The carers who come into my home to care and support my relation are wonderful. As my relation lives with me I have been overseeing the work that they do, I find them caring, and compassionate and they treat my loved one with tremendous dignity and have always done so over the years. Care staff are
undervalued in the care system. We cannot be without the care that they do.
The management has always been there for my loved one and me and they have gone above and beyond. They're like an extended part of our family and the manager and owner of Haven is always there if needed.

Most of the care workers who come to attend me are very, very good. They help me a lot and encourage me to do things for myself whilst they watch me and help me if necessary. Regarding the management/managers, I am not very impressed what the way they run things. I can very rarely get hold of the responsible
individual. I believe that the girls could be treated and paid better than they are. The girls are always helpful and friendly.

Thank you for taking the time to bring your experiences to our attention. It’s great you are very happy with your carers. Our aim is to provide you with the best possible care. I agree wholeheartedly the carers deserve much better pay, this is something we believe we are championing. As we are mostly funded by council and health boards, we have access to limited funds available. We believe we are doing our utmost to ensure the carers receive as much as possible; as one of the highest-paying providers - we also provide carers with Private Healthcare. Plus, a paid day off for their birthday. I am happy to reach out privately with you to discuss your experiences and how we can continue to improve. I apologise if you feel your experience of contacting me as Responsible Individual have not met your expectations. I wish to reassure you, we have a skilled team of supervisors who support as first point of contact. I hope to find out how I can improve awareness of contacting me, where needed.

I cannot find the words to describe how grateful and thankful we were to all the staff at Haven Home Care, your dedication and care of Mum were second to none. You cared for Mum with such genuine compassion, kindness and dignity. Without your special care, it would have not been possible for her to
continue being at home with family who loved her so much. I know Mum could be stubborn at times which made it difficult for the girls to care for her but they showed nothing but kindness to her. She would laugh and smile with them. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. There were issues at times and positioning, we appreciate there was a 20-minute slot before and after the dedicated time but at times could be over one hour late.

Haven supply a sitter for my wife, who suffers from dementia, on a Saturday afternoon. This great service allows me a much-needed break. The sitter that Haven supply is very friendly and my wife feels very comfortable and safe in her company. I cannot thank haven and the sitter enough. Their service
is of the highest standard.

Care provided is of very good quality. The only complaint I have is the inconsistency of timing ie: there can be a difference of 2 hours in times, especially in the evening when the variable can be from 6:30 pm to as late as 8:30 pm, our ideal timing would be 7/7:30 pm. My wife can get very irritable
at this time and starts to undress herself or attempts to. At this time I am usually in the kitchen attending to chores, so it can be frustrating.

Very friendly staff that are always chatty. Care staff support me to continue living at my own home. Without their support, this would be impossible. Calls are timed and this can sometimes be tricky as carers cook/warm meals-support with toileting and medication which can feel rushed in 20 minutes and
doesn't allow for anything to be freshly prepared. So food can be boring and repetitive as only ready meals, sandwiches or soup is suitable within the time allowed.

I understand and appreciate your thoughts in relation to timed visits, unfortunately, that is the current model of domiciliary care across the nation; however, there is a new outcome focussed approach being piloted by our local authority, which we are all hopeful will improve the structure of how domiciliary care is delivered. That said, with the scale of the demand for Social Care and the limited workforce across the country. The challenges we all face are, trying to meet the support and care needs of our community with the resources our sector has available and this currently can only be achieved with timed visits assessed and granted by your social worker. My experience with Haven Home Care has been good although there has been a large turnover of staff lately and changes in call timings, some of which were not notified but obviously the service is under pressure at the moment.

Very disappointed with the care my father received. This company stepped in not long after my mother passed away. We read some reviews and we thought we'd give them some chance/hope. The first few weeks everything was fine, calls happening on the times agreed, but as the weeks went on, so did call times,
there were numerous times where they would phone and say they couldn't come until much later than the time agreed.
We also had a few run-ins with the staff due to the unprofessional support they gave my father, even having one saying how high do you want the pillow, over your face? I reported this to the senior/management but it got swept under the rug, still the same carers coming to the home. A part of the package was to clean after routines. This didn't happen, most often or not, nothing was cleaned after them leaving dirty items on the bathroom sink.
If you want honest, proper carers I would avoid Haven Care.

Only one word I can use for you all is excellent, that's why I have stayed for 26 months after leaving the Council who would not take me back. I'm glad I'm with you as you are more caring than other companies and the boss will come out to work with the girls, not just stay in the office.

My husband and I would like to thank the caring staff who looked after mum over the past three years. Having reached her 90th birthday she had a fall and was unsteady and in need of care. Haven provided us with the reassurance we needed as we live so far away in Yorkshire. Mum was cared for in so many
ways, her health and well being monitored with the team contacting us when necessary. We met several members of the team and each had their special relationship with mum who looked forward to their visits.
Thank you to each one of you. Sadly mum passed away in March 2021 at the age of 93 and finally we would definitely recommend Haven Care team and wish you all the very best in the future.
