Bluebird Care Highgate & Haringey are passionate about keeping their customers safe, secure and happy in their own homes.

They are a truly local provider, purely providing care and support to people who live in the borough of Haringey. They are always close at hand and react quickly and professionally to any situation. The office opened in 2013 with the aim of providing the best possible care in people’s homes and to become the local provider of choice.

They have come to realise through their experience that the question of care at home typically doesn’t arise until there is a sudden need. Most people think that the stark choice is either living self-sufficiently (without help) in their own familiar surroundings or ‘going into a home’. Bluebird Care can prevent this by offering a realistic alternative to allow people to stay at home, with family, friends and their possessions around them.

No upheaval, no stress and no trouble. Bluebird Care ‘just happens’.

They are known locally for the complex care they provide, which results in a great deal of 24-hour live-in care and night care, which they have become specialists in. However, they provide hundreds of hours of care per week across the borough of Haringey.

Care at home can involve shorter visits, possibly one to two hours of care per week, right through to a daily 12-hour visit. They can assist with shopping, medication, personal care, cooking, going out in the community and more.

I have relied on Bluebird to care for my two elderly parents for three years now. They are extremely professional when scheduling visits and are always happy to change up the routine to fit around our busy lives. We have settled on several carers who visit on a regular basis. They have built up fantastic
relationships with my parents and can't do enough to help them. We couldn't recommend them more. Thank you Bluebird!

We have been using Bluebird Care for the last two years to help look after my mother who has Alzheimer's dementia. The carers are kind, caring, always respectful of her wishes and sensitive to her needs. They manage difficult situations in a professional manner and appear well supervised. The office
management team are very quick to respond to any queries and issues are dealt with promptly. We have had to increase the level of care over the two years and this has never been a problem; earlier concerns about continuity of carer were addressed and our mum now has a team of two or three carers who know her well and provide almost all of the visits. It has been a huge weight off my mind to know that my mum is in good, caring hands when I am away and I have no hesitation in recommending the agency.

We have been using Bluebird for a number of years and currently have a live-in carer for a 105-year-old woman. The care she has received was been on the whole excellent, although much depends on the character and attitude of the carer. There have been a few issues, understandably to be expected when
dealing with an elderly patient with a fading memory. On the whole, we are satisfied with our current arrangements.

The Bluebird team provides 24-hour support to my aunt who is living with Alzheimer's disease. We have been very impressed with the service and the carers. They are thoughtful and kind, always thinking of ways to adapt to give my aunt a good quality of life. The registered care manager and the staff

From the start of using Bluebird Care services six months ago, we have received excellent care. All the carers are well-trained, punctual, sensitive to my husband's needs, efficient in carrying out his requests, very caring and a pleasure to have in the house. Neither of us has had any cause whatsoever
for any complaint in all this time.
I have also found the contact with the office staff excellent: it is extremely helpful to have such quick and efficient contact by phone and all my requests for extra help etc. have been dealt with expertly. The policy of supervision of carers in the workplace is also very reassuring. We are very pleased, indeed, that we chose Bluebird and would recommend it unreservedly to anyone in our situation.

This is the first time we have used Bluebird Care Highgate and Haringey and I was impressed by the team right from the start. We had a visit to outline the service provided and for the team to better understand my mother's needs. We found the team member very caring, and informative and she put us
at ease knowing that Mum would be in safe hands. The carers that they paired Mum with were so kind and treated Mum with respect and made her feel safe. It was a big undertaking handing over the care of my mother to someone else, but they took away that fear and worry, and I could see the smile on my mother's face when she saw them. Mum was encouraged to do activities and interact with others at a centre that they took her to which she loved. I know that when I leave my mother in their care, I won't have to worry at all. Bluebird have been amazing and I look forward to the ongoing relationship that we have with the team. Thank you, Bluebird for everything.

Bluebird is providing excellent care for my Mum. Since day one they have understood her needs and have tailored their care accordingly. The carers treat her with kindness, compassion, and consideration, protect her dignity, and interact with her in a friendly and gentle way, always basing their approach
around Mum herself, what she would like, what would help, and how she's feeling. Mum can trust them and this brings comfort and security. I then have the confidence and assurance that I need that mum is being well looked after. The agency is very organised, reliable, and professional. Communication is great and they always respond and make sure they are available. They are quick to find solutions to anything that may arise, listen carefully, and do their utmost to help and ensure that things go well and smoothly. They have also been very supportive towards me, showing care and consideration to my family as well as to Mum. Thank you so much, Bluebird.

I have genuinely rated all as excellent as this is so. The only rating I hesitated on is value for money as it certainly is, i feel, the charges are high, especially extra for weekends and double for bank holidays (£64 an hour!)

Bluebird carers come to my home every morning to reassure my daughter who doesn't live in London that I am alright. They help with household chores that I can no longer do as my hip prevents me from bending or walking far.
They have all been excellent; friendly, sympathetic, punctual, hardworking,
thoughtful and tolerant of my untidiness. They have posted my letters, watered my plants, emptied my bins.
The visiting rotas are flexible and well organised. I am so glad I have found such a helpful and understanding organisation.

My mother is unable to walk and is in great pain. The carers are kind, caring, compassionate and professional. They do everything possible to manage my mother's pain when tending to her care. Aside from her pain, they manage other tasks in a timely and efficient manner. The managers are excellent too.
They deal with enquiries or requests quickly and efficiently. The directors respond to emails expeditiously. It is such a relief that my mother is in capable hands when it comes to the care she receives.
My mother and I feel very much that Bluebird Care are part of the family. We have come to know the carers very well and have built up a rapport with them.
If the carers have any concerns for my mother's skin or her other medical needs that require outside intervention, i.e. doctor or nurse, they immediately bring this to my attention.
Their charges are competitive for such a first-class service.
Both Mum and I are very grateful to Bluebird Care.

Bluebird Care undertook my care at home following a knee operation and respite care I am pleased I chose them to do so. I have been very pleased with the carers sent to shower and dress me in the mornings and get me safely downstairs. They care for my needs and put me to bed in the evenings. Despite
recent difficulties because of absences due to illness and injury to a few of my carers the management has been able to provide the same good care. I feel safe in their hands.

Thank you so much to the lovely carers who looked after our mum during the early part of the pandemic.
We were so grateful for the care our mum received to help her function living alone and indeed helped extend her independence before her move to a care home 18 months later.
She built relationships
with the carers and was able to have much needed human contact and conversation in addition to the family. We know that she very much enjoyed their company as well as their care.

Bluebird has provided exceptional care to my mother who is living with Dementia over the last year. The carers are kind and thoughtful and provide companionship as well as care. The office is efficient and well organised and has always been quick to respond to any changes or comments I have made. For
example, when we suddenly were unable to see my mother over Christmas they organised extra visits in next to no time and made that period of difficult isolation for us all so much more bearable. Most importantly, my mother is happy - having been quite nervous about letting people into her house at first she quickly found the carers so thoughtful and kind that she looks forward to their visits.

We have been using Bluebird Care since July 2020.
We were given a list of agencies last year to select an agency of our choice, after checking the list and doing research, we found that Bluebird Care best suited our needs and arranged a visit.
Following the visit we were satisfied that Bluebird best
suited our aunt's needs.
We were looking for personal care and companionship. In the beginning she was only in need of one carer at a time but due to poor health she now needs two carers at a time.
My aunt has been looked after by Bluebird just like we would look after her.
One of the family also comes in once a day, we don't always see the carers, but we have a communication book that has been essential.
We couldn't be happier with the standard of care shown to our aunt.
We have had to adjust the care package several times throughout the time and the agency have been more than accommodating.

We had excellent support over the Christmas days. The staff who came in the morning to help my mother get up were here on time and were very professional, working with my mother and respecting her routines. They were friendly and kind to my mother. Those who we saw in the afternoon for companionship,

Terina Jones

Job Title: Registered Care Manager

Joined: 2020

Terina started working in the care industry in 1999, working as a health care assistant at Southend Hospital. She progressed to mentoring and NVQ assessing other HCA’s in A&E. It was clear that she wanted to continue to pursue a career in health and social care so she took up a registered manager role in a domiciliary care business and has since held operational and regional manager roles. Terina brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team as our registered care manager, she has a clear passion for supporting people and working in an organisation where she can make a real difference. Terina has many qualifications, including a level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care.


Since joining Bluebird Care, Terina has helped the business achieve an overall rating of Outstanding with our regulator the Care Quality Commission, making us the only provider with this rating in the borough of Haringey. Also in late 2022, Terina won a national award, 'Care Manager of the Year' from over 100 nominations at a ceremony in London. We are very proud of her continued success and achievements.

Bridget originally trained as a general nurse and gained several years of experience working in acute settings before transferring to the community where she had various roles supporting children, young people, and their families in their own homes.


She had the opportunity to take up a management position in healthcare and this extended to management across adult health and social care. During this time she felt very passionate about making a difference in the lives of people who required care and support. She did everything she could to help them live independent lives and receive the best possible support.


Following a break in her career, Bridget joined Bluebird Care Highgate & Haringey as a care worker and this experience once again enabled her to provide quality care to customers in their own homes. She then had the opportunity to take up the position of care supervisor, a role that she really wanted to do, as it enables her to continue supporting customers but also offering support to care workers.

Eka lived in America for 2 years working as a nanny before moving to London. She started her career as an English teacher, mainly teaching at the secondary school level but longed to work in the care industry. She started working as a care assistant visiting people's homes, delivering a very high level of support and care. She has continued her learning and increased her knowledge around domiciliary care and is now an integral part of the office team where she focuses on supporting our entire care team.

Angela Whitear

Before joining Bluebird Care in April 2020, Angela worked in sales and also in hospices. It was a challenging start and introduction to home care in April 2020 due to COVID-19 but she thoroughly enjoyed her two years as a care assistant and she excelled in her role. Angela continued her progression and became our care coordinator in July 2022 at our neighbouring Camden & Hampstead office before joining the Highgate and Haringey team as our Care Supervisor in September 2023.
