Overall Experience

Before we selected Right at Home for the care of my mother, we used another agency but for a number of reasons we switched to Right at Home. Once bitten, twice shy, is how we approached engaging Right at Home, but we needn’t have worried. Everyone from office staff to carers were considerate and did

what was best for Mum. They were there for her right to the end of her life and we will be recommending them in the future.

Overall Experience

My mother became ill just after Christmas 2018 and in January 2019 she ended up in hospital for nearly the whole month. Upon her going back home she needed care and I was recommended Right at Home by a friend who had used them for her mother. Well, right from the start they were excellent with their

care for my mother, and what is more important my mother loved the carers. Mum died in late September, whilst in hospital, but the carers were there for her to the end and several came to the funeral, which I and members of the family thought was going beyond the call of duty. If you are looking for a care company, I can only recommend Right at Home 100 %.

Overall Experience

With the excellent care from Right at Home, we were able to keep my mother in her home for a few months.
The carers looked after my Mum very well. They remained calm at all times when she could be quite aggressive and even a bit scary. They did their very best and I could not have asked for more.
The

weekly reports I was sent by email were invaluable giving me a great insight into what situations were being presented and how they were being dealt with.
Overall a great service with excellent caring staff.
I would highly recommend them.

Overall Experience

Mum was very well looked after by the staff from Right at Home. They were efficient but also caring.
I found the office staff to be particularly helpful and informative and, being so close to my home, it made life so much easier to be able to pop in any time.
We only used the service for a short

time because we took the decision to move mum and dad to a nearby care home as their needs became greater. However, during that time we were very pleased with the service provided.

Overall Experience

The 2 carers/companions we have are fantastic with my dad. They do the basic care well - and a lot more. One of the carers has shaped my dad's behaviour so that he responds to her verbally and uses his hearing aid whilst she's with him. She is really good at making him laugh. The other carer has

taken my dad out in his wheelchair - around the block and on the tram - when the weather was good. He doesn't rush my dad and even used his own time to care thoughtfully for my dad - such that we chose to extend his paid time.

I have been cared for by staff from Right at Home for approximately 6 months.
Being a disabled 43 year old with a family, it is important to me that I am still treated as someone with still many ambitions but life is just more complex being chronically ill. Right at Home staff and management understand

this and they make every effort to adapt to my needs, they make sure my care is on time and I’m always consulted if any changes need to be made to the times of my care. They also understand if I need care at certain times. I have many complex care needs and Right at Home took time to make sure they understood all the care I would need. My carer treats me with sensitivity, she anticipates what I might need before I ask and makes me laugh and smile. Everyone I speak to on the phone is friendly. I am really happy with right at home, and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for care but especially to a younger person with a family like myself, they have been brilliant!

Overall Experience

I'm very pleased to have had carers from Right at Home Croydon. The care has been extremely good in every way. I've enjoyed the meals cooked by them and I've never had to worry about anything as they do everything I ask of them and do it all very well.
I shall certainly be having them again when the

time comes (knee op) I was never let down with all the bad weather. It's taken the worry of the family to be so well looked after.

Overall Experience

In the last 5 years, I have used three different agencies for the care of my husband. At last Right at Home (Croydon) who I have used for the last year provide the best care I expect for my husband. The carers actually care and are reliable. Usually, they are well trained and given sufficient time to

complete their tasks. They are punctual and keep me informed of any changes. There are understandable a few hiccups due to illness or holidays, but I would recommend Right at Home (Croydon).

Care staff are always introduced prior to the first visit.
Carers are prompt, caring and cheerful. They check the needs of the client and allow the client to do what they can for themselves. They are always cheerful and polite.
Office staff are always polite and notify you of changes generally as

soon as possible.
Carers and clients rotas do not always tally and may not arrive prior to the first visit of the week (although this may be down to the postal service).
Generally, a very good service which I would be happy to recommend to anyone.

My dad has been a care recipient from Right at Home Croydon for six months now. They have made such a difference to his overall quality of life and have helped him to achieve his goal of staying at home (safely). He is very fond of his carers, and in fact refers to them as his 'visitors' and friends.

They take very good care and have encouraged him to be a little more independent. His carers have encouraged my Dad with his clothing. My dad used to love clothing and was always well dressed however once my mum died, he lost interest in his appearance. They actively encourage him to make choices about his clothing and appearance and I am forever commenting on how smart he looks (even his grandsons say he looks dapper). One of the carers has introduced my Dad to gardening which is something he had not done before - he now enjoys it (surprisingly). Carers play dominoes and cards with him. For me as his daughter it has allowed me to enjoy spending time with my dad as I don't visit him to undertake household chores or worry about his care anymore. I see him for a cup of tea and a chat like we did when mum was alive. My family home feels like a lived in family home again. My dad is very happy and content in life. Although he was reluctant to accept the help - he wouldn't change it for the world now. I believe Right at Home stepped in and gave my dad a new lease of life!
