Live In Care is dedicated to providing full-time, high-quality care at home services for clients in their homes. This enables them to lead happy, fulfilling lives while maintaining their independence.

Local social service departments and onward care teams widely use the service. Live-in Care can also respond quickly to rapid-response situations, such as hospital discharge care.

Clients receive a comprehensive care assessment by a qualified care assessor. This results in an individualised care plan that matches their needs with potential carers. The plan is regularly reviewed to ensure that the care needs are being met.

The care professionals are carefully selected and DBS-checked. They focus on maintaining the independence of individuals within their homes with a person-centred approach.

A live in carer provides personal and practical support for day-to-day activities, well-being, and recovery. The team also offers extensive assistance to families, providing information, advice, and respite breaks for carers.

My Aunt has dementia and had a live-in carer from Sept 2019 to July 2020. During this time she received excellent care. The carer treated her with respect and dignity at all times. My Aunt was always clean and tidy and well-fed. The carer also took good care of the home and my Aunts sweet little cat.
Mt Aunt loved the carer very much. She became very difficult at times however the carer was always very understanding and extremely patient.
During the pandemic the carer did not have any breaks, choosing to stay with my Aunt and ensuring she was safe and well. I will never be able to thank the agency or the carer enough for their help and understanding.

My mother’s care provider was a different one up until June 2020 when I switched providers. I wish I had done this ages ago as the 2 carers we have had since using this agency have been excellent... worlds apart from the previous, substandard service. The carers are clean, conscientious, caring, capable,
highly experienced and have my mother’s best interest at heart, almost like it’s not just a job, they CARE. The person in place at the moment has been fantastic since day one and she is worth every penny and more! I was always on edge about the level of care my mum was getting with the previous agency, but now I am relaxed, knowing she absolutely is in the best hands. The agency have been contacting the doctors and dementia teams to help my mum, I always had to do that sort of thing previously, so they have taken that pressure off of me and the family as well. They absolutely know what they are doing and I would recommend them 1000% to any family in a situation like ours. Thank you so much!

I contacted Live In Care late Friday, May 2020 Bank Holiday. Immediately I knew this was the company to care for my terminally ill elderly friend. The manager asked, “What can we do for your friend and how can we support you?”. Within 12 hours, the manager visited, assessed his needs and proposed a
bespoke sitting service, to start in 24 hours. Saturday afternoon my friend deteriorated so the first visit was brought forward to 7am Sunday. At last my friend would be given the compassion, empathy and tenderness that end of life deserved and all done with dignity. When the existing service provider refused to work with Live In Care, pulling out that evening, Live In Care arranged 24-hour care until another provider was sourced. My friend passed away before the sitting service commenced, but help and support was continually offered. No charge was made for any of the service provided. No hard sell, call centre or upfront payment.
Live In Care are people who care about people not the purse. Thank you for being there for my friend and me.

Someone coming into your home to stay with you has to be a bit special. First impressions count. 10 out of 10 right away. She became one of my family immediately. Carryout out all her duties to the letter with perfect manners. Cooks wonderful meals. We enjoy each other's company, chatting and watching
TV. I would be very happy to have her back again. A credit to Live In Care.

Live In Care was the third agency I contacted but from the first phone call, I felt reassured. The person who answered the phone was so friendly and welcoming and put me through to her colleague swiftly. The care manager immediately understood the situation with which I was dealing regarding my mother's
return from 3 months in hospital after a stroke and having been told by the professionals that she had to have 24/7 support.
We quickly set up appointments for the care manager to meet Mum and visit her home. Within 24 hours of the first appointment, I was sent profiles of suitable carers and with Mum, we chose those whom we thought would suit Mum.
The day Mum came home the carer had arrived in plenty of time to be there to meet my husband and I, see the house and meet Mum when she arrived.
The carers are brilliant - they are looking after Mum so well. It gives me so much peace of mind.
Given the current crisis, the carers and the agency are doing brilliant work.

We had 6 carers from Live In Care for my parents over a period of time, and they were all outstanding, without exception. We never had any cause for complaint, in fact, they all went above and beyond what any of us would have expected. I always got the impression that they were not just doing a job,
but that they genuinely cared for and about my parents. Both my parents spent time in hospital, and the carers organised a rota so that someone could be with them 24/7 even though it meant sleeping on the floor or in a chair; as a family, we can never thank them enough for this. The carers were resourceful and hardworking and were determined to provide the best care possible. My parents were always treated with kindness, dignity and love, nothing was too much trouble. I would not hesitate to recommend Live In Care.

Live In Care provided excellent live-in care and 'waking night care' for my Mum at home as her health deteriorated. Despite difficult home circumstances, they didn't give up on her and did their utmost to provide friendly caring ladies to look after her.

From the very beginning, I had real faith in this company. The care manager was extremely helpful and empathetic and matched a lovely carer to assist with my mother’s needs. I was able to take a break knowing my beloved mum was being well looked after. The chosen carer was also instrumental in aiding
my mother’s ongoing recovery and journey to regaining some of her independence.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who may be looking for Live in Care.
A huge thank you to the whole team.

Both carers were absolutely excellent. They helped mum gain confidence in many ways. This was invaluable and mum loved the fun-loving care that they provided and especially enjoyed being accompanied by them to church. Mum instantly took to the carers. Their support was invaluable and their calm, measured
and compassionate care at the end of mum’s life was absolutely second to none. They not only provided excellent care for mum but they also looked after us as a family in a sensitive compassionate way so that we were able to work together to make mum’s last few days the best that they could possibly be. Their communication skills were excellent, both with mum and with us as a family so that we were kept informed at all times. They are both brilliant carers and I would highly recommend them both for future employment in caring positions. In addition, the agency managers were kind and caring and their organisation skills ensured the right carers were assigned to meet the needs our mum.

In 2018 we had cause to use this company to look after an elderly relative with Parkinson's who needed live in care. Recently we again found ourselves in need of a live in carer after my relative was discharged from hospital. I had no hesitation in contacting Live In Care again. In total, we have had
help from six carers. Only one did not meet our expectations and the company swiftly offered to replace her if we wished. The carers have been trustworthy and supportive of my relative's needs and some of them really hit it off with my relative and became companions as well as carers. The care manager was particularly helpful in ensuring arrangements ran smoothly as I do not live nearby and was anxious that my relative was not 'left in the lurch' at any time. If you need live in care then this company are reliable, trustworthy and professional although as with everything a good service does not come cheap!

We are so grateful for the wonderful, caring ladies who have and still are, taking care of Mum, following a concussion complication. Their devoted care has enabled our elderly dad to relax, knowing the nights are covered by these capable, friendly ladies. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I totally
recommend Live In Care to everyone who may need help in keeping their loved ones living independently at home. Thank you all.

Contacted Live In Care in February 2019 and quickly arranged a Live In Care carer for my Mum. We wanted to allow my Mum to continue to live at home, with the freedom that allows. Sadly 8 months on we have had to move mum to a care home due to her deterioration. Many thanks to Live In Care for providing
lovely carers. Happy to recommend them.

This was the first time that I used a live-in service for my father, who has moderate Alzheimer's, so that my wife and I, and our young children could have a family holiday abroad. A holiday that we had wanted for over 4 years.
I arranged our holiday in 2 weeks before the date of departure. This included
everything from my first meeting / father's assessment with your company to booking the much-needed vacation.
From my initial phone call with Live In Care I was totally inspired with confidence and satisfied that my father's care would be in excellent hands. I, therefore, booked our holiday knowing that Live In Care would deliver exactly what had been arranged.
My family met with the first carer and we met the 2nd-week lady on our return. I was totally overwhelmed with the service we received and would emphatically recommend anyone using this company. Dignity and great value for money.
I will certainly be requesting their services again in the near future. Thank you Live In Care.

I was badly let down by a previous company supplying live-in carers to my 93-year-old mother who suffers from dementia. On the day before changeover, I was advised that they had no carer for the following day. I tried a number of alternatives, contacting Live-in Care from the Somerset Directory of Care
Services late in the afternoon. I was delighted to discover that the admin team included two people whom I had already dealt with in a previous employment providing care for my father.
They could not have been more helpful or responsive. Recognising my dilemma, I was promised a carer for midday the next day and also promising to provide a consistent carer to alternate with the one I was already employing. Within an hour I had a carer profile. Changeover was good and the incoming carer met with complete approval. Staff from the team came out to my mother's flat to make sure everything was satisfactory. Admin support from the office has been excellent.

We have two carers. They alternate. Both are really lovely and caring, always looking to do that little bit extra. My friend is an elderly and infirm lady and all the care she gets is excellent. The two carers are very different but both very very good.

I approached Live In Care in early February with regard to taking over from me to provide 24-hour care for my 96-year-old Mother. The flexible approach to everything was an advantage and the fact that Mum already knew the manager and some of her staff. The care regime evolved over time. Mum has
been fortunate to have had two lovely care ladies for most of the time, both of whom were really excellent. Live In Care were able to find carers to come in when the ladies had hours off, etc and Mum has been able to continue living at home with people that she has been happy with. Now I am back for a while, but we will be calling on the services of Live In Care in again. Thank you to all the team.

Being the main carer for my mum who has vascular dementia, it has been an absolute godsend to find a company who I can trust implicitly to provide waking care in my absence and therefore provide me with much-needed respite. Live In Care have absolutely fulfilled all of my, and my mums, requirements
and I know that whenever I go away now she is left in excellent hands. The organisation is very professional with full profiles of the (very experienced) carers being provided in advance, arrangements all organised for gaining access to my mum's property and excellent care being provided overnight. I cannot thank this company enough for there professionalism and care at a very difficult time. They really do go above and beyond. Thank you!

Live in Care stepped into the breach at only 1 day's notice when I was badly let down by another company.
The carer they provided was superb and fitted in very easily to provide waking night care for my father.

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
