Bluebird Care made all the difference to my mum's life after she had been discharged from hospital. She had found it very difficult to admit she needed help but once she acknowledged that the managers and carers were able to reassure her and be there in a practical way, and they were always respectful
towards her as an individual in her own right. I can't thank them enough for their dedication. They were also brilliant at keeping in touch with me, knowing I lived a long way away and had caring duties at home. They stepped in at short notice when my mum was feeling very isolated and helpless. I only wish their support could have been in place earlier in my mum's life.

Mum and Dad had emgerency carers before we went to Bluebird Care Torbay. We never knew if and when they would turn up or the standard of care they would provide.
Bluebird Care Torbay turn up at 9am the morning and evening without fail. They treat Mum and Dad with the utmost care and dignity.
As they
have the same few carers, they have become more like friends and it is good that Mum and Dad are able to have chat and a laugh with them.

We are really pleased with Bluebird on the whole. The caregivers are all lovely, mostly very prompt and very thorough. We would probably prefer not having quite so big a team (no more new ones please!). They do all really care for Dad though. The management are always helpful with requests I make and
seem very professional. They are obviously overworked as some things didn't happen as said, but nothing major.

Bluebird Care Torbay looked after my father for end of life care. All the carers were superb. Professional and very kind. They all took time to talk to Dad about his life and engaged him in his interests. He looked forward to their visits each day. I cannot praise them enough and wouldn't hesitate to

Bluebird Care Torbay (both managers and carers) consistently went the extra mile in caring for my mother over a period of three years. The continuity of carers was excellent and my mother really enjoyed their visits. The quality of care was also extremely good - both professional and empathetic. We

The care provided by Bluebird Care Torbay enabled me to spend a weekend with the family celebrating my 60th birthday. Care was provided from Friday evening to Sunday evening providing meals and companionship throughout the day and early evening. I was able to enjoy some respite knowing my mother-in-law
was being cared for by familiar people who she is used to seeing. She has Alzheimer's and this was invaluable.

I cannot thank the managers enough for their responsiveness, sensitivity and support with both my fathers physical and my mother's psycho-social support needs. They responded beyond the call of duty on many occasions including out of hours. The carers were reliable and efficient in the care they gave
and several were especially skilled at building trust and rapport with my parents.

The very best service I could wish for my mum to receive. The care my sister-in-law received was excellent. When she was anxious and confused the staff took time to reassure and calm her down. I joined the Bluebird team in July 2017, as a Care Assistant which I loved. I then progressed to Field Supervisor and became Recruitment Manager in August 2019. In addition to this in October 2023 I took on the role as Acting Manager.


I am responsible for the day-to-day running of the business and ensuring quality and compliance. I oversee the recruitment and retention of our care staff and ensure they are supported and able to deliver our high-quality service. I ensure that all our new employees are nurtured throughout their 12-week probation period. I also work closely with the coordinator to meet staffing requirements and address the needs of the business.


I am a people person, always willing to help when and where I can and always offer you a warm smile, a cuppa and a chat. I enjoy building the connection with staff and offering support to colleagues and all staff alike. HAPPY STAFF = HAPPY & SAFE CUSTOMERS.

Asia has been working for Bluebird Care Torbay for 5 years. Asia started working with us as a care worker and then became a Field Supervisor. Sarah joined Bluebird Care Torbay in 2019 as a Care Worker and then applied for the role of Field Supervisor. Sarah excelled in this role and when a temporary Care Manager position became available decided to apply. Sarah is a great representative for the business and takes care of the Torquay area by supporting staff and customers alike. Sarah's warmth and winning smile help put new customers at ease!

Rachel Freeth

As a Field Supervisor, Rachel visits customer’s homes in order to monitor the care given by our Care Workers, ensuring it is of the high quality that we pride ourselves on. While at our customer's homes, Rachel will also identify any risks and ensure our customers are happy and safe.


Rachel supports Bluebird Care by providing contingency cover if necessary, to ensure customers' care remains undisturbed and stable throughout their journey with Bluebird Care.

Danny Johnson

Danny moved to Torbay in 2017 to run a B&B and has worked in care for 8 years. Danny joined Bluebird in 2020 as a carer, and a year later joined the supervisor team. Danny really enjoys the role and loves the variety, every day is different! Danny tries to support staff out on visits make sure they are happy and try to sort out any issues. Danny also takes on the on-call responsibilities, and office-based work too! Danny is always up for a Bluebird night out!

Clarissa has worked for Bluebird Torbay for 5 years.


Clarissa initially worked as a Part-time Evening Carer mainly focussed on the Brixham area and later covered more of the Torbay area.


She transferred into the Field Supervisor team in August 2022 and really enjoys her role as she gets to see more of the customers as well as support the carers during Spot checks.

Whilst working for Bluebird Clarissa has grown in confidence and completed her level 2 in adult care and she is currently working towards her level 3 so she has gained qualifications alongside her job role.
