Home Instead Rugby cared for my mum for a few years before she died. They were called in to do companionship care and were fabulous. My mum grew to love her ladies and they helped greatly with her health, nothing was too much trouble. As her health and dementia worsened the care grew but it was so subtle
she never minded. Sadly, circumstances changed everything but we would have used them more. Fabulous people.

From the first assessment meeting, Home Instead have always been professional, friendly and supportive. The office staff were polite, helpful and quickly addressed any queries we had. The caregivers showed empathy, were always supportive, understanding of Mum's condition and very respectful of our family
home. They communicated well with Mum to discuss her daily needs and treated her with respect and dignity. They carried out their duties carefully and efficiently. They always abided by Covid-19 regulations which made us and Mum feel safe and protected. We would like to thank you all for your care over the last 12 months with helping mum and us through some difficult and challenging times. Many thanks again.

When my aunt needed more home care support, we looked around a number of agencies and chose Home Instead (Rugby) based on the reviews online, the CQC report we read and the initial enquiries and engagement with the Management Team. This instilled a great deal of confidence in their professionalism.
The quality of care, bespoke engagement and genuine depth of awareness and knowledge of my aunt’s personality and character have been beyond compare. The carers, whilst always diligent and professional also built very caring relationships with my aunt, which enhanced significantly her daily experience and wider life outcomes (her socialisation and mental health were positively impacted). The quality and frequency of communication (we lived remotely) were first class, be they via the app, email or telephone. The continuity and standard of care over nearly three years before my aunt needed to go into residential care as her frailty increased, was exceptional, such that they felt more like family.

All the helpers were very pleasant and considerate in view of my disablement. I had to rely on them for most of my needs and found they were always willing to go above and beyond to make my life better. Definitely, I couldn't have managed without them to stay independent.

The team, office and frontline demonstrated more than the basic skills/competencies needed to track my mother's needs and adjust to their increasing levels as end of life drew closer. Over a three year period, continuity of carers was valued as Mum didn't want to "retrain" new carers in her positioning
of items, or personal routines. Compassion, calmness, understanding of frustrations and gracious overlooking of demands/faults are evident.

Carers have looked after my husband for about a year, excellent care. Made the last year of his life comfortable as he was safely looked after at home as he requested.

My mother was consistently satisfied with the care provided - from the two care staff who were assigned to her on a regular basis. Mum enjoyed their company and she said they were always willing to carry out tasks for and with her.

The carer always turned up, ut if there was a reason to be late, they phone ahead. My father was kept clean along with the house and the food cooked and provided was always good.
Even though the staff had busy schedules; the care and attention given was excellent.
My father was always happy with
the service and would have recommended Home Instead.

My Dad needed someone to spend time with him, talking, taking him out and such. He has a brain injury and finding someone that understood his complex needs has been challenging and upsetting at times. However, since Home Instead has been involved my Dad has been very happy. His caregiver was matched
to him because of her experience and personality and has brought the best out in him, kept him busy and they do different things together. We know when Dad isn't happy....he tells us in no uncertain terms! But he has had nothing but good things to say about his experience with Home Instead.

Home Instead has been a brilliant source of support and encouragement to my dad. His 'companion' gets him out and about, and makes him feel happier in his day. He is able to have days out, go to the shops, the pub, etc. She also gives us insight to the things going on when we can't be there ourselves;
meaning we are able to better manage his welfare needs, and also allows us to spend the times we do have with him as more quality family time.

Home Instead have a friendly, flexible and professional approach to their care of Mum. They took time to get to know us as a family, involving us in creating a detailed plan as well as a set of goals to work towards. The app provides up-to-the-minute feedback, which is invaluable as it is possible to
discreetly check on things at any time from our end, this reduces the worry associated with having someone at home who is in need of care. Mum has a complicated range of needs/diagnosis, for which Home Instead facilitated specific additional training for Mum’s carers, in order for them to be as informed as possible about her condition and medication. The team were there to help even before Mum was discharged from Hospital, good advice & tips, such as blister-packaging, which we would have had no knowledge of otherwise.
The carers are so kind and understanding as well as (importantly) capable and resilient when it has been necessary for them to be firmer.
I couldn’t recommend Home Instead more.

Professional, efficient, friendly, well-managed, informative, caring, consistent, knowledgable, pro-active, sensible, respectful; How do you describe the fantastic team at Home Instead? from top to bottom, all the above are applicable and allowed for Mum to remain safe, happy and independent until her
last few weeks. Without them, neither we, or she would have managed.
Heartfelt thanks.

A first-class service all round. Carers always came on time and were extremely caring and professional in their work. I can't thank our regular carer enough for her help and kindness. The relief carers also gave a first-class service. The office staff, when contacted were always kind and helpful.

My Mother had home care form Home Instead Rugby form October 2018 to August 2019, initially once a day but rising to four times a day. Changes to care needs were always accommodated swiftly and all carers were efficient and very friendly. I could keep a good check on how Mum was doing by reading their
notes in the app. The staff in the office always put up with and implemented my requests efficiently. I have no hesitation in recommending home Instead Rugby.

I was in hospital from May 24th to June 10th and then in a convalescent home from June 10th - 24th.
I received visits from your general manager both in the care home and on my first day in my own home and I cannot praise highly enough the interest and promise of help he gave.
I did not know how long
I would need your help and when on day 7 I managed to shower and dress unaided, I felt that I had done wonderfully so I am continuing on my own with some long term domestic help.
Thank you for all of the help I have received from you.

My Mum's caregiver was fantastic. She worked so hard to keep my Mum's home clean and tidy, cooked lovely meals and really cared about my Mum's overall welfare. My Mum really looked forward to her visits and enjoyed her company. We could not have asked for a better service and would recommend Home Instead
Senior Care without hesitation.

Job Title: Managing Director

"The very proud owner of Home Instead Rugby. I am very passionate about our clients receiving a high quality of care and companionship within the Rugby and Lutterworth area."

Throughout her working life, Sarah has held various positions in different sectors. From Burgers bars to care homes and went on to join the British Army in the Medical Corps.

She spent several years in retail management and then took some time off with her children and ventured into child care and fostering. She mainly cared for children with disabilities and challenging behaviour.

In Christmas 2012 Sarah stumbled across Home Instead and was offered a position with the office in Market Harborough as a Client Coordinator. She vowed never to take a job in care again as her earlier experience was not very nice. However, Home Instead helped her to realise that care can be high quality and bespoke.

"The personalised care that is offered ensures we make a genuine difference to our service users and their families and for the first time ever I enjoyed going to work" Sarah commented.

In November 2013 Sarah lost her mother at only 52 years old through her battle with cancer. This made her look at her life and she decided she really wanted to make a difference. She took the leap to buy her own Home Instead Office. It is a job that she thoroughly enjoys and she has no regrets.

In her spare time, Sarah likes to spend time with her family. She has two grown-up boys.

She enjoys socialising with friends, travelling, going out for meals and a nice glass of red wine.
