By working my way through different care roles, I have found that I am able to manage, train and provide the best possible care in the safest and well-led way in which all our clients' carers deserve.
