Bluebird Care Staff have always been professional, friendly, and approachable. They carried out required tasks, with attention to detail, and any additional request was met wherever possible. Although sometimes (but not very often), the time requested may be changed slightly or a different carer may
arrive, that is acceptable as is the nature of providing such a service, and in most cases we would be informed of such. When caring for my wife, and more recently for myself, we have been pleased with the care provided, and would have no hesitation on recommending Bluebird care to others.

Really good support from the carers who were efficient, friendly and good company whilst they worked. Our requirement was only for support in the home, e.g. cleaning, not personal care. So the rate charged was comparatively high for what we needed but the jobs were done well. With hindsight, we should
have been clearer about the time required as it was overestimated.

My wife and I have been very pleased with the standard of care service provided by all her carers and found that having the weekly rota via email is more reliable than a rota sent by post. Sometimes we received the mailed rota letter only arrived after the carer arrived. I think it might be a good idea
to make this information being made more widely known (this is not a complaint, by the way, only a suggestion).

My father has been cared for since April this year, he has had two carers so far and they have both been excellent. One of the carers has a car and has taken him out for coffee, lunch and dinner which he has really enjoyed. She is so kind and helpful and my father really likes her. The other lady didn't
have a car but was so kind and thoughtful.

Bluebird ladies are kind, thoughtful, efficient and friendly when they visit. For their sake and their client visits the carers would benefit from more efficient management of their time when rotas have to be changed at short notice especially geography of visits.

Bluebird offers a professional, flexible and friendly service. Carers are, without exception, kind, caring and compassionate. Excellent support is provided by every carer. All are really friendly and helpful and prepared to go the extra mile to make sure my mother is okay. My mother views them as her friends. Her elderly dog has also benefitted from the friendly, considerate and caring nature of the staff.

When we were offered carers to assist us in our old age we viewed the prospect with a great deal of anxiety and trepidation. How mistaken we were to even question the help being offered to us. We have received such kindness, warmth, understanding and help with our everyday needs that all we can say
is, a very big thank you to all concerned. Especially to the personal help I never thought my wife would accept. Due, to no small measure to the carers ability to gain her trust and willingness to be cared for by someone other than myself. Continuity and familiarity is the most pleasing aspect of the system created. It has improved the quality of our life immensely.

Overall very satisfied with the service provided by Bluebird Care. Initial late morning visits have not been ideal but the situation is now improving with afternoon appointments.

Fantastic care was provided for my grandparents throughout 2020 and 2021. They did everything they could to make my grandparents feel comfortable and were there for them at every call. Nothing was too big or small for them to do. Couldn’t recommend the entire Bluebird team enough.

I have been cared for by Bluebird Care for just over three years now and have been satisfied with their service. Most of the carers are very thorough although one or two try to rush the care so that they can spend the ‘saved’ time on other things like accessing the internet on their phones. However,
I always have my allocated time for each visit apart from the bedtime visit when the full half an hour is not really required if everything goes well. Otherwise, I have no concerns with the care I receive.

I have been with Bluebird for approximately 2 years. There have been ups and downs but as I need medical assistance, I can honestly say the small team that helps me have been very good. The girls are always cheerful and we often share a laugh.

Sean and Heather Price

Graduates of Cambridge and Manchester Universities respectively, Sean and Heather set up their company in 2013 after decades of senior management experience in the public sector. They chose the care sector in order to focus on making a positive difference in people’s lives in the local community.


When not in the office, both enjoy spending time with family and also watching and taking part in various sports. In 2018, Heather completed the London Marathon raising over £2,500 for the Institute for Cancer Research in London.

Having joined Bluebird Care when the company started in December 2014, Jules has worked her way up the ladder from care assistant to supervisor and now to her current role as our Training, Recruitment and Live-in Care Manager. Jules finds it a great joy to see the newly trained care assistants flourish and develop to support our customers from the comfort of their own homes. Jules has Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care and Train the Trainer qualifications in Medication Management, Moving and Handling and first aid. Outside of work, Jules loves looking after and caring for her garden.

Lauren Smith

Job Title: Care Co-ordinator

Lauren started her career with Bluebird Care in 2017 as a care assistant. After 18 months she progressed and gained promotion to Field Care Supervisor for Richmond, Catterick, and Bedale in 2018. Lauren is now our care coordinator. For Lauren, building close relationships with our care assistants and enabling customers to remain at home for as long as possible is the most rewarding part of her role. Lauren always knew that she wanted to work in the care industry and support the elderly and vulnerable since caring for relatives when she was younger. Lauren has completed her Level 3 Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care and Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health. Lauren is extremely family-orientated and loves walking her two dogs in her spare time; Summer and Buzz.
