I am very pleased with the support I received from Caremark (Epsom & Ewell, Reigate, Banstead and Sutton). I found them to be very kind, courteous, reliable and easy to talk to.

I was a regular volunteer at Caremark Sutton in 2020. From my perspective, the care and commitment that all the carers I worked with showed towards the clients absolutely fantastic, even at the most difficult of times during the height of a pandemic.
It was also clear to me how strong the relationship
was between client and carer; the clients really enjoyed the time they spent with the carer and nothing was too much trouble for the carers I worked with to support the client. Likewise with the staff working in the office, working to coordinate everything; they were very responsive and professional in all of my interactions with them.
Keep up the great work everyone.

My experience did not start off well as I ended up chasing up the referral made on my behalf. However, now that I am being provided a service I can honestly state that I have appreciated the efforts and standards of both management staff and carer staff who have worked really well to support their service
user, especially during this pandemic. I am so grateful for their additional support provided to gain other services input too. Thank you. Really appreciate it.

All staff are friendly, professional and caring. They have good timekeeping and are always polite. All members of Caremark treat my son with dignity and respect. They enjoy a good rapport with him and he very much looks forward to their visits.

Caremark is by far the best care company that we have used. They have never let us down, and if there has been a problem with the carer being late, Caremark has always let us know and if necessary, sent another carer.
My Mum really likes all the carers, and they give her excellent care. If they have
concerns over Mums health, they will always report to the office and they contact me to discuss.
I have recommended Caremark to several friends.

Caremark looks after dad very well. They are caring and considerate and they provide excellent communication regarding how dad is doing. They support him by taking medication, doing the shopping for him, housework including washing clothes and provide personal care e.g. washing and shaving. I would
not hesitate to recommend Caremark.

We have had the experience of 4 x 24-hour live-in carers over the last 18 months and as is to be expected the nature of the care provided is in part dependent on the individual carer. That said all have provided a good level of care but the current carer is outstanding. The management and admin team
have always been very responsive and are well connected with the NHS health care services.

I have used the agency since I had brain surgery in December 2016. I live alone and was worried about how I would manage but everything was fine and all the carers who came to me postoperatively, were excellent. I made a decision regarding my care, supported by the carers. I never felt that I was being
told what to do and all aspects of care were discussed and a decision made jointly. The carers made it clear that my home is where I live and conduct my affairs - nobody ever told me what to do. The carers were flexible in their approach, as my brain condition means I get extremely tired sometimes. I had a knee replacement in September and the carer was supportive and adaptable in reacting to my needs. As a result, my post-op care went well with support from the carer. The carer I have now, has been with me for 4 years and she is excellent - punctual, adaptable, good attention to detail in all aspects of my care. During the lockdown, she has provided essential support, physical as well as emotional, as I dont see anyone.

Helped with her needs, my mother now seems more stable and happier. Can communicate through email which helps and it is good having regular carers to satisfy her needs. With regular carers, they seem to have more of an understanding of her needs and have built a rapport.

This feedback is based on all carers with the exception of the two that we have ongoing issues with which will be addressed separately by email. Carers - with the exception of these 2 carers with issues - are truly caring and dedicated employees. They are very patient, understanding and treat mum with
a lot of respect. Carers are considerate of day to day changes in mum's health and encourage her to do as much as she can on her own. Carers try to talk to mum and genuinely care for her with lots of love, patience and understanding. Mum enjoys the company of genuinely happy, caring carers even though communication may be challenging with the language barrier. Email responses from the office need follow-ups at times even with my infrequent communications.

We are currently having waking night carers from Caremark thrice weekly for my father-in-law who has dementia and also was a survivor of a stroke a few years back. He wakes up quite a substantial number of times wanting to wee and occasionally wanting other things. At the moment, the waking night carers
who have been coming appear to be helpful, professional, and hardworking. They have been a great help to the family, giving rest to my husband who had been looking after my father-in-law every night before the carers started. In addition, they have also been very helpful when my father-in-law wakes up in the morning, helping my mother-in-law getting him up, dressed, shower, etc. I have not put "extremely likely" as it is still early days.

The care my mother-in-law receives from Caremark is very good. She has been able to form good relationships with her carers - and having consistency of staff has really helped this. Her carers go above and beyond and look after her very well which gives us peace of mind. We have also been fortunate
that during this current difficult lockdown situation, Caremark have been able to provide an increased level of care as we requested, which is really appreciated.

Deborah Binner

In February 2013, Debbie and her husband were both unfortunate and yet honoured to see the pinnacle of domiciliary palliative care delivered in their home. Debbie's earlier career saw her presenting SKY News as a television presenter, working in healthcare PR and Media and as Head of Communications for the Department of Health. In her personal trauma tsunami of February 2013 Debbie s appetite for any prior career path evaporated forever. Debbie set up Caremark (Sutton) in July 2013 to deliver the exact same quality of care that she had seen delivered in her own home and that everyone should expect and demand for their own loved ones.


Hannah

Hannah Drury

Job Title: Operations Director

Hannah Drury has taken over from Simon Binner as Operations Director. Hannah attended school locally and has first hand experience of delivering care though illnesses within her own family - her sister and her step father. Hannah has a corporate background in the service industry. She is also currently working on an Open University degree in Psychology and has completed the Cultural Awareness module of the Common Purpose Leadership programme. Hannah is absolutely passionate about driving forward the best possible care in the whole of the London Borough of Sutton: "I've seen truly fantastic care delivered to members of my family," she says. "We can't always change what happens to us; but we can make sure we care for people with dignity, compassion, kindness and absolute professionalism. When I look at our service I ask myself: is this the standard I would expect for my Mum or a member of my family." Hannah says she LOVES working in care and making a difference.

Ron Riosa is our Financial Accountant and is responsible for keeping our finances on track and with ensuring that we are compliant and up-to-date at all times. Ron's background prior to Caremark (Sutton) was as a Fund Accounting Analyst for JP Morgan Bank and prior to that as an Actuarial Analyst for Prudential plc. Ron Riosa holds a degree in Mathematics.


Ron has helped us to accelerate the takeover of another care company in September 2014 and yet another care company in December 2014 by aligning acquired client internal processes as quickly as possible - thus minimising disruption to these new clients and ensuring their care delivery continued uninterrupted.


Julia

Julia Kenneally

Julia Kenneally has previously worked for Caremark (Sutton) as a Field Care Supervisor and then as a Care Coordinator. She has extensive experience in senior supervisory roles and in ensuring compliance with detailed systems.


Julia has a strong personal affinity with our growing customer base and is dedicated to providing the best professional care that we can to each and every customer. She has strong personal links to the geography of Sutton and to the schools and social institutions within the borough.
