Bluebird proved to be more than we could have hoped for in caring for our Mother, as her day-to-day ability to cope with living deteriorated. She was treated with efficiency, respect and kindness. As her carer, the daily notes made my the 'Bluebirds' were particularly useful. The company worked well
when help from the District Nurses was required. My brother and I were very sorry when it became apparent that 24-hour care was required. Bluebird made it possible for Mother to stay for a year or so longer in her own home. We would thoroughly recommend Bluebird to friends and family.

Bluebird Care to our rescue when my uncle was beginning to forget things, including personal hygiene. I can't thank them enough for caring for a somewhat difficult man who did not want to be cared for. His carers (two men especially) jollied him along and wouldn't be daunted. The management team were
all helpful when needed as well and nothing was too much trouble.

Carers always arrived when scheduled and had a professional approach, being friendly and respectful of both the service user and their home. Carers were efficient and showed a genuine interest in the service user and were always happy to perform further tasks if time permitted. Visits were carried out
by a small group of carers, enabling family and carers to get to know each other well, leading to a relaxed atmosphere and trust.
Invoices were sent at regular intervals and were always correct for the care time given. I would have no hesitation in recommending this agency.

I found Bluebird Care completely reliable in their timekeeping, care and friendliness. My friend, who has senile dementia, got to know her two carers who divided up the week between themselves and came half an hour each morning to give her breakfast and medication. She became very fond of them both.

Having left the army he completed a business degree and lived in London for a National Energy company. Alexander has spent a lot of his spare time fundraising and organising events to raise money and awareness for the British Limbless Ex-Service Men's Association: BLESMA.

I have over 30 years experience of working in the health and social care field and I remain registered with the Healthcare Professional Council as a Social Worker. I have worked in social service departments and the NHS for a large part of my career.

I joined the Bluebird team in July 2017, as a Care Assistant which I loved. I then progressed to Field Supervisor and became Recruitment Manager in August 2019. In addition to this in October 2023 I took on the role as Acting Manager.


I am responsible for the day-to-day running of the business and ensuring quality and compliance. I oversee the recruitment and retention of our care staff and ensure they are supported and able to deliver our high-quality service. I ensure that all our new employees are nurtured throughout their 12-week probation period. I also work closely with the coordinator to meet staffing requirements and address the needs of the business.


I am a people person, always willing to help when and where I can and always offer you a warm smile, a cuppa and a chat. I enjoy building the connection with staff and offering support to colleagues and all staff alike. HAPPY STAFF = HAPPY & SAFE CUSTOMERS.

Asia has been working for Bluebird Care Torbay for 5 years. Asia started working with us as a care worker and then became a Field Supervisor. In 2021 Asia became a care manager for the Torquay area undertaking assessments for our new customers and supporting our care team. Louise covers Brixham, Paignton and Totnes and she is enjoying the challenge of meeting lots of new people and developing her relationships with new and existing customers.


Louise came to work for Bluebird in November 2018 after leaving her position as Discharge Co-Ordinator/Bed Manager with the National Health, where she worked for almost 20 years.

Sarah Hillman

Sarah joined Bluebird Care Torbay in 2019 as a Care Worker and then applied for the role of Field Supervisor. Sarah excelled in this role and when a temporary Care Manager position became available decided to apply. Sarah is a great representative for the business and takes care of the Torquay area by supporting staff and customers alike. Sarah's warmth and winning smile help put new customers at ease!

Rachel Freeth

Job Title: Field Supervisor

As a Field Supervisor, Rachel visits customer’s homes in order to monitor the care given by our Care Workers, ensuring it is of the high quality that we pride ourselves on. While at our customer's homes, Rachel will also identify any risks and ensure our customers are happy and safe.


Rachel supports Bluebird Care by providing contingency cover if necessary, to ensure customers' care remains undisturbed and stable throughout their journey with Bluebird Care.


Rachel spent her first 2 years with Bluebird Care as a Care Worker. Since then, she has been promoted to Field Supervisor. She prides herself on developing lasting relationships with our customers and their families.


Danny

Danny Johnson

Job Title: Field Supervisor

Danny moved to Torbay in 2017 to run a B&B and has worked in care for 8 years. Danny joined Bluebird in 2020 as a carer, and a year later joined the supervisor team. Danny really enjoys the role and loves the variety, every day is different! Danny tries to support staff out on visits make sure they are happy and try to sort out any issues. Danny also takes on the on-call responsibilities, and office-based work too! Danny is always up for a Bluebird night out!


Clarissa

Clarissa Pugh

Job Title: Field Supervisor

Clarissa has worked for Bluebird Torbay for 5 years.


Clarissa initially worked as a Part-time Evening Carer mainly focussed on the Brixham area and later covered more of the Torbay area.


She transferred into the Field Supervisor team in August 2022 and really enjoys her role as she gets to see more of the customers as well as support the carers during Spot checks.

Whilst working for Bluebird Clarissa has grown in confidence and completed her level 2 in adult care and she is currently working towards her level 3 so she has gained qualifications alongside her job role.
